WHo is this Graham O character that gives Snarfs 1 star !? Odds are hes just a hungover irritable Depaul student that prefers a cheese quesadilla with zero flavor over a quality sandwich. $ 10 bucks say this kids favorite actor is Will Smith, #BoomRoasted. Snarfs is the best sandwich shop to hit the Depaul/Lincoln Park area in the last 2 – 3 years. I might be biased cause i frequent there a lot, but think its really good. I have never had a problem with anyone that works there or the length of time it took and they are always friendly. I love how this child compares cost of a sandwich between Snarfs with about 20 locations in the US and a sub par sandwich chain, subway, that has over 25000 locations in the US. Guarantee this kid, like most negative reviews on Unilocal are trying to get something out of it… Keep it up Snarfs, see ya soon.

Good not the best. It taste is comparable to Potbelly’s. Which is a good thing. But dont remember it being expensive. I would go again if in the area.

First time I came here, just to use the restroom but then wanted to just get a quick bite and some water. I ordered a bottle of water and saw some cookies so i got one. But the girl at the counter was like — you can just take more since I am going to throw them out. So ended up taking 2 for 1 and sat down. There is a lot of space around this place. And it was pretty clean. The staff were friendly as well.

Chicken salad sandwich on wheat with all of the condiments and a soft drink for a diet coke. It’s delicious, the cheese is melty, the bread is perfectly toasted, the giardinera(shoutout to whomever spells that correctly) wasn’t overwhelming, the place is clean, but seems to always be pretty empty. Nonetheless, this is my favorite fast-food sandwich shop for my money. The chicken salad is from pulled rotisserie chicken rather than questionable chicken chunks. The chicken salad mix is very simple, light, and flavorful– mayo, salt/pepper, and some herbs. If I were a chicken, this is how I would pray to be eaten. There needs to be more Snarf’s in Chicago. Having frequented the one in the 600 West Chicago office building when I worked there, I can say that this place would become a lunchtime favorite.

Good place to grab a quick sandwich at a low cost. Not many other options in the area.

I came in to grab a quick sandwich Togo. They were incredibly unorganized. I waited over 20 minutes to get my sandwich and other people were complaining about getting the wrong sandwich. The sandwiches are good, but the customer services was extremely disappointing.

The food is good but the time it takes to make a sandwich is way longer than any sub place. I decided to order pickup today to avoid waiting the 10+ minutes post order since I was watching a game and didn’t want to miss too much time. I got there right at the pick up time(15 mins after I ordered online) and it wasn’t even started. They seemed to have filled 5 or more orders before even starting it or acknowledging that it will be ready soon so I was confused the whole time wondering if they even had my order. I even tipped online which, side note is ridiculous to even ask on a pickup order and then to still make me wait 15 minutes. Also, my order was not correct. Not happy with snarfs at all:/ Their system seemed extremely disorganized today and I will likely choose potbelly or jimmy johns next time when I’m in a hurry. Way faster and less expensive.

Awesome subs! Try the steak sub! Really nice and tender steak bits. Really good vibes and on Fridays they have riddles for a chance to win a cookie.

Sad. They really don’t t like customers! Cannot comment on the food… walked out after being treated like a crook. We got coupons in the mail. BOGO for sandwiches and fountain drinks. Tried to buy 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks and was told the coupons were not valid together. It doesn’t say that on the coupon. A manager came over and said«you are just one if those people who wants FREEFOOD». Nope just wanted to use a coupon Snarf’s sent me! Congratulations! Snarf’s saved 2 cents worth of soda water. I think about the rudeness every time I walk by on my way to Potbelly’s to get a sandwich and treated like a customer.

I first had Snarf’s in St Louis during a Mardi Gras bachelorette weekend and kept dreaming of it(seriously!) after the weekend ended and we came back to Chicago. When I saw this location opening I was pumped to see if the sandwich was really as good as I remembered, after a somewhat cloudy recollection the weekend’s events. It totally was. No, better. Because Chicago is better than STL. Duh! Anywho, awesome sandwiches. I love that there’s different sizes and other menu items too(soup, etc) and the workers are super friendly. They saw me trying to get a stroller up the few steps to enter and came to help, then once inside told me about the ramp in the back for future use. Thanks for the heads up :) Being right by Oz Park is great to grab a sandwich and go have a picnic — oh and they have a large bathroom that fits said stroller too. Bonus points for being kid friendly, Snarf’s! Only downfall… it’s a tad pricey but worth it for the quality IMO!

Decent sandwich place. I’ve heard a lot of hype around Snarf’s from random people(co-workers, friends, etc.) and I finally got to try it out. I got the tuna sandwich and I got a side of cole slaw. It was good, but I don’t really understand why people were claiming it was«so good». It felt like a regular sandwich place to me and there are other delis that provide better quality for cheaper prices. Don’t get me wrong; it wasn’t a bad sandwich, but I didn’t love it either. It was a regular sandwich, plain and simple. I’d come back if I were in the area and wanted a sandwich, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back here.

I’ve been to Snarf’s twice since this location opened, and I’ve had pleasant experiences with the staff both times. Their soup is amazing, especially the chicken noodle – lots of chicken and vegetables. My only complaint would be that their meat to vegetable ratio is a little off. My most recent sandwich mostly tasted of lettuce.

Snarfs Rocks! They opened about 5 – 6 weeks ago and we have been there about 4 times. You are not going to Snarfs because you want the cheapest sandwich that money can buy. But these specialty sandwiches are SO worth the $ 1-$ 3 extra that you will spend for a sandwich at Jimmy Johns or Potbelly. They are bigger, tastier and better designed to include interesting ingredients. And in many cases, they serve less expensive options like the simple hot dog, about $ 4.50, which is sliced lengthwise, grilled, and set in a slice of toasted French bread. They are amazing, and that’s just their hot dogs. I have not been to Snarfs enough to decide which of the various sandwiches is my favorite, but I can assure you that I’ll keep working on it.

Seems like either people really love or hate this place. Love hate relationship eh? Well came here to grab a couple sandwiches and the people working were extremely nice and recommended some great stuff! Got the prime rib provolone and rotisserie chicken and Swiss… For a sandwich shop it was great! Wasn’t super dry, all the meats cooked just right. Told them we were not going to eat the sandwiches all that night so they gave us all the toppings and most sauces on the side! Obviously had leftovers so pop it in the microwave the next day and bam. Even better than before! You gotta stop in for a sandwich if your hungry and around the neighborhood. Can’t wit to try one of their salads! Yum!

My son loves the sandwiches here and he is a picky eater. He would have a sandwich there every single day if I would let him. I had an Italian sandwich and it was pretty tasty. I like the sandwiches here way better than any subway or Jimmy Johns. The bread is fresh and so is the meat. Their customer service is pretty good. If you’re looking for a sandwich place because you’re tired of subway and Jimmy Johns this is definitely the place to give a try. I’m glad there are other alternatives like Snafs.

Just went this weekend and it was super yummy! I got the brisket sandwich and it kept me full all day. Reasonably priced subs at a much higher quality than you’ll find at your regular sub chains.

Snarf’s, Snarf’s, Snarf’s; you’re not bad, and you blow similar establishments like Potbelly’s(GROSS!) out of the water, but you’re still not the sub shop I dream of. You have some creative and tasty options, like the thing you do with wieners, cheese, and bacon(OHMY!), but the bread still doesn’t taste incredibly chewy and fresh, even if it’s bearable, and some of the ingredients just don’t knock me on my feet. All in all, you’re, «A-OK» at 3 stars, and I think we’re both okay with that.

Went here for their soft opening. My buddy Cary who lives nearby had a coupon for 2 free sandwiches during this“training event”, however you cannot change the quality of meat they will be serving. He ordered the Pastrami, i had the BBQ Brisket. Cary described the Pastrami as a Carl Buddings individually packaged meat, that you would find at the dollar store. We both agreed that Bullshead meat or any other deli style pastrami would be better than what they consider pastrami. For a meat eating sandwich craver, seeing pastrami on the menu is an exciting thing. One might verbalize, «Oh, look at that! they have Pastrami! i know what i’m getting.» The Brisket was pretty good, however i would not pay $ 8 for either sandwich. Even if you were to pay $ 1 for every condiment on the sandwich, it would come out to be $ 4. bread, sauce, cheese, meat. we were disappointed. the best thing about our meal was the Tea. REALLY good tea, though i would expect that from a Colorado based fast food joint. Unfortunately having fresh brewed tea is not good enough to get me through the door. the deli counter at the grocery store across the street makes a better sandwich for $ 3 dollars less.
