It’s super convenient that this is open 24 hours which is why I come here all the time. On the other hand, the staff here is extremely rude and have zero customer service skills. Also, fun fact: two of the employees had no clue who Jared from Subway was.

Another case of how cheap can these Subway franchises be already. Walked into the restaurant and was not greeted by anyone. I was the only person in the place and waited a few minutes to be acknowledged with«what do you like?» Asked for the sandwich of the day. Time for the sandwich to get dressed. I asked for extra spinach. He literally puts 4 leaves of spinach on the sandwich. I said«come on man, can you give me extra spinach?» He proceeds to give me 3 – 4 more leaves of spinach. At that point, I said you keep your sandwich and walked out. Went somewhere else to eat. Back to Jimmy Johns…

Open 24 hours! This fact has saved me on several occasions. Why, yes I am completely drunk and would LOVE a nice big sandwich. Thank you. The employees are relatively nice and efficient, even at 3 am. Especially when my friend is ordering her sandwich to the tune of «Videophone». Decent amount of seating and there’s a small parking lot for your automobile needs. Otherwise, it’s just another Subway. That’s open 24 hours!!!

I used to work at Subway in high school. I can still smell the stench of the baking bread that used to hang on my work clothes. Surprisingly enough, I still like eating Subway from time to time. And I can follow you down the line and critique their every cut, count, and vegetable placement. At the same time, I’m always extra nice to fast food restaurant workers because I know how much those jobs suck, even at a place like Subway where there is no grease/frying involved. So be nice! This location is one of the better Chicago Subways I’ve been, too. I a while back I actually submitted a compliment on the subway website for one employee in particular who was consistently really good – great sandwich skills, patient yet speedy, and all around seemed like he liked his job.

Well as much as I’m not wild about Subway(see my review of their Sauganash location), sometimes this one has come in handy w/its new 24⁄7 hour operation, when I want an alternative to El Norte. And I still am too weirded out from the old Granville AJ’s Grill(or whatever it’s being renamed to) to want to step foot in the AJ’s just a few storefronts away. If you served pizza(like Irving/Ashland or Addison/Kennedy Expwy locations do), I’d go up another star. Staff isn’t bad at this location, either, so 2.5 stars. It’s funny I still crave their pizza, all the years after going to the Subways at Illinois State University!
