Have been in the store a few times — agree with others, they have really good bakery items. Cannoli are great and we especially like their biscotti — REALLYGOOD! They are great with coffee!

I have had the Italian sandwich, focaccia pizzas, and tiramisu from there and none of them have disappointed. Nothing fancy about this spot but it is real with no frills and just great food!

Like the stars depict, Sicilia Bakery is as good as it gets. Bread, deli and pastries are phenomenal! May they have 50 more years of success!

I drive to this bakery from Mundelein, and have a friend who drives in from Lake Villa. Why, you ask? Because we’ve been spoiled by the quality of the goods sold by Sicilia Bakery! I’m sorry for repeating what others have stated, but they really DO have the BEST cannoli’s I’ve ever tasted!!! The best cucidati cookies! The best breads. The best Sicilian pan pizza. And, get this — the best prices! I recently went to a bakery that’s in my town and picked up their cucidati cookies, and all I can say is, we had to use a magnifying glass to find the skinny little line of fig filling. I’m not kidding about that. We thought they were just butter cookies until we pulled them up to our eyes and squinted. And they were quite pricey! In addition, Sicilia Bakery has been around for decades and they seem to have a relationship with a lot of regulars. It’s a family run business and everyone hustles to get you in and out as quickly as possible. Everything is fresh, too. You won’t find them selling cannoli’s filled the day before, resulting in a limp shell, the way so many other bakeries do. Once you’ve been to Sicilia Bakery, all other bakeries disappoint. I HIGHLYHIGHLY recommend this place!

Sicilia Bakery is my family’s «go to» for excellent cannoli and cannoli cake. No celebration is complete without a cannoli cake! I’ve had cannoli at other places and they do not compare to the cannoli from Sicilia. All their pastries are delicious, really. They are more than just a bakery though. They have excellent pan pizza and the deli sandwiches and Italian specialties are mouth-watering delicious. They also have an assortment of imported Italian grocery items. You can eat there or take your items home. And best of all — its affordable! Overall, this is your quintessential no-frills family-owned local business. The staff is friendly and down to earth. You will not be disappointed.

Never go to a subway or jimmy johns again if you have access to this place. Also, the italian cookies are a plenty, very reasonably priced, and insanely tasty. If you need pizza, they got it. They have these cannoli buns. Holy cow, have them heat one up for you or take some home and zap them in the microwave. They have about 5 tables so you can eat right in the bakery by the windows. They close at 6pm I think

Sicilia has the BEST Cannolis in THEWORLD. Really? I’m not kidding. I have been going to Sicilia Bakery for 40 years. I remember getting the great thick crust pan-style pizza by the piece when I was a boy. The quality of all of their pizzas, breads(to die for), and bakery items are great and always fresh. Highly recommended. Great prices tool Once you go there, it will be on your radar forever. You’ll find car steering itself there if you’re within 3 miles. Sometimes I’ll just get a few apple slices, tiramisu, eclairs, or cookies — bring them to my friends or to work — and every time people ask where I got these treats from because they want more. Don’t forget the spinach/feta pizza for a great lunch!

Gotta give it up for this place — I was in the area for work and had skipped lunch. As a large mammal, this means I was super hungry and started ordering a bunch of stuff — I’m italian and this place is legit. Anyway, one of the things i got was the spinach and ricotta calzone, but it would have taken a couple minutes to heat up and i was in a rush, so i changed my order. anyway, the cute girl there ended up GIVINGMETHECALZONE for later — how many places do this in 2014? Welp, this place did, and I had to say thanks. If you are in the area and HUNGRY for good eats, you need to stop here. BTW — the calzone was delicious. Thanks, Cute Girl.

Great little place with good prices. We usually get takeout during the week and everything we’ve tried has been delicious so far – the eggplant parmesan, arancini and meatballs.

It isn’t the biggest selection you’re going to find, but everything they do is absolutely wonderful. We have been a few times and not once have we been disappointed with anything. The sandwiches are tasty, the pizza is delicious, and the bread is perfect. As a bonus, this is a perfect place for people watching. The cast of neighborhood characters that come in are awesome, and the owner knows them all and has a great banter with them. The only thing we would suggest is getting more seating to eat inside.

Soo delicious! Thick crust, tasty sauce, yummy cheese. Nothing special inside, but very nice people. Great when you want something a little different than typical pizza in Chicago.

I’ve been past this place a hundred times and can’t believe I’ve been missing out the whole time. Ordered the italian sandwich. Was the best sandwich I’ve had on the northwest side. Topped it off with a fresh cannoli cookie all for $ 8. It will definitely be a place I stop every whenever I’m in the area.

I ordered an 8 inch cannoli cake for my birthday yesterday. I was so in the mood for a delicious cannoli cake… boy was I disappointed. Had a weird taste to it… Also they forgot something… THEFREAKINCANNOLI !!! Thin strip of cannoli filling… They really put a damper on my birthday… I miss my 20 bucks…

I stopped in a few weeks ago because Mom had requested that I pick up «something» for the coffee. I was in the area, saw the sign and presto, there I was. They had a nice assortment of cookies. I got Christopher some of the cherry drop cookies and then a few pastries. They had some very plain cookies I got for Mom, because she doesn’t like anything overly sweet. In addition, I picked up a loaf of Italian bread which was good and actually kept quite well. The other half of the store is like a deli, so I got some Italian meatballs, some pizza and a few jars of imported spaghetti sauce. All in all, I was quite satisfied with what I got, but I do want to try more items down the road.

I was kind of impressed with the food. I wasn’t expecting much since I had $ 15 Groupon for a 1 topping Sicilian pan pizza, 12 jumbo chicken wings with fries, 2 cannolis and a 2-liter of soda. I liked the pizza and my husband really liked the spicy BBQ wings(more than the Buffalo). The place has a little bit of an identity crisis b/c it’s a combination of a bakery/deli/pizza parlor. There is some seating for dine-in but I choose to carry-out. Overall it was clean and parking was easy. Honestly, I would have given a higher rating but there were a couple issues with redeeming my Groupon. 1. I had tried a couple weeks ago to redeem my Groupon but they didn’t have chicken wings. The staff suggested coming back in a couple hours b/c the order was supposed to arrive. Good thing I called ahead b/c the order never arraved. They were kind enough to try to substitute but my husband didn’t want just fries and onion rings. 2. Also when I finally redeemed my Groupon I didn’t get the fries that were supposed to come with the wings. It’s not a big deal I just hate feeling like I didn’t get what I was promised in my Groupon. Lame!

On my way to Madison, I stopped by Sicilia to pick up lunch and get a break from the hours of gridlock I was enduring. I found them by their Unilocal rating, as is my normal course of action when searching for food in new surroundings. I got the spinach and ricotta pizza, which unfortunately wasn’t that great(too bready), and picked up some cannoli as a present for a friend. They claim to have the best cannoli in Chicago, though I’m not sure of their source for this or whether the rest of Chicago’s cannoli are just that lackluster. The cannolis were better than the pizza, but still left me craving some as good as the ones I ate in Rome. Businesses shouldn’t set high expectations unless they intend to meet them… $ 10 credit card minimum.

Their pizza bread and cannolis were totally worth the hype! The sauce had so much flavor and the bread had a soft pleasant texture while the cannolis were really creamy and tasty! Service was kinda iffy as I had to wait 30 minutes for my calzone when they said that would take 15 minutes and never got an apology. It was very big, about 14 in. by 8 in. It was made with very little sauce, cheese, sausage topping, and the dough was very thin. I’d love to give this place 5 stars, especially from the pizza bread. I swear that stuff is like crack! Credit cards are accepted over $ 10.
