Delicious! Got the turkey club sandwich and it was delicious! The portion was more than enough and the fries that came with it, were excellent too! Would order again in the future.

This place is neat. Very cool historical pictures decorate the walls. It’s dark, so if you like a lot of light, probably not the best choice for you, but I think it adds to its character. Reasonable prices and very attentive waitress and staff. I had the famous BLT– very yummy. The double chocolate martini milkshake was delicious(but filling!), but their regular margarita wasn’t the best… very syrup-like. Overall, I’d recommend and would definitely return again.

This place is fantastic!!! It’s brunch time on a Sunday and the line is way out the door at wildberry. We are the only people here right now and the burgers, fries and drinks are unbelievable. I’m so happy we came!

Half price appetizers after 10pm, woohoo! I had the burger sliders and cheese curds, it was great. Drinks was good and the ambience was great for someone visiting Chicago looking for a local feel. Went back the next day for lunch with colleagues and had the pastrami on rye. Food is all good!

This place was really close to the hotel I was staying at. I was really craving a burger so I ordered the mushroom swiss. It was really good! It came with fries which were delicious. It was pretty reasonable.

Rudy’s came recommended as a nice feature Chicago bar by the Residence Inn Downtown Loop. My colleague and I met some customers there and had a great time. Not the type of place for fancy entertaining. They had the ballgame on along with pretty loud music in the background. The bar area was busy. They have quite a few craft and standard beers on tap along with a nice selection in bottles. Their tap beer was quite pricey at around $ 7 – 8 per glass. They were featuring martini specials for less. Go with the specials unless you really are in the mood for craft beer. I stuck with the Bells Two Hearts which I never had before. Quite smooth and not too hoppy, although I like hoppy. The dining area was a bit less noisy, but still quite vibrant. For dinner I had the Mexicado Burger done with a homemade veggie burger. It was surprisingly tasty, yet a bit mushy and not too firm. They give quite a nice portion of cole slaw which was pretty good as well. The staff was friendly and attentive, sometimes even funny.

$ 5.00 Margarita Thursdays? Yes please. Hosts and bartenders are super friendly in this dive-ish place. It’s a true bar, dark and crowded, but not too crowded. I recommend making a reservation otherwise you might wait 20+ minutes for a table(if you’re eating). Their food is awesome, even if the portions are somewhat smaller than most pub food. It’s a great place and they have a great menu. Their fried pickles are stellar! They have happy hours and daily deals as well, which they list on their website. All super reasonable and some are straight up a steal. Great for a friendly gathering, but wouldn’t recommend it for any sort of business.

First Off that Manager Guy at the front door w/the HEAD Set — He is NO Joke, stand up guy for sure. More places like Rudy’s need guys like him! We had sat/ordered and waited for about 25minutes and my buddy called him over. That guy must be Nostradamus or something because he knew we were going to get in his ear about why the longer wait. It was lunch hour in the loop on a FRIDAY so we all understood. He was like it’s been 22(minutes) we are getting it out ASAP. Sure enough it was right out that moment. So on the service today — A1 Rudy’s great job! As for the FOOD, forget bout it! One of the best burgers in Chicago and probably the best one in the LOOP. My co-workers are breakfast burger coinsurers that have been there multiple times before so they knew what they had been getting into. One of my buddies went with the local Berghoff Root Beer which he loves so much I thought he was going to poor it on himself while the Def Leopard played in the background. My other buddies had a coke and lemonade classic picks to accompany any tasty BURGER. I stepped out of bounds and went with the SKIRT Steak Sammy, boy was that the best IDEA I had in an hour because not only was the Dry Rub on it very flavorful but the onion strings(cooked to perfection w/crunch), bread(so fresh) and tenderness of the meat made me almost FALL out of my CHAIR! Best steak sandwich east of the Mississippi BYFAR! If the pricing was a few $$$ less I would eat this Sammy every week, but again I know I am in the LOOP! All around GREATSERVICE and ol boy up front took a small discount off our bill because he knew who he was dealing with and knows REALLEGIT customers when he sees them! GRAZIE! UN delizioso hamburger e steak sandwich che fa venire l’acquolina in bocca e la fronte gronda sudore in emozioni. Best Fresh Cut FRIESALSO!

This is about as dive as it gets in the loop. Which is honestly not very divey. But Rudy’s is nothing too fancy and you can nearly always grab a seat. They have a full menu with a ton of offerings, as well as a beer list that’s nothing to scoff at. They have a good selection of craft brews though don’t expect anything rare or overally special in that list. It will do though, as yes, it will do. Staff is always attentive at Rudy’s which is a good thing in the loop. Rudy’s isn’t a spot I’d venture out to visit but if in the area and need to catch some brews, it’s a good option. It’s like a lot of other spots in the loop with a narrow walk way behind the bar to get to a bigger section in the back full of tables. So if you walk in and the bar is full, don’t be discouraged — you can probably still grab a seat in the back!

Came here on a hot Saturday afternoon. Exhausted and in need for food. Called at 6 and the manager said we should be good if we come in now. We came in around 6:20pm and was told to wait at the bar. Ok. Then we asked if they have an extra chair, the waitress pointed at the corner. WEMOVED our own chair to the bar. Calling me cranky. We were very hungry… The food was ok, I had the mushroom swiss burger. Friends had the crispy chicken sandwich and no carb dinner burger. The burgers were not cooked according to our request, medium rare looked more cooked than medium well. Our server was very friendly!

Okay. Ordered a burger from here and I mean damn. Could they have burnt it anymore than they could. My goodness. I want it well done, but not so burnt that I have to rip off the top of the beef and eat between the middle. Jesus. Anywho, I will stick with my brisket sandwiches and run with that. The french fries are legit and the mac and cheese is good too.

Came into Rudys bar and grill for some suds and burgers. Had a local brew IPA(Sumpin’ Sumpin’) which was pretty good. I was recommended by the waiter to have the BBQ burger. Ordered that burger medium rare. Came out a little over cooked for being medium rare. The burger was alright nothing special. Could of had a few more or just some bigger onion rings on it. Besides that the atmosphere was nice friendly waiter and good service.

They have the best crispy fried green beans and milkshakes! Those are the only things I get when I come here, because they are awesome! The chocolate milkshake is my favorite! The staff is always really friendly and the customer service is great!

Finally! I have found a bar in the loop with a good atmosphere, excellent service and great daily specials. I was walking by Rudy’s on a cold January day and almost missed it, thankfully their outside chalkboard advertising $ 3 bloody mary’s caught my eye. The bartender was great, making a mean bloody, and being very attentive. Drinks are strong, food is solid, $ 5 martinis on Tuesdays, come here now!

My most-recent visit was when I happened to be in the Loop and in need of a good burger. It was 10:30 on a school night; not many choices.(Now that is one thing that Manhattan has on Chicago.) But damn, that was a wonderful, juicy blue cheeseburger! Perfectly cooked medium rare, the way I like it. Good crispy/fluffy fries as well. I’ve only been here at off-hours, late on weeknights or late on a Friday afternoon, but it’s almost like a neighborhood bar at those times. Very friendly barmaid as well(if I might use that old-fashioned term in a non-sexist way? No? You’re absolutely right. The bartender was professional, friendly and prompt, and I’ve got to say sweet as well – sorry!)

I like the location, i like the atmosphere, I like the service, I like the reasonably priced menu, I like the décor, I wish I could like the food but I did not. It was very mediocre, and it seemed like it took a good chunk of time to get orders out. I was watching them bring out plates to different tables and pretty much everyone was either eating a burger or a sandwhich. My daughter had the wimpy burger, I had the farmhouse chicken, and my wife had some chicken nuggets. The stand outs were the coleslaw and the pickle slices. I was happy to see that they had Schlitz, Old Style, and Hamm tall boys available. They also have a drink special menu and on a Saturday night in downtown Chicago we were able to get Sam Adams Winter Lager for $ 3 a draft. I would come back for a beverage and perhaps try the nachos, but if they have a go to food item on the menu, I did not experience it this visit.

The Mac and Cheese here was pretty bomb, it was so big, i got it with sausage chicken and corn, so good and so big, I was stuffed. Also their bread pudding is one of the best ive had, nice and moist and a healthy portion. Next visit i got the Wimpy Burger with fries, a solid burger, no complaints After that, I got the grilled cheese, which on a pretzel bun was really good. Id say for sure if its your first time get the mac and cheese, it was the best thing i got by far. Unless you wanna try the skillet challenge, which if so godspeed. Didnt get to try any beer yet but i think they got a decent selection.
