Had a groupon for $ 20 so we tried this place out. We ordered the veggie egg rolls for an appetizer and it looked better then it tasted. I think if they would have put more filling in it and not made it so thin it would have brought more flavor to the egg roll. We also had the Tom yum with chicken medium spiciness. Soup was good and spicy on a cold night. We ordered the lard nar and the spicy catfish for an entrée. The lard nar was good but the gravy I thought was a little to thick and it really didn’t have too many noodles. The spicy catfish was ok. Catfish didn’t seem like it was seasoned well. Overall I can see why this place doesn’t get too high in stars. The service doesn’t seem to good but it’s not too bad either. I think it’s just that they are new and not sure on what to do.

First, I don’t usually give one start reviews, but this place was CREEEE-PPPPYY. Have you ever walked into a place, at lunch time on a weekend, looked around and saw no one. We’re told«sit» and pointed to a table. Next it’s «what do you want.» There was this huge pile of bright yellow sludge by the front door… it looked like grease for gears or something. When I say huge, I mean like a gallon of this stuff. No one was concerned about cleaning it up. The menu was only pictures. We stood up and left. Not taking any chances here. Sorry.

Despite the odd first name, this is a thai place. I eagerly away their next location, General Tso’s Thai food. Their other location in lakeview seems well regarded, however this location built on the corpse of Thai Oscar was rather lacking. Their calling card seems to be spicy food, and it was indeed spicy. I got a medium spiced noodle dish(pad khee mao) and it was like eating fire. These folks do not mess around, if I had asked for any spicier it’d have been inedible to me. Sadly the food wasn’t that good(even accounting for spice level). We got carryout and it seemed excessively oily, to the point there was a large pool of(spicy) oil at the bottom of the container. The pad thai I tried was also really… gloopy. Finally, the portion size was kind of small compared to other thai places in the area that charge a similar price. With other great options literally a block away, I doubt we’ll come back here for our thai food needs, unless I develop some medical condition where I have to eat spicy food to live.

We went here last Friday. It’s a cute spot. The food isn’t so great. The shu mai is just heated up from a frozen bag. I won’t go back.

Horrible horrible horrible! Ordered 3 bubble teas which all lacked flavor and sugar what a waste and ordered 2 lunch specials and a crab Rangoon for 32 something dollars. Came home only to find a hair in my food and I thought ok maybe it was mine as I was going in the food there were more pieces of long hair in the food!!! Disgusting! we went back and returned everything when my fiancé went in to show her she pulled out a long piece of hair and just threw it on the floor! She was saying sorry but come on when she was asked if they wear hair nets she said no! They should gross! We ended up just paying for the bubble teas which I thought they should of gave it for free. My 2 year old threw up the bubble tea right after he drank it. I miss thai oscar!!! What a disappointment! Never coming back here again!

Delivery was fast and the food arrived hot, both literally and figuratively. In fact, the food was so damn hot, it was nearly inedible. My friend and I both love spicy foods and I have read all the reviews saying the«medium spicy» is hot enough. So that is what we ordered. Both the Panang Curry with Beef and the Chicken Pad Kee Mao were so freaking spicy. And not spicy in a good way. There were no other flavors to be detected besides HOT. No soy sauce, no ginger, no garlic, no seseame oil. just I can’t feel my face when I’m with you. And I didn’t like it. There was also virtually no meat in the Panang beef and the pot stickers were the WORST version I have ever tried. Which makes me sad, because I love a good pot sticker.

Great service. But terrible food. I asked for delivery but since I’m visiting I didn’t know they were so far but the woman gave me back in cash the $ 4 for delivery. I found it so odd that they put peas and carrots inside of an over cooked pot sticker. And the pad Thai was so gooey and had no flavor.

I’ve driven past this place a few times always confused by the vietnamese dish being the name of a Thai restaurant. Phở. Hmmm… they must have pulled off phở well enough to call their restaurant this. Nope! Let’s get one thing straight. Coming from a vietnamese person, the phở here is not legit. They try to pull it off but the flavor of ginger, star anise, cinnamon, cardamom and other traditional phở spices are completely absent. The only thing I could taste in the broth was garlic. Anyone who has had those instant phở packets know that it tastes similar to that. Is this how they make«phở» in Thailand? Maybe so, but I just think the name of the restaurant is so completely misleading and misrepresentative of the actual dish. I sort of expected the phở to not pass the test so I also ordered an actual Thai dish, the Panang curry with tofu at a medium spice level. I really enjoyed the spice level but it was too sweet and didn’t have enough flavor balance. Like a sweet and spicy dish rather than something savory. It was also a little too soupy for my liking. Blah to the two dishes I ordered.
