100x better than my experience at LA Tan on Clark. Great customer service — the girl knew exactly what she was selling– not just how to sit at a front desk. Everything was clean and welcoming. Good specials. Will be back when I’m ghostly white again.

I have to admit, I was hopeful about this place, but was somewhat let down. My roommate is a regular here so she gave me a guest pass for 3 free tans for new clients. Well, at most tanning salons I find they offer one full week of unlimited tanning to try out the salon to see if you like it. Even though this was only three tans, I decided to try it out anyways. Well here, there was a catch. You have to spend $ 10 on anything in the salon to receive the free tans– which is a rip if you ask me! Why would I be paying when I can get a free week somewhere else? Unfortunately, I have pretty much used up my free weeks at all the chains in the area, so I am no longer considered a new client. So I sucked it up and bought some eyewear and an upgrade to a stand-​up booth.
I waited for around 10 minutes to get into a tanning bed. They have very few beds. Upon getting into my room, I took my time getting undressed and applying lotion. As I was applying my lotion, the bed just automatically turned on! At most places, it won’t turn on automatically, it will just eat away at your time if you use up the allotted time to get undressed and such. And to add on to that, its very unsafe for your eyes to have the bed just GO ON when you aren’t prepared! I was very dissatisfied… be SURE TO ASK FOR MORE PREPARATION TIME.
The only reason I gave them two stars and not one is that the customer service is friendly. The guy at the front desk was informative and pretty nice. Other than that, I was unhappy. I will go back for my next two (SEMI) free tans, but probably not after that.

Ok the best part about Planet beach is CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY. I think it happens every month but I have been 3 times when they were celebrating it and I tan pretty infrequently. The funniest Asian Gay man I have ever met just chats away while you sip white wine and eat chips and salsa. Then you get to go in and tan with a little buzz. Nice. Also I love the galactic theme. Way to stand out guys.

I am not a huge tanning bed fan, but I love the mystic machine. I have been to many tanning salons to do the spray tan. I LOVE this place. The girl at the desk was soo friendly. I am not sure what their machine is called but you turn around in a complete circle. It counts down for you so you know when it sprays. And the color has lasted FOREVER. Usually the spray lasts a few days. This has lasted over a week! It was not streaky at all and within hours I had a great color. The place is very clean and looks great. Plus if your a first time customer they have really great specials. If you are looking for a great tan i suggest going here! I will not go anywhere else ever again. This place is worth checking out!
