Small Bar

This place has had a positive impact on my life in the following ways:
–Chopped pork, bacon, jalapenos, giardiniera, delicious bun.
–Tempura battered cheese curds, some kind of Sriracha laced dipping sauce.
–Brussell sprouts, bacon.
–A book of beers.

Everything was just ok. Our waitress seemed attentive at the beginning, but we slowly lost her as the meal went on. They have a great beer selection which is a plus, and their menu seems great (seems being the key word), but the execution just wasn’t there. Had their chili, which was more like a stew, and the chicken sandwich which was kind of hard to chew.
On a high note, our table shared their cheese curds for an appetizer which were pretty outstanding. We also had their fries that come with bacon gravy and were REALLY salty, but I guess that’s to be expected. One member of our party received her food 10 minutes before everyone else which is a pet peeve of mine. Nothing is more awkward than telling someone they can eat while everyone is starting at their food. Decent meal, not worth the $ 30 I paid, there are plenty of other places that I’d rather try before going back.

Good salad, great beer list, mediocre chili and the service? Still virtually non existent.
We could see the food sitting out ready to be served, even mentioned it to the bartender and still it sat. Really?

With a killer tap selection and now a great new menu, there’s a lot to like about Small Bar Fullerton. They have a great staff and overall have good prices on the beers; they haven’t bought into that «every beer needs to be $ 9 mentality.» If you’re paying for a great craft beer why should your only option be a burger or nachos when you’re at a bar. Small Bar is hitting that perfect price point for a solid night out; right in line with what we see Fountainhead doing.
I’ve been in a few times since they switched to the new menu and everything I’ve had has been pretty tasty. A few of my favorites were the Tomato Jam & Cheese, White Fish Sandwich, and the Patty melt. I do miss their tater tots from the old menu but the wedges are a pretty good substitute.
I’ve had some really great nights at Small Bar Fullerton. I’d agree with Sarah H., «Small Bar is doing it up right.»

Came here for the CSSC’s opening party, so I may be swayed by the free drinks or that fact that we lucked out and got one of the huge booths !
The food was really good, I had the chicken taco salad which was really good, could have done with more romaine lettuce and less giant white chunks of regular lettuce, but still good. My friend had the buffalo wings, the looked really good, very meaty, she said they were pretty spicy but in a good way. We also had a burger and sweet potato fries at our table, the fries were seasoned well and the burger was gone in about 1 minutes so I’m gonna say it was good too !
Good service, cool all wood bar and overhead lanterns that look like they are from an old church, good food, a little loud for my liking but thats pretty much everywhere in this city !! I can’t wait to go back !!
