Ordered party trays from them and they were very helpful, courteous and everything was ready on time. No trouble ordering and decently prized. They are also our go to when we want chinese for dinner.

Listen– its an americanized chinese food place. Is is authentic? No. Is it the best thing I’ve ever eaten? No. Is is an awesome, reliable, go to chinese take out place with reasonable prices? YES. If you’re looking for a good take out american chinese food place– go here. They have both lunch AND dinner specials, which is awesome. Its fast, its reliable, and its good.

Every time I order food from this place it’s always hot as it was made fresh. The sesame chicken dinner meal comes with a lot of food and it is really good. Never had issues with the delivery and it always come much faster the the eat Emirates delivery time. Definitely try it!

A bit below average. I mean, if I can prepare my own Chinese food that tastes as good as takeout why would I get the takeout. Unfortunately, that’s the debate that I have when I consider ordering from Plenty. While I do like the convenience of getting takeout, I just can’t justify paying money for this. I feel like their favorite spice is pepper. Seriously, I had two dishes that tasted like they were doused in white or black pepper. The first dish, I didn’t like so much because of that. It was chicken with black bean sauce. A fairly basic dish that I don’t think contains lots of pepper but this one did. Then I got a Hunan Shrimp and while that was pretty good, still all I tasted was pepper. Weird. Stay away. But, on a separate note, at least the rice is fresh.

Had to write my first review just to give this place some love. Definitely my go-to for Chinese. Everything I’ve ever ordered here has been great. My boyfriend loves their orange chicken, and he’s a super picky eater. Their egg rolls are amazing, and you can get 2 free if you spend $ 20. Very generous portion sizes, too. Love it.

Wish i could give them a better rating but the food is not very good, the delivery person is so indifferent, and they take forever and a day to deliver your food. We’ve ordered here several times and finally, my coworkers said they couldn’t stomach it anymore. We liked their cheap prices and coupons — so you do get a lot of food, it’s just worth it.

I have tried just about every Chinese delivery place within the 60613 and 60625 area code and Plenty is my «Go To» Chinese place. It’s definitely Americanized Chinese, but tasty. They have excellent customer service and their turn around time for orders is incredible. I’ve ordered takeout from them and it has arrived within a 20 minute window. They are very consistent and their prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. My favorite things are as follows: Egg Rolls Crab Ragoon Pan Fried Pot Stickers Kung Pao Chicken/pork Sesame Chicken Vegetable Fried Rice Mu Shu Pork

Food was terrible. We didn’t like anything in our entire order. General tso was basically a salt lick and hoisin sauce, rice was burnt, potsticker was undercooked inside, overcooked outside, it was totally gross. We didn’t eat most of it:(

BESTEGGROLLSEVER! I haven’t tried a large variety of their menu items, but the portions are decent(I always have lunch the next day), prices are fair, low $ 10 minimum and speedy delivery. I’ve had vegetable lo mein and chicken lo mean, both of which were equally delicious. The chicken noodle soup is a mainstay when it’s cold out and I’m feeling under the weather. But all 5 of my stars go to the egg rolls. I wouldn’t know an authentic egg roll if I woke up with one in my mouth, but the egg rolls at Plenty have become one of my favorite guilty pleasures. They contain peanut butter, but I don’t know how it’s used. I’m told it’s used as ‘glue’ to hold the wrapper together. The egg rolls don’t taste overly peanut-buttery, but they definitely have that rich flavor hidden in the layers. I order the delicious chili oil hot sauce to dip them in and I’m in heaven. I could be happy just ordering a few orders of egg rolls and pigging out. SODAMNEDGOOD! I can’t say it enough. I am in love with these egg rolls.

Plenty is not very expensive and the portions are well sized. Plus if you order $ 20, you get 2 free eggrolls or 2 free crab rangoon — woot woot! So all the food is slightly above decent but I wouldn’t go all the way to saying it’s great. I’ve tried their eggrolls, crab rangoon, lemon chicken and orange chicken and enjoyed them all. Ordering Chinese is tough around me because it’s either get it way cheap at somewhere akin to Plenty or cough up the extra funds and have truly delicious Chinese. Whenever I decide to go with the former, Plenty fits my bill just fine. They always have good service, fast delivery and have always got my order right! :)

OMG Sweet Sweet Delicious food, plenty of it, cheap prices. I ordered a bunch of different dishes to try the variety. I specifically try to eat healthy, but this is not healthy chinese. I knew that, and I hate myself. This food is awesome tasting. a bit of a «gook» factor… the type like«why is this gook i dropped on the floor 4 days ago, still moist?» Awesome tasting food. Not healthy, i know this. like eating a tub of ice cream

The food is by no means the best, let’s be honest. Even for Americanized Chinese, it’s mediocre. That said, it’s really not bad. The price is very good, especially considering the portion sizes, you’re going to have leftovers(hence the name of the place?). The delivery is scary quick. Go with the lunch/dinner specials. Meats are always tasty. The fried rice isn’t that bad. Lo mein and other noodle dishes, proceed with caution. Peanut in the egg rolls is really great. I will say that flavor overall is somewhat lacking, but they send soy sauce, so it kinda works out. If you’re in Lincoln Square/North Center area and needing pretty ok Chinese food and quickly that will also lead to you having your next meal(or two) lined up in one swoop, this is totally your spot.

Look, it’s strip mall Chinese food. You’re getting exactly what you expect when you tipsily google«Chinese» in the GrubHub search at the end of a long day. It’s not fancy. It’s not gourmet. But for me, it was delicious! Flavorful, savory chicken fried rice; perfectly cooked plump crab rangoon; and giant egg rolls(don’t be scared that they’re made with peanut butter — soo good!). I appreciated the abundant sauces included with my order. And I can’t believe it was delivered piping hot in under 20 minutes. Great prices, huge portions, quick delivery, happy diner.

I wish I had better things to say, as the gentleman working the counter was very friendly… but I don’t. We ordered potstickers, chicken fried rice, General Tso’s chicken and all were disappointing at best. The potstickers were very doughy, which might have been a good thing had the filling been tasty. Unfortunately filling was bland so the whole thing didn’t taste like much but unseasoned dough. The chicken fried rice was ok at best. I honestly cannot think of anything good or bad to say about it. Finally the General Tso’s, which was the ultimate disappointment. It tasted like no G.T. that I’ve ever had. It just was strange, not spicy at all. A little smoky tasting. After we ate(and there were a lot of leftovers) and cleaned up, an hour later I noticed that my house smelled strange. Almost like something had burned. I am not sure if the sauce was scorched or if that’s just the taste they are going for or what. All I can say is my husband and I will not be back.

The sweetest of people but the food is not that good. It’s just something missing about it. I’ve had several meals from them but this last one just confirmed I was right. I couldn’t even finish it all. But they’re so nice. Food has always been hot. But other than that, you can find better tasting food.

Really good neighborhood Chinese food. I can’t speak to delivery because I live 1 block away and always get pick-up, but the food is always ready super fast and way ahead of when Grubhub estimates. The guy who is normally at the counter is super friendly.

Probably the most American Chinese I’ve ever had. Their Orange Chicken tastes EXACTLY like McDonalds chicken nuggets. Other notes: * The Crab Rangoon’s were uncomfortably big and orange(threw away immediately) * My fortune cookie said: «A man’s best possession is his wife» * Carly Rae Jepsen’s «I Really Like You» started playing when delivery guy came * Delivery guy looked like a kind of out-of-work, Italian John Stamos * I liked the chicken fried rice

We just moved from Wicker Park to Roscoe Village and we had to find a new Chinese restaurant, so we decided to try Plenty. It was very good! It arrived a half hour earlier than the estimated time and my soup was still hot enough that I had to wait for it to cool down to eat. I had the general tso chicken and it had great flavor and was nice and spicy with fresh veggies. I ordered through grub hub and we spent enough to get free chicken fried rice which was ok. My boyfriend loved his Mongolian Beef and his son really enjoyed his sweet and sour chicken. Will order again!

Never ever order from Plenty Chinese! We found a rock in our food. Like a big huge half inch wide cement looking rock! And they were really unhelpful and rude when we called them and wanted a refund for their inedible food. They accused us of putting it there and we even brought all the food back. Terrible response and dangerous!
