$ 6.66 was my total after tax.(1 Italian Torpedo, 1cup Broccoli Cheese soup). I am not superstitious nor do I hail the Prince of Darkness but my inner child in me thought that was just plain cool. When I get home from work, I’m going to pull out the old Black Sabbath records, maybe listen some Randy Rhoads, who knows. Oh, and the food/service/experience was OK. I will be back in another 6 – 8 months.

About once a year, I’m wandering around this area unsure of what to get for lunch and it’s been just long enough that I forget how much I dislike Quiznos that I end up walking through that door and ordering myself a sandwich. Every time, it’s a mistake. The sandwich toasting is a nice feature. I will give them that. Sadly, the ingredients themselves are a disappointment. Every sandwich I have ever had at Quiznos tastes like an overwhelming mouthful of preservatives inbetween two pieces of bread. The meat is all processed disgustingness, and the sauces that sound so delicious and are squeezed out of intriguing looking triple pronged squeeze bottles are just as bad. Everything that goes on the sandwich between the bread and the final veggies/toppings/garnishes are a huge disappointment. And those aren’t anything special.

When given the choice between Quizno’s or Subway, I will almost always pick Subway when it comes to a standard sandwich. Quizno’s, however, also has soup, salad and some random extra goodies. I had to try out the Sammies, and to tell the truth, if you have only a dollar and you’re looking for lunch — you’re better off going to McDonald’s and getting a double-cheeseburger or a McChicken sandwich. This Sammie thing was three bland bites of food and then a long period of regret as I passed by a few McDonald’s during the rest of the day and remembered how much better-spent that dollar could have been. Their salad was pretty decent, during my brief phase of the Atkins diet. Their location doesn’t have a lot of room to sit and eat, though. Given the choice, go one door down to Subway. That’s what I do…

I adore Quizno’s. I was momentarily blinded to this fact when they discontinued my favorite sandwich, but I’ve found if you ask nicely at any location, they’ll still make it. Because of this, I go back again and again. One of the great things about Quizno’s is that you order your sandwich, and then try and peer over the signs(if you’re short like me) to make sure they’re making your sandwich just right. At this location, it doesn’t work like that. You tell the cashier what you want, you pay for it, then you wait for them to call your number. Like any regular fast food place. I was afraid for a few minutes that they would screw up my order. I’m pretty picky. Even though the place was crowded, the cashier was relaxed, didn’t rush me along, and made sure he heard and understood everything I said. I waited only a few minutes for my order. Best of all, it was right! My only complaint is that they aren’t open for dinner. Lunch only. Also, should I ever choose to eat at the location, there isn’t much seating.
