Stopped in for a breakfast sammy and coffee. The female manager was great! She went above and beyond for us! As did a very handsome young fella who took a picture with me! Ps my sis is super jelly! Thanks again for the experience. I promise to get a mocha From you and not sb next time!

Great food and the prices aren’t that bad. We had the tomato Feta, chicken fajita wrap, ham and cheese wrap, mocha coffee, green tea, chocolate chip cookie and everything was really good. Customer service was great as well.

Tasty, albeit small portions. But this chain has morals, and donates any extra food to shelters at the end of the day. This specific location is supposed to be open until 7PM, but my experience it that the kitchen closes earlier and they finishes cleaning at 7PM(so mainly serves the work lunch crowd). BBQ Pulled Pork Hot wrap is tasty. The Southwestern BBQ Chicken baguette is better than the Buffalo Chicken wrap(unless you really like buffalo). The Kale chicken caesar salad needs a bit more dressing to have a full flavor, but it’s quite healthy. Chicken noodle soup is simplistic, but hits the spot if you have a craving.

This is absolutely one of my all time favorite places to eat. I was traveling to Chicago for awhile for work and would eat here almost every day. The food is always fresh, delicious and unique. It particularly«rocks» if you have special dietary needs such as being a vegan, vegetarian or allergic to gluten.

AMAZING food, and even better customer service! Had the pleasure of being served by Mike a couple times. SO friendly, and genuinely wanted me to enjoy my cilantro wrap!

Wow, could their soups have any more sodium? Just returned from lunch and am gulping water by the gallon. If I die from hypertension, let the record reflect that Pret A Manger killed me.

At this particular location, there is a particular worker, whose positive emotional energy is so eminent, she seems to spray happiness on everyone around her. I ate my lunch today, and I watched this happen for a solid 20 minutes. The experience restored and renewed my faith in humanity: just to know people like this exist. It made me feel so lucky to be alive, I told her manager, I told her, and now I’m telling you, lucky reader. Kwanseum Bosal. Mind blowing.

I had spent the day in the museums and walking around town just soaking in the city and I realized I had not eaten breakfast and it was after two and I had not had lunch either. My blood sugar was crashing and I needed food fast. I looked around and saw a Pret A Manger, and went inside to find a snack. I had an almond croissant, and an orange juice. The juice was cold and sweet and the croissant was amazing. Crusty and warm, and the almost flavor burst in to your taste buds as soon as you bit in to it. My snack cost me only $ 4.95 and was enough to get me by til an early supper.

Nice place to have on Michigan avenue for convenience. Compared to other stores the visual appeal is not as great: at least when I went, it is relatively small, and there were just a smattering of items on a wall to your left when you walk in, the food counter, and some seating space. However still the same quality of grab and go: convenience for the location!

The Merchandise Mart overall has come a long way from just having a food court to having an entire mecca of restaurants and service options to choose from. I didn’t realize, until now, that Pret has joined in on the fun. I’ve only been to the Evanston location in the past and didn’t really love my experience. This location was much better in the fact that it was well lit, superbly clean, cozy, and the customer service experience was fantastic. From the encounter at the check out to the guy who came around and cleaned off our table while we were chatting and finished dining, that made it worth the 4-star rating. Still, when it comes to the food, I just don’t love it… I just don’t get the hype. My sandwich was seriously ho-hum nothing special. Maybe I’m just not a fan of prepared food to-go. Maybe I’ve just had better prepared food elsewhere. I just don’t think Pret is for me. Loved the vibe. Plenty of seating. Low noise. Great customer service. That’s all folks!

Food is freshly made. And anything that hasn’t been sold is donated to a food depository at the end if the day! :)

Convenient take out place for soups and sandwiches. The soups are way too salty for my taste.

BFF& I were walking around trying to find a nibble for lunch when Pret A Manger comes into view I LOVE Pret in London & was stoked to see it in Chicago… let’s just say hopping the Pond has not shown consistency Firstly, the serious lack of veggie sandwich choices is shocking. The day we were there, there was *only* egg salad And secondly… no cheese & pickle!!! :-(This is a UK staple & why I come to Pret It would have been ideal for the US Pret to bring a little«English» & allow those of us to wax nostalgic over our lovely London memories Instead, this is a meaty-prepackaged sandwich paradise — if you like Chicken sandwiches of all varieties, this will be the place for you

AMAZING! Great food and great customer service! Some say that their prices are a high, but I disagree. If you want cheap«food» then just keep going to Subway where the food has no expiration date. Yuck.

It is with such a heavy heart that I frequent the Americanized version of my old sarnie standby in London. When I heard Pret was coming to Chicago, I was hopeful that they’d keep the English menu(I’m seriously nostalgic, what can I say?) I just want a Mature Cheddar & Pret Pickle or a Wild Crayfish & Rocket, even a Cracking Egg Salad. Indulge me, Pret! Instead, it’s fairly boring sandwich fare. Not terrible, mind you, just not the same…(insert sadness here.) But, I’m a fan of the salads. My new fave is the chicken avocado and I like that they have a «skinny vinaigrette» that is very lemon/mustard-y. It is what it is.

This east coaster likes seeing a little reminder of home in Chicago. I’ve been coming here a lot more lately because of a much needed change of pace and the increased prices at Market Creations. Everything I’ve had here so far is good. It’s nothing that will blow you away but it’s more than adequate. I’ve gone during the lunch rush peak but there are several people working at check-out so the wait has never been too long. I don’t like that the products are not labeled though, you have to look at the sign to choose what you want. But if you were to pick up lunch for others it may be hard to distinguish what is what. Also, you can get a roll with your order at no extra charge but you have to ask for it.

Finally came here because the convenient location and well, they’re popping up EVERYWHERE. My friends have had the original in England and say that they aren’t impressed. But, I had to try it out anyways. After all, I’m nosy, too curious, and well, I wanted to just see for myself. I came here looking for breakfast since I missed the free sandwich they gave away on opening day. In a mood for egg, I tried the egg and roasted tomato baguette. Interesting… They gots some baked goods, they’re own café, and some salads. All pre-made so pick up and go! I dunno, think I gotta try some other ones before I’m convinced.

The pret has finally opened! The day of the grand opening they were giving away free sandwiches and goodie bags! I got to taste some of their organic popcorn and orange pop. Very good! I’ve tried 3 different sandwiches here so far: — Spicy shrimp wrap — vietnamese baguette — mozzerella and artichoke hot wrap All so good! freshly made. I want to come back and try all of their sandwiches. The sandwich/food area is pretty close to the register so it gets alittle crowded and choatic. I’ve always taken a late lunch but I’m sure lines are crazy long.

eh, not too impressed. Went for lunch today and got a Chicken Mozz sandwich and a bag of chips for under $ 10 bucks and I am still hungry. The Balsamic Dressing they used was outstanding, but the sandwich just needed more to it. maybe some Tomatoe or Lettuce. Nice place though and big, better the Ponte Fresco. Just not a fan of the layout. Besides moving between customers to grab sandwiches, you also have to move around the employees restocking the shelves. You would think they would have the system set up so the employees could restock the shelves from behind, since they did construct the store completely different the Ponte Fresco. I’ll give it another try, but with some many other options in the pedway here, we will see if this place lasts

Finally the brand new Pret A Manger is open in the old Ponte Fresco space! I was sad for that to go, but excited for this to open! Talk about patronizing a new business — I had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Pret today — on its first day of opening! They have a wide selection of sandwiches(wider than PF), a lot of seating in the back, spacious layout, enough counters for quick check-out, good morning menu for coffee/tea/hot chocolate and bakery items too. Very friendly and sharp staff and an energetic smiling manager greeting people. I like the fact they have nutrition information listed. One quick small feedback — the cup sleeves aren’t great quality because my hands were still burning from holding my chai latte; the chai was good — not too sweet. For lunch, I had half a pesto mozzarella sandwich and half a grilled cheese sandwich. Both were interesting and not bad. My favorite though was my dinner item — it was an artichoke mozzarella wrap, which I greatly enjoyed! Plenty of vegetarian options, including 3 different vegetarian soups. I also appreciate this food option being open until 7pm(they also open early in the morning at 7am).
