Popeye’s Famous Fried Chicken

Drove to the window & a employee said «One second, your order is going to be 30 minutes.»
We didn’t even have a chance to order…

Longest wait EVER!!! The chicken is cooked, sides are cooked, drinks are premixed… so pray tell, WHY DOES IT TAKE SO LONG???
Food is good. But the service sucks. Tip to the owner, don’t put the girl with an attitude at the register or drive through window. She needs ZERO customer interaction.

If you plan on waiting an hour for your food here is your place!!! Place is filthy full of lazy rude people!!! Order is always WRONG! Even Watched the girl pick her nasty head then touch someone’s food!

Definitely the worst location I’ve been to in the city. I was the only one in the drive thru and still waited like 30 minutes. Also didn’t even get what i ordered in the end, ordered fish was given chicken.

After coming to this place over a year I must say they are the SLOWEST Popeyes in Chicago!!! The line is always wrapped on Sunday’s as if they don’t properly prepare. If Sunday’s are your busy days the manager should know this and have extra help and more chicken ready. You have to literally give up 30+ minutes of your life to wait for your food. Please fix this!!!
The chicken is usually good no complaints there but the wait is entirely too slow for FAST FOOD. I stopped coming here and just started traveling to the location on Kedzie & Chicago ave. I’m usually in & out there with hit food.

Earlier today, I visited this popeyes location with the intention of purchasing dinner for my girlfriend and myself. What I got was the absolute WORST drive thru service I have ever received in my entire life. The attitude of the woman taking my order was so horrid and rude, that I told her to cancel the order because her attitude was terrible. I took my business elsewhere. Despite the fact that only two people were affected in this scenario, I didn’t appreciate how I was talked to, even with how polite and nice I was to her. The conversation went as followed:
*approached the drive thru*
The woman immediately yelled out HOLD ON! Like I had been asking for her attention multiple times. She goes OK WHAT DO YOU WANT. I go uhmmm I’ll have a number 10 please, and she interrupts me and goes SIDE. and I was like uhmmm how about mashed potatoes please! She goes YOU WANT THE DRINK? I’m like uh no thank you! She goes THAT IT? I go no ma’am! As my girlfriend hadn’t ordered yet. She says the total and goes PULL UP TO THE WINDOW. I go oh no I wasn’t done yet! In a nice voice, she goes OH KAY PULL UP TO THE WINDOW I’LL ADD IT ON YOU SAID YOU WAS DONE.
I work two jobs in the service industry, so I know bad days affect your attitude with other customers through the day, but the tone in this woman’s voice along with her unprofessional attitude was completely unacceptable. If this is how other employees are allowed to act, then you really need to reevaluate how you train them and allow them to talk to guests. I will never again return to this popeyes.

Terrible! It’s freezing in the lobby, second what is up with the prison glass? Thirdly no salt or pepper in the place? And they call this a chicken shack!
Not likely to return back.

Worst Popeye’s ever! 3 of the 3 times I have been here, the staff either is rude, can’t get my order correct, or makes me wait 10 minutes for a small order, or all of the above.

The chicken is always good and greasy (good greasy) their red beans and rice and biscuits are very delicious but the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese taste so cheap.
Drive thru always takes forever even if you are the second car in line. the inside is so tiny and sometimes there are homeless people in there begging while you are eating. They have bullet proof glass, REALLY!
I hate It when you wait in line and place your order and you get to the window and they tell you it’s going to be another 15 mintue wait on chicken when you just waited 15 in line. ugh! Do you stay or do you go? that is the question.
The parking lot is huge and clean, the inside is somewhat clean
The customer service is pretty bad, you can tell that they hate their job and don’t want to be here! When I was 16 I worked at popeyes a different one and I hated my job too but I did it with pride and integrity it trains you for real life and the kind of job you really want, It’s the key to been successful.
So no excuse do your job! And you will be great.
