I really like this Starbucks! I have fond memories of studying for the GRE at this location and am glad to say that it has only improved since those days. They completely remodeled and upgraded the interior a few months back. The location has a ton of seating and outlets for computer people. The baristas are also pretty neat. I haven’t had a bad experience or a mixed up order and I’ve been here more times that I’m willing to admit to and at times ordered one drink too many. There is one annoying thing that I will admit to but I can’t blame the actual employees or business for it– at times it is packed with strollers. And I mean packed! I have nothing against children and I have nothing against moms meeting up for coffee with their kids in tow, it sounds like a fun friend get together no different from when I come to hang out with my friends at a coffee shop, but there’s a way of doing just that without making it impossible for people to walk around you so they can leave.

This is one of our favorite Starbucks, it’s my main go to one. Great staff, good coffee and quick service even when they’re busy

Love love love this location. It’s spacious as hell and is generally a laptop campers dream. Hands down the biggest Starbucks I myself have been in. The Baristas are mad friendly, sociable, and down to earth. I had a great chat with one who turned out to be a ballet dancer from my hometown of LA! Also, the drinks were perfect. I will say that I didn’t see that many outlets, though, but maybe I wasn’t looking hard enough. Anyway love this place and will definitely be back.

I got a latte at this location that had nearly an inch of room at the top. Starbucks no longer batch steams milk so there’s no reason for this to happen on a standard latte. It was just laziness on the baristas part. It seems clean at this location otherwise and the remodel looks nice but if I’m paying 5.00 for a drink… I want the cup to mostly full.

This place keeps blasting the AC really high for either more sales from their current customers to get a hot drink to keep warm, or they want you to eat/drink and leave ASAP. I asked them to turn the AC down and they tell me they have no control over the AC. Bullsh*t. I checked online from other Starbucks employees to know thats not the case. I buy more than just a cup a coffee, I buy my lunch here and sometimes an evening snack. I get you don’t want laptop squatters. But you should appreciate those that actually are good paying customers. You aren’t exactly a small company to be cutting corners for not earning enough from your customers.

Another reviewer commented on the same gripe I have with this store. It doesn’t matter if the temperature outside is 65 degrees and cloudy. If the calander says August, the air conditioner must run full blast. This store is often like a walk in cooler.

I work in this neighborhood somewhat frequently and stop in once every few weeks or so. I know that it is a busy location, which means that the environment needs to be maintained extra well and it is not. The tables often need wiped, and the bathrooms often need cleaned. The last three(yes three) times that I was there, there was no toilet paper in the ladies room. One time is acceptable, three times is not. If I’m paying $ 3.75 for a medium peach green tea lemonade, then what I’m paying for is a nice cool atmosphere on a hot summer day in a nice environment– please maintain the environment! Thank you!

This place had the worst service where the barista seemed like he hated his job and I waited 15 minutes for my drink and no one cared and both my frappé were so watered down.

I still love this Starbucks and will keep coming back but I need to say that the recent remodel took away all the coziness that this location had. That’s just too bad.

Great Starbucks. Friendly people, light roast available and enough seating for those of us without laptops. I also like how this location is more spread out than other locations. Right now, stroller mommies are running 2 – 1 against other customers, and there are three big-ass SUVs parked outside. This is Lincoln Square, after all.

This is a well managed location. All of the counter workers are very helpful, nice and efficient. I was here on Saturday at 10am and they moved the huge line along efficiently. Nicely remodeled location too. Thanks for having clean bathrooms… Oh, free Google wifi and not AT&T! Woo-hoo!

UPDATE: While I am a regular at the Starbucks on Montrose in Ravenswood I have occasionally ended up here and have previously enjoyed my stay except for the terrible, and I mean terrible, internet access needed for work. However, they have reconfigured the space and updated their wifi(switching over to Google, which is always a strong move) and it is working great. Its a nice space in a great location and open later than many others nearby. This bumps my rating from a 2 to 4 stars easily and if the service is consistent over time I will happily add the final glowing star. Nice work! Old post: I will start by saying that I have never had bad service here, I have had friendlier service at other starbucks in the area but the people working here are A-OK in my book. The main issue here is that when I need to go to starbucks it serves as my office for a couple of hours and this place has the internet bandwith that could powerfully handle all of your 1997 needs. Its incredibly slow and the single bathroom(as opposed to the one for the boys and another for the girls) is less than ideal. All in all its totally fine for drinks but for any period of time I’d head to the bucks on Montrose near the brown line any day of the week.

I live within walking distance of 4 Starbucks! 4! And yet, I walk a few blocks to this one, as it is on my way to work, and close to my parents’ who dog-sit my pup while I work. The baristas here are ALL amazing, but Randy and Tony really go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, and attempt to know the regulars on an individual level. THAT makes all the difference, which is why I go to this chain in Lincoln Sq., rather than the other coffee houses that are independently owned in the area. Service DOES speak volumes for me, and it shows in the way the baristas behave. Clearly, they like their jobs and the atmosphere! Keep it coming!

It’s your typical Starbucks, but one of the employees is insane about the cleaning. You would think it’s a good thing but he scrapes and bangs the hell out of all the chairs ad tables. It’s excruciating. And you can tell he cleans between 8 and 9:30 to avoid cleaning AFTER the store closes. We all want to get home but I end up running out of here to avoid this fanatic’s scraping, screeching, banging, and brooms and mops show. Clean up after close, bro, like a normal store. Instead of making your customers want to run screaming and chugging the aspirin.

We stopped in here before seeing«Flogging Molly» at the Aragon Ballroom. The drinks were perfect and the barista’s were fun. Would def go back.

I’m always a fan of Starbucks locations where the baristas have a great sense of humor, and suggest twists on favorites. During the fall, my all time favorite is the Caramel Apple Spice Cider. One of the baristas that I would talk to frequently while waiting for my drinks, suggested I try it with Chai. I gave it a shot and it was delicious, but the aftertaste was not a favorite of mine, so I haven’t gotten it since. However, it was delicious and I appreciate the suggestion. If you want to beat the line here, go around 7am-7:15 during the week. Anytime after and you risk standing in line. My lack of star is if you don’t hit it at the right time, you risk running into stroller mania.

My experience here was absolutely perfect. I know it’s a chain and realize it’s Starbucks, but I have to say it’s been a long time since I’ve been to a location where it wasn’t too cold, too crowded or too loud! Of course this place is in my old stomping grounds from back in the day, but I haven’t visited in quite awhile. In fact I didn’t even expect to find a table to hang and work, but I did… whoo hoo! The staff here is lovely and organized — no attitude whatsoever. There was a bit of a line, but they shuffled us through quickly. Here you’ll find Old Town peeps, parents with young children, the usual unusual city folks, and some serious study/work customers like myself. There’s a specific library table for those who want to spread out and work with their computers, but plenty of tables and window seats if you’re one of the lucky ones like I was. The new food product line is okay, but I really miss my lemon cake. My chocolate croissant was nothing super special, but I didn’t expect anything spectacular. Loaded with chocolate, it wasn’t homemade heavy, but they did heat it for me and that was unexpected. If you’re seeking a spot to chill and relax with a cup and your laptop, this is a find. If I lived closer I’d be a regular for sure. Until then, it’s the cold crowded locations for me. Sigh…

As a graphic designer, sitting at my computer at home can get pretty boring. The local coffee shop on the block never had open seating & only gives you 120 minutes of wifi, so I often find myself at this Starbucks when I have a big deadline and working at home just isn’t cutting it. As far as Starbucks go, this one is pretty spacious, has lots of natural light, and has friendly baristas. There are lots of tables & there’s almost always a window seat. They give away lots of free samples & my tea is always perfectly sweetened. However, the one bathroom is pretty much always out of tp or soap & has a line down the entire back hall. Plus it seems like the A/C is always on full blast – even when it’s 65 degrees out. Also annoying about this location? Stroller nannies! I don’t get what’s so hard about folding down a stroller when you walk into a busy coffee shop. I’ve had strollers rested against me & my feet run over by those tricycle strollers with the giant front wheel on multiple occasions. The people who work here are doing a great jobs of making a run-of-the-mill coffee chain a good place to get work done, I just wish the customers were as considerate.

This is probably the prettiest Starbucks I’ve been into. The location is HUGE with lots of windows to let in lots of natural light on a warm, summer day. There is also outdoor seating for those who want to people watch the passers by on Lincoln Avenue. The staff seemed friendly though I found it weird that one of them was mopping the floors and putting chairs on top of tables despite still having a few hours before the shop closed. The only downside definitely is that there’s only one bathroom in the whole location, which isn’t good being as big as it is.

I think this might be my favorite Starbucks in the city when I’m looking to stay and linger. Most of the Chicago Starbucks(especially those in the loop) are pretty cramped. There never seem to be enough tables for those who want to enjoy their coffee inside. On a Saturday afternoon, however, this one had plenty. It’s fantastic because I love not having to wait for someone to get up when I want to sit down and it means I can stay awhile and read or use the free wifi without guilt. Of course, the drinks are also good here and the service is consistent. My egg nog iced latte was served up quickly. By the time I had paid I only waited a minute before the order came up. Fantastic. The only thing that could make this place better would be a bit more coziness(i.e. a fireplace or wood floor over tile) but otherwise, it might be my favorite Starbucks in the city.
