Seriously — bring back the old staff. For some reason there is an entire new staff and this ruined a good Starbucks. I just waited 10+ minutes for my drink and no one was in line behind me or in front. Why? When the old staff was here it would be ready in a heartbeat. Unacceptable. Will not be going here anymore.

Hit or Miss. I’ve waited up to 20 minutes for a mobile order, while other times my order is waiting for me upon arrival. Just don’t come here if you’re in a hurry.

Horrible customer service! I was waiting in line for 10 minutes to get my drink and when it was my turn, The guy started talking to the lady behind me without even greeting me or saying anything even though I was next. This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been in I will not be coming back here ever.

This is the worst Starbuck’s in the city. The cashiers and baristas work at the slowest pace, resulting in long lines even during off peak hours. I will go to a starbucks further away just to avoid the horrible service.

Worst Starbucks in the Loop. A 25-minute wait for a classic ice tea. Imagine how long those ‘fancy’ drinks take to make. I get it, it’s close to the EL and commuters flood this place in the mornings, but that’s no excuse. The lines are practically out the door from 7−10AM, and that’s just to take your order, the line to receive it is far more larger. Forget about ordering food or placing an online order — the wait is longer. Believe me, I’ve tried. I work near this Starbucks and no longer go there. Your better off going to the one, or two, near City Hall(both are less than ¼ a block away). Less crowded, faster, and you don’t have to deal with homeless people asking you to buy them a drink. Overall: Don’t go here unless you have a half-hour to spare. **To management: Please deal with the homeless issue– it is unpleasant and killing your customer base.

The cashiers and baristas are extremely friendly here and i work across the street so i keep coming back and always the same happy attitude! I have to give it four stars not because of the exceptional staff but the lines are long if u dont have time to wait, something to consider before ordering anything fancy, and might get ur order wrong because they have so many people waiting for their drinks to be made at once.

Long lines. Extended wait times. Forgotten breakfast sandwiches. Other Starbucks’ in the loop are better managed with better service. Do yourself a favor and avoid this one.

Meh. The employees are nice enough but they never have anything I want here. They are always out of everything– every sandwich, even when it’s on display. Now I find out they don’t have chamomile tea anymore. What? That seriously sucks but at least I will save money by bringing it from home.

Sadly, this Starbucks was recently remodeled, and I have to say it wasn’t an improvement. They got rid of the sofa and many of the power outlets. It simply isn’t conducive to working anymore, which was probably their goal. Service is not nearly as fast. Drinks take much longer, even when there are just 1 or 2 people waiting. Finally, the last time I ordered a drink the coffee tasted burnt. So sad to see one of my favorite downtown spots fall from grace.

People are very pleasant. But the bagel situation could improve. Seems like anytime I order a bagel, I’m waiting 15 minutes to get it. Writing this as I’m waiting yet again :( I also wish they still wrote names on the cups.

Love this location. Friendly staff who seem to enjoy making recommendations and ensuring that you get exactly what you want and that you are 110% satisfied! Only down side is the(sometimes) slow moving line in the morning. They used to take orders down the line but for some reason stopped doing that.

On Thurs. June 26 at 10:30 am I had my purse stolen from the Starbucks at 180 North La Salle Street. It was yanked from the back on my chair, and I felt it and turned to see nothing but a revolving door. It was that fast. I immediately reported what had happened to your manager on duty, Melissa, who informed that«This place is famous for that, it happens all the time.» I asked why they didn’t post warning signs, some purse hooks or maybe some extra security, and she said«They won’t let us put up signs. They know what’s going on but they say we can’t. Maybe you can change their minds.» Why would I have to change Starbucks management’s minds about protecting their customers? I asked how long the store keeps their video surveillance and she said 24 hours. Why such a short time? Do you know of any police investigation that is completed in 24 hours? Don’t they want to catch these people? Don’t they want to stop these thieves from preying on your customers? I am disappointed, baffled and disgusted by Starbucks’ reaction. Clearly they have a security problem with thieves and homeless people. Despite a return visit to the store I have yet to hear a word from the manager. Needless to say I will never set foot in one of these stores again.

This Starbucks is good. The employees here are incredibly fast and efficient. However, this is usually one of the busiest Starbucks ever so I usually try and stay away unless it is 100% an off peak time.

It is spacious; with plenty of electrical outlets. However, The music is too loud to conduct a serious business meeting. In years past this was one of my favorite locations but not now.

I’ve been here during the week in the morning and although its really crowded, its been a normal Starbucks(worthy of 3 stars or so). However, I went here on a Saturday morning to study for a couple hours and it was the creepiest hour I’ve spent at a café. I know that people don’t really frequent Starbucks in the Loop on the weekends but the location on Hubbard(just a couple blocks away) is really normal on the weekend(people go to read and chat etc) so I thought it would be fine. HOWEVER, I was mistaken. At any given time there was maybe one other person in the large store with me(in addition to the employees). In the hour or so, two different homeless people came up to me asking for money. SOUNCOMFORTABLE — especially, when you’re just trying to have a focused study session. I’m never coming here again on the weekend.

Good lord… there are so many branches around this area, but I’m pretty sure this is the right one after double-checking the list of Clover branches. My Nicaragua Diamond on Clover was fantastic — rich, round and weighty. Staff was great and the venue itself is on the spacious side, so this is def one of the better spots if you wanna plop down with your laptop and an itch for free WiFi.

Starbucks oh Starbucks… You’re supposed to be welcoming and happy. I’m supposed to feel invited to try any of your drinks and your chipper suggestions ought to lead the way. But this time the young barista looked at me as if she were annoyed with me… Even before I got to the counter and before either one of us uttered a word. Maybe it was because I was messing around with my phone. I stopped with my phone and smiled at her(trying to warm her friendly side). It didn’t work. It seemed as if I was still bothering her. I asked her what I could by with $ 2.59(all of my cash) and she told me «nothing.» I apologized for taking her time and left.

Let me disclaimer this five-star rating — it’s a Starbucks and I still don’t like coffee all that much, but as far as Starbucks goes, this one is the best in the area. It’s very spacious and the staff is always friendly, even when I just get a Tazo iced tea and make use of the free wifi for hours(which is what I’m doing RIGHTNOW!). But what I love about this place most, is that it’s always quiet in here, even when there’s a rush of people, there’s a general sense of decorum by all guests. There’s never anyone screaming on their phone or having a loud conversation with the person sitting two feet from them. In fact, there’s a general sense of camaraderie, you feel comfortable that the person next to you will watch your stuff if you go up to order a second beverage and the person across the room from you would polite tap the person next to them if they broke the unspoken rules of courtesy. Sigh, if only the rest of the city was this relaxing.

I delight in Starbucks’s marble pound cake. Walked in around a few minutes before closing time after dinner @ Kinzie Chophouse with the hubby and ordered my favorite pastry. Guy behind the counter. «No charge.» Free sweets? Sweet.
