Splash pad fun in the Summer time. My kids love going here to play in the Splash pad. We usually go to the library inside the Chicago Park District building and when we leave we hit the Splash pad. It’s nothing fancy and the other kids always play nice. We’re happy that this park is so close by and we can enjoy it all Summer.

I agree with the last reviewer Molly P. Sayre Park is coming along & dong SO much better. There are classes to sign up for, the field-house has had improvements and there are families using all of the amenities. Much of this has to do with a new energized staff. Thank You Sayre employees! I am so glad to see this resource waking up in our neighborhood

This park has come so far in the last 5 years! The playground with water feature is a blast. It’s well used and there are always other kids to play with. Lots of regulars too, so it’s easy for kids to make friends. The park programming is really improving too. My youngest son was in the Kiddie College last year and it was wonderful! The improvements to the park are the result of active and involved neighbors — so if you live in Galewood, please come to the park and become involved too!

Great playground since the new renovation last year. Safe overall. The summer is best because of the water attractions. But if you are not there for the water, it becomes a hassle because all of the other rides and such become wet. So unless you are there to get wet, dont go.

Pretty good park. Playground has two play structures, two swingsets, a splash pad, a small garden, and trains running by to excite your small kids. A branch of the Chicago Public Library is also in the field house, and there are soccer fields and stuff here too. Plenty of free street parking. Everyone I met here is pretty friendly too.
