ANYONE reading this review, do NOT eat here. Unless you like slow service, over priced and sarcastic service. They do not clean their milkshake area. I feel sorry for people who suffer from any peanut allergy. On a hot day I asked two scoops of ice cream. I could tell they don’t switch out their tubs of ice cream. It tasted like plastic. I kindly asked for a refund and somehow got double charged. My second time giving them a try, I saw employees who clock out for their break to make their sandwich/soup/salad and take their gloves off and make their own food with their own bare hands not caring what customer is watching. My sandwich came out dry and over toasted with almost the opposite toppings I requested. On my third time, because you know, third time is a charm. I tried their most simplest soup, chicken noodle. Paid for a bowl of soup to get a more noodle than soup in a cup. Tried to prove my purchase through a receipt but the cashier never gave the option to keep it. So I had to step aside during my lunch break to look on my Chase bank app on my smart phone to prove I purchased a bowl. Again, I can tell they don’t rotate their oldest to newest soups. Their chicken noodle soup had a lemon sour dish washer after taste. My good buddy and co-worker Rich Wyatt of CBS radio talked me into buying their breakfast catering for our station. So this is my fourth time I guess? By the way, the station is in the same building as this Barf’s but only 30 floors up. Things that were wrong: 9AM delivery that was made and paid one week in advance to have it arrive at 9:45am, undercooked bacon, half of a sausage patty, no egg-white sandwiches as requested and a side of grill grease with egg chunks? Sorry for the long review but until I get an apology or some promise of good service from Jimmy, Doug, Jill or that pervert manager making women uncomfortable, I will keep telling people to not eat there. You can’t treat people of my kind this way.

Ugggghhhhhhhh. I’m even too bored of this place to do a review, but jesus, this place is awful! I work for a start up in the building and on the days when it is pouring rain and I don’t bring my lunch, this was my only option. I tried it twice to get a fair perspective, and it’s just awful. The people that work there are just bored kids, they are SLOWAF! Both times it took almost half of my lunch hour to get my friggin sandwich, both times the sandwich bread was burned, the guy«running» the sandwich making area had to ask me what I ordered, because the order clearly did not make it from the register(3ft away) to the sandwich preparation station and the toppings were wrong. Just don’t do it. Turn around, you’re better off eating your cash instead of spending it here.

Like other people have said: this place is sloooooow af. My first time here, ordered, and 20 minutes later my sandwich was ready. And they weren’t even that busy! I’ve never seen people making sandwiches so slowly, it was kind of amazing. They were not stressed or moving quickly or worried about the people waiting for food at all. The sandwich itself is alright. Really really similar to Potbelly’s. This place would be infinitely better if they were faster(or even just tried to look like they were faster).

If you like glacially slow service, and a lunch place that is out of half of the sandwiches on their menu, this place is for you! Seriously, who has 20 minutes to kill, waiting for a sandwich? The only thing keeping them in business is the people who work in the Prudential and Aon buildings, too busy to venture out of the building. Avoid the Snarf’s trap.

I wish the sandwiches weren’t soo good because the service is horrible. 15 – 20 min wait AFTER you order. If you call in and you arrive before your sandwich is made, no system tells anyone you’re waiting. This location needs a manager.

Order on-line. That is the way to beat the crowd. Sandwich is ready in 10 mins. Hearty sandwiches. Soups and salad very good.

Been here at least three times. Why you ask, more out of convenience. Ratio of bun to meat is critical for subs and sandwiches in my opinion. Here, too much bun, not enough meat. Plus, have had much better sub rolls than here. Prices are on the higher side. I’ll take potbelly’s every time.

The sandwiches are decent but save your TIME and MONEY. Go to an establishment that doesn’t have unnecessarily long lines, overpriced menu options and a staff that is capable of getting ONE order correct. Online ordering almost never works and if magically it does, guarantee the staff will get your order wrong… Oh no wait, that’ll happen no matter what. The ONLY reason I’ve gone back(which I now never will) is because I am gluten & dairy free(not by choice, mind you). They have decent GF bread. Today I explicitly ordered a «gluten free sub, with no cheese because it needs to be dairy free». After paying $ 15 for just a sandwich and waiting in-line for THIRTY-FIVEMINUTES, I found the sub to be smothered in melted cheese(this after I had already returned to my office with no time to go back). Overall, Snarf’s is a consistently terrible experience.

Placed my order in line at 11:40am. Didn’t get my sandwich till 12:05pm. Never again. Sandwich was drenched in oil and mayo. Messy as hell.

The app is absolute garbage. The points system is trash, in what scenario would you have to buy 15 sandwiches to get one half off. Additionally, the pictures have no subtitles and therefore no purpose at all other than to say, «Look at this sandwich, don’t you wish you knew what is was?» The orders are never made in a timely fashion due to the lethargic nature of every single employee at Snarf’s. More often than not, I have placed an order via the app making additions to the sandwich, only to find out that I have not received what I ordered and was upcharged for. It truly is a shame that a place that my coworkers and I used to rely on for lunch has now become the bane of the 12 oclock hour. Summary: decent sandwich, but no where near worth the trouble

I work in the building and ran down to Snarf’s to get something quick. The joke was on me as Snarf’s does not do quick. Snarf’s sole gear is slow motion. I was the only person in line and yet it took 5 minutes just to place my order for a single sandwich. Total transaction time was about 15 minutes, most of which involved the employees talking about my sandwich instead of simply making it. I spent most of that time wondering if Snarf’s shares a hiring pool with the Post Office. In the time it took them to make one sandwich, I could have made and cooked a pizza and opened a bottle of wine. Waiting is fine if you’re getting something good but, at best, Snarf’s is replacement level food with higher than average prices. There are tons of places that make mediocre food fast for less money. I have to imagine that much of Snarf’s business is driven by being just one of two sandwich places in the building. Certainly nobody would come here for service or quality.

Great sandwiches, terrible service at this location. I’ve experienced ordering food on a croissant and paying, then after they already made it being informed that they just used a bagel instead since they were out of croissants. Why not just tell me when I order, or before you make the sandwich? Also the workers don’t always listen to the orders, so check your sandwich before you leave! That being said the sandwiches here are delicious, and worth a try.

Basic breakfast sandwiches at cheap prices. We got the ham egg cheese and the spinach mushroom egg cheese sandwiches for $ 4.50 each. Good sizes that satiated my hunger. The egg was warmed but the ham was not, would have been better if everything was warmed up. Solid sandwich otherwise and I would eat there again if convenient.

Not very impressed. Egg and bacon sandwich was bland to be over $ 4.

great staff but horrible system… not once have i walked out of here in less than 30 mins(for CARRYOUT). and not once has my sandwich been perfect… why oh why do you insist on putting lettuce on my sandwich, snarf’s? i don’t like it… it falls and gets in the way of the cheesy avocado goodness. i only go here when i need to walk away from my building for a break… probably because potbelly’s is much more accessible and delivers at lightening speed in comparison.

I’ve been here twice now and both times I ordered the 7″ French drip sandwich(once on white, once on wheat) with hot peppers and onions. Both times were tasty. The recommendation came from the cashier so I have to give him kudos for that. I asked what sandwich he preferred and how he ordered it. Done and done. And the 7″ sandwich seemed quite large so there’s no need to order up in my opinion.

Been to Snarf’s a couple of times now. The first time was so long ago, I barely remember. It was good. This time I got the Eggplant Parm sandwich, which was nice. Would’ve like more of the crispy eggplant breading, but I know it’s hard to maintain that with the sauce and all — it gets soggy. The sauce was good, though. Next time I’ll try the veggie one again — I think it was good :)

Like Potbelly if they took too long to make your sandwich and used too much mayo. Once they gave me a free cookie though so I’m a fan for life now.

I go here a lot because it’s in my work building, not sure if I’d ever go out of the way to eat here otherwise. It’s pretty similar to Potbelly’s but a little more expensive. The ingredients are high quality, especially the chicken in the sandwiches. Great place for a quick sandwich if you’re in the area. They also have random trivia questions daily, and if you get it correct, you get a free cookie.

So I discovered this place today while walking around the Pedway. Let me start off this review by saying I hate Potbelly. Where is the Chicago lynch mob for me saying this? Anyway being from the east coast I hate toasted sandwiches that also lack meat and flavor. Snarf’s to me seems like a Potbelly knock off that tries to do things bigger and better but to me just maybe gets it right. Had the Italian and 1st impression is when handed the sandwich was that this thing is loaded with meat. Well it was but it wasn’t. There was a good amount of meat, but with the standard toppings, just weighed it down, much like the disappointing Potbelly sandwiches. The meat combo was very good, but all the juices from the pickles, peppers, tomatoes, and combined with May-o, just made a mess. My fault for ordering with everything. But with that said, head to head Snarf’s beat Potbelly just because of the amount of meet stuffed in the sandwich, but its the same old toasted bread, let’s stack it with topics to add flavor. As my director said, poor people toasted their bread back in the day when it went stale. Snarf’s does have a great variety on their menu and I will go back and try their breakfast since they have plenty of options, but for an Italian sandwich/hoagie(That’s what we call them back east) I’ll take Jimmy Johns’ and Halsted Deli before either Snarf’s or Potbelly
