This place has moved — it used to be located on the 2500 block of N Clark St. Expect zero pretenses at this tiny, basic Asian fusion noodle shop. I aptly dubbed this joint the«Ramen Factory,» for ramen is the key focus here and it’s damn good! Think flavorful mushrooms, fantastic broth, tender pork and perfectly textured noodles blended together to make every bite slurp worthy. The ingredients were salmagundi, but certainly not salsuginous which I appreciated. Its contemporary cafeteria-esque atmosphere works. Oodles of Noodles serves up decadent noodles and Asian-friendly dishes that do the job when your craving kicks in. I cannot recall the name of the dish I ordered here, but it was serious ramen. All the ingredients dumped into my bowl made for the perfect amalgamation. A bowl of noodles with red miso, black garlic oil, and ivory slices of tender and flavorful pork, and all you need to do is spin, swirl and slurp away! The broth was rich, but yet provided a delicate, well-balanced flavor to my palate. It was not overly saliferous. The price-point is worthy of 4-stars. Parking is challenging in this«Pay to Park» area. The service was non-effusive and slow. Water glasses were not filled as often as we would have liked, but maybe next time we’ll receive effusive service. At times, our Server seemed a bit inimical, but there was no love-lost here. We enjoyed our Oodles of Noodles, and cannot wait to return to try some others.
