I honestly can’t believe service is worse at any other location. Saving grace: the staff is friendly.

I am pretty content as a Starbucks frequenter, but my review is for this particular location. The service here is horrendous. In the summer I only order black unsweetened iced tea. Easy — Peasy. Recently it’s always been interesting to see what will be delivered with this order. An iced coffee? Sure. A hot black tea on an 90 degree day? Why not? The best part is the holier than though attitude I don’t recall ordering. The ridiculous mantra of «I’m a barista and I’m going to gossip about you in front of your face because you are making me correct your order» stance is yawnable especially if you don’t have your preferred caffeine fix. Advice: Don’t act like it’s MY fault you are constantly confusing orders and more importantly don’t patronize me. Get it together! You are in the service industry and should treat customers with respect at the very least!

When in Chicago, I usually stay around River North so this is my go to spot for coffee. A big fan of architecture, I do enjoy the space that this Starbucks resides in. Service is usually pretty friendly.

I can’t believe that they serve wine and beer at Starbucks’s in Chicago, being from Texas this feels like a mirage!

Late night piano and jazz music, chill crowd in an otherwise tourist filled neighborhood, and a café in my hand… Doesn’t get much better. Always a friendly staff at this Starbucks, it’s got my recommendation.

I’m pretty sure the barista that was working on the night I visited was named Mr. PushyPants. I was meeting a couple people for a show at Baton Lounge and needed a quick caffeine fix. As soon as I walk in he yells«we’re closing in less than 30 minutes!!!» Ok well obviously I was dressed for a night out, not just to hang out at Starbucks. And last time I checked, most able bodied people can finish a cup of coffee or tea in less than 10 minutes. Or perhaps I was getting my drink to go. I mean seriously, Mr. PushyPants, I walked in, didn’t make a move to take my coat off, I was barely halfway through the door. Frankie says relax, dude. No more coffee for you. Also they had a sign up for a Tiramisu Latte, but we were informed they just had the sign out but not the drink. Alrighty.

This Starbucks is the best in the United States. They are fast know how to make complicated drinks and dont think they are too cool for school.

morons!.. the staff here pays no attention and literally hears what they want to hear regarding orders. 3 tall coffees, two of them with soy milk became three grande red –eyes with a shot of hazelnet. it’s like that SNL skit where Marcia becomes Amorfa… shar shar. only i’d rather be the butt of an SNL skit than be served sub-par coffee by these muppets. the guy then uses my debit card to scratch his forehead. so i’m going to have to spray it with purel to get his forehead lard off my coffee. i wish this place would burn down and get replaced by an intelligentsia.

I had forgotten how much I hate this Starbucks. Choose another. Repeated my drink order five times. Five times. Ridic. And the bathroom? Filthy. No soap. No dryer or paper towels.

This Starbucks is conveniently located near Firecakes on Hubbard, so one can pick up a doughnut and then a drip coffee from Starbucks. Firecakes has drip coffee, but no seating area. I came to Starbucks on a Saturday evening and found the café was empty. I was surprised because of the prime location, but this means I was able to get a table near the window and could people-watch while enjoying a drink.

2 visits. 2 rude, completely arrogant experiences. They couldn’t have cared less about even trying to be nice or welcoming… and it wasn’t remotely busy either time. I’ll find a new coffee place… maybe the Starbucks on the next block that is actually welcoming and friendly.

Venti iced tea light ice no water. After 9 minutes and her making it wrong twice she ran out of tea and it would be another 6 minutes. I just walked out.

Starbucks is Starbucks. Nothing extraordinarily different about this one. It was clean, staff didn’t mess up my order.

So, this review isn’t for starbucks in general — it’s for this specific one. I come here with coworkers pretty often when it’s nice out for a post midday caffeine fix. It’s frustrating whenever we go here because they NEVER take names and you don’t know when your drink is ready as there is always a line and there’s always 10 people waiting for their drinks. Drinks are never bad but you always grab the wrong one. There are definitely better coffee shops in the area.

Been to this location 2 – 3 times and it will soon be my local Starbucks once I move. I like that the baristas are fast to take orders and also quick with delivering drinks. No major negatives to report. Always a lot of foot traffic when ever I have stopped by.

It’s been over two years since my last review, hence, since the barista showed me the hand. Since then, I’ve still come to this Starbucks, ahem, ‘my Starbucks’, almost on a weekly basis, and I have a newfound respect for said barista. As I mentioned before, this location is busier than Best Buy on Black Friday. There are zillions of offices within a two block radius and magically we all seem to start work at the same time. Which means this place gets stupid crowded started around 7:30am and doesn’t stop until well after 10am. The good samaritan in me needs to show a little compassion for the frazzled barista, and so I am. Especially when ding dongs like my coworker come in with me and order a double drip, three shot, little ice, caramel drizzled, sugar free, half and half on top venti-sized nonsense. I would get irritated, too. I get annoyed just listening to him take more than 20 seconds to order. The moral to this story– everyone has a bad day, and yeah it sucks if you’re on the receiving end of it, but just deal with it if it’s at your go-to spot.

New menu item! Orange Spiced Iced Coffee. Yeah, I know it sounds pretty weird… which meant I had to try it. Basic shaken iced coffee lightly sweetened(or not) with slices of orange and a big dash of what tasted like nutmeg on top. It was interesting, in a good way. This location has a decent number of tables inside and a great outdoor sidewalk patio. It was mid-day rather than morning rush but I was still in and out at a record breaking Starbucks speed… like 90 seconds.

I think everyone on the planet has already been to a Starbucks(and most people have their drink orders down to a science), so this post is really just a shout out for their speed and service. I haven’t been to a Starbucks that works faster and harder than this one. Everything keeps running smoothly even during the busiest of times. The pick up counter can get a little chaotic because of how small the area around it is, but if you push through the crowd there’s usually some room in the back, at the part of the counter closer to the bathrooms. Also, a couple people have complained about the attitudes of the employees. From what I’ve seen is that all the cashiers are über-nice, but the order takers and makers are pretty rushed and don’t pay much attention to you. For how good the service is, I don’t have a problem. So if you need a quick cup of joe, this is your place.
