Best damn bar food in Rodgers park. Drinks are reasonable price in comparison. 5 $ any grilled cheese on Monday. Try the last one on the menu.

Yesterday was my second time visiting Pup 626 with my friends. I’m glad we made it out in spite of the crazy on again, off again rain. My first here, I didn’t order any food, but we were starving last night, and fortunately for us, our sever had patience. Its hard to order food when you’re a moment of sanity away from using your own arm as starter. Finally we all ordered our first round of beers(and hard cidar for those anti-ale) and delicious food. The chicken wings and tenders were almost to spicy to enjoy, but we enjoyed them anyway. They are seriously hot, so if you’re into that sort of thing you’ll enjoy them! Also they offer sweet potatoe fried which are ! The only thing that to add which was mildly disappointing, was the buffalo chicken sandwich. The chicken itself was amazing, but the crumbled blue cheese gave it an almost tangy/salty taste idk. The sandwhich felt like it was missing something to really offset the blue cheese… ANYWAY, great music LOVE the old school hip-hop. They also play great 90s alternative; from A Tribe Called Quest to Metallica!!! And its hella spacious and clean. Overall, excellent choice in after hrs spot with friends since theyre open til 2am, or if you just need to get grab a quick bite, chill and have a drink. Oh, and did I mention the pool table?!

I was kidnapped and ended upi at Pub 626. I have never ventured this far north(no matter how involuntarily) but boy I am glad to have experienced the burger at Pub 626! It was around 11PM and I was craving a real good burger. After looking at all the photos, I was sold because of how big they were and how they were build your own. I also REALLY enjoyed the sweet potato fries. When dipped in their homemade honey mustard… omg. Orgasmic.

Filed under ‘Mundays’ Six2Six offers an amazing grilled cheese – with turkey and tomatoes – a bowl of tomato soup, and steak fries at a steal price of $ 5. Couple that with discounted wine/vodka cocktails/beer, and you have a glorious meal complemented with quality liquor at about the same price you’d pay for a Subway sammy. And there’s food specials each day; not just Mundays…

Just moved to the area and met a friend for drinks and lunch here. Thought the prices were a little high for this area. Anyway, the food was amazing. Ordered the grilled cheese with prosciutto, goat cheese and caramelized onions. Accompanied by tomato soup and fries all for under $ 12. You have to order this. I will go back to this place just for this meal! There’s a pool table, juke box and the music was fun. If you’re in the area and looking for good food and drinks this is your place. Directly next to the Morse red line too!

Who’d think that a Pub, in the middle of Rogers Park would have so many GREAT, vegetarian options!!! Pub 626 most certainly does!626. Let’s discuss if I may, The Amazing Kale Burger. It might just be the BEST veggie burger, I’ve ever had. At Pub 626, this amaze-balls kale burger is topped with kale chips, chipotle-cream cheese and a side of black bean spread. Oh but wait, did I mention it also comes with fries. You choose, sweet potato or regular… I always get mine with a side of garlic mayo for an added taste explosion. The next best Veggie Love option is The Veggie-Ca Do. It’s a nicely sized veggie quesadilla type deal with avocado, kale, pico de gallo, black bean spread and pepper jack cheese. It’s so damn good! There are also a few pasta choices I have yet to try because I can’t stop eating the Amazing Kale Burger and The Veggie-Ca Do. Mhhhmmm… Up next, The Sunday Brunch. I would have never thought that a pub would even know what Quinoa or Kimchi is, let alone serve it on a Sunday for brunch, in a bowl… Pub 626 does it and does it well! The Breakfast Bowl is served with spicy tofu, an over easy egg(or whatever way you desire), tomatoes, kimchi, sauteed onions and drizzled with tomatillo salsa. Hot Damn! Other brunch options are: The Veggie Breakfast Burrito, Chilaquiles, Veggie Breakfast Burger, or you can always, build your own omelet. …Side Note(s)… Pool Table, Photo Booth, Video Game(s) and Awesome Daily Specials! …Side Side Note… It’s a stone’s throw away from the Morse stop on the Red line. So when you’ve had a few, no worries… :) *Eating Out With A Girl* #EOWAG #EatingOutWithAGirl

I’m impressed… Especially for Rogers Park! Okay, that said I’m indeed going to be checking this pub out again this week as I have business up north and want to try some new and exciting restaurants! I’m excited for the other foods on the menu…

Super bad service… drinks watered down unless they were served from a can. Food was cold. Manager extremely uncaring. He only catered to his regulars seated towards the front area. Little Indian server was only attentive to one boy in our party of four. Everyone else was ignored. Sat without a drink for quite some time. By the time he asked me, I was not interested. This place had no substance, lacked any positive vibes or a feel-good atmosphere and in my opinion is not worthy of a Second visit. Do yourself a favor and do not even attempt a first. We spent well over 100 bucks, and it was a dismal disappointing experience. Sad because this place is only a block From my apartment and I was hoping to host my work bday party there. Not gonna happen now. I highly UN-recommend this place with my deepest regret and hope you make a Better choice. It’s a definite no from me.

I pass by this place daily and finally decided to try it out for brunch. This is not the place to go for brunch! My boyfriend and I started with drinks. He got a spiked iced coffee that was basically watered down coffee with a splash of baileys. My «Michelada» was a Modelo beer with a glass of tomato juice-I had to build my own drink. We ordered a breakfast burrito and a turkey burger, that was to come with spicy olive tapenade. It took almost an hour for the food to arrive; we had to remind the server we hadn’t gotten our food after 45 minutes. The breakfast burrito was just that-a mediocre burrito with egg, potato and chorizo. My turkey burger was clearly frozen and came with a fried egg and avocado, NOT spicy olive tapenade as per the menu. My sweet potato fries were the best part of the meal. Brunch menu is small and food isn’t abundant, if they don’t forget about your order.

Eh. It’s nothing special. They have a good food and beer selection. Their roasted chicken quesadilla is pretty tasty. In the grand scheme of things, they are one of the better dining options on Morse, but the food isn’t anything special compared to other similar spots outside of Rogers Park. This isn’t to say it’s a terrible place, just that there’s really nothing that sets it apart from any other ‘bar/grill’. As far as atmosphere goes, the exposed ceilings and concrete floors make it feel like I’m sitting in a Costco food court, not some place I’d want to spend any length of time at. Service was average for Rogers Park. I waited 5 mins at the bar(on a not so busy night) before a bartender came over for my order. Probably average given how not-so-busy the place was. So, all of this ‘meh’ is why I’m giving it a 3 star rating. Nothing was terrible, nothing was amazing, it was just an overall meh experience. For those of your coming for booze… they’re slightly above other Rogers Park area bars, but that’s to be expected.

Stopped by here for a quick bite to eat. We were at another place around the corner that didn’t serve food so we came here to get our fill. Pub 626 is a modern open floor plan sports bar. They have tall boys and bar seating as well as some lounge chair areas. The burger and fries I had were great and they had a good selection of beers on tap. This was like a bar you would find closer to the loop but without the large crowds. It is similar to Standard Bar, Fifty/50, or Benchmark. The bartender that served us was very friendly and joined us in some friendly conversation. I thought this was a great place and if we lived in the area this would be a regular place we would come to. There seemed to be a good amount of regulars who were coming in for a relaxing night at the bar. They weren’t dressed to impress and simply wanted to throw a few back.

I was a regular since the first week this bar was open… and today I was asked never to return because I have honest feedback. Out of 7 servers, I had a complaint about one. Out of an entire menu, I said the sweet potato fries could be a little more crunchy. This SOLICITED feedback from staff is why one owner said«don’t spend your money here because you complain too much» and another asked(less than 90 seconds later) «why are you still here?» I have never — in my personal or professional life as a corporate event planner that manages expectations all day long — felt so attacked and inappropriate then I did after this owner’s response. Let me clarify that I was not drunk, per my bar tab. Unfortunately… management doesn’t care about the customer’s feedback. Just ask them.

This place is super nice. I love Rogers Park but we lack a sports bar. This place could be amazing. The staff is great and seem to have a commitment to local craft beer.

We got here halfway through the hawks playoff game and lucked out in getting what I’m sure was the last table in the place! It was pretty busy, but I was surprised that the volume level wasn’t terrible. Of course we were all really focused on the game. It was a Monday so the 626 burger was only $ 6.26! A really good burger at a really good price. Yummy sweet potato fries made me happy, but I was a little jealous of how good my husband’s fries were! This isn’t a gourmet restaurant. It’s a pub, with a good burger and friendly service. I’m happy with that. Oh and that Smith Forge Hard Cider was lovely!

First visit – 626 replaced the previous«cantina» place and only open about five weeks. Good first impression: will be back. Guy that greeted us and waited our table was really friendly and quick and detailed the entire time. Better quality service than you get at a lot of other corner places. Had the pulled pork nachos. Expected very little from a pub grub place, and I’d say they were a step above what I expected: flavorful, meaty, and served with a homemade-tasting queso sauce and fresh cut avocado. Craft beer selection isn’t extensive, but enough had enough solid standbys(Revolution IPA, Lagunitas IPA) and another local brown ale, that I was plenty happy for a neighborhood pub. Printed beer menu was out of date and only listed some brewery names instead of the actual beers. Beer deal was $ 6 for a pint, or $ 9 for a 32oz. Marks down for place closing at 10p even though the website said midnight so we got pushed out a little earlier than expected. Ambiance still feels a little empty, but that was mostly cause they didn’t have a ton of people yet and it’s a big space. But food exceeded expectations, friendly service, and easy going and walking distance so I’ll be back.

I went here and ordered a burger and beers and it was all good. The burger was very good sized and juicy and they have a variety of beers to choose from. I didn’t know exactly what to try and the very nice bartender lady offered me a selection of three for 12 bucks. I liked the second the best(IPA) but all were of good quality. The crowd was not much on that week night but was eclectic which made it more interesting and comforting. It’s brand new so go try it. Life’s too short :)

We went on burger night. It’s 6.26 $ for a burger and fries. I think that’s about 2 $ off the normal price. I found it a bit over down for medium. Sweet potato fries were a bit salty but ok. I had chicken fingers. Can’t really go wrong with those. They were crispy, I liked that! The honey mustard and BBQ sauce were good too. Would return but not sure what I’d get. Small menu. It was also 8 $ double draft night. My boyfriend got 2 drafts that he was happy with.

Great place to hang out, pub fare that is slightly better than average. They’re brand new and definitely still finding their legs, but I can see a lot of potential. Looking forward to coming back soon and seeing how things may have changed. Was here with my permanent roommate, the TV was too loud, but assume that’s because a Bulls game was on. Service was excellent, super friendly, and knowledgeable from the step into the restaurant until the moment we left. We got the mac and cheese, nachos, and chicken pasta dish. All of them were good, but nothing necessarily to write home about. But we will be back again to play pool, watch a game, and enjoy the local beer selection.
