I have to disagree with all the negative feedback on this place. I personally come here at least twice a week because of its great service. The staff is absolutely great. They gave me my meal at no charge when my debit card was acting up. Their staff member Juan was filled with great suggestions in their veggie sub.

I read the other reviews but at 11pm on a Monday night everything else was closed. Employees had personality. Order was simple meatball with onions. Order exactly as requested. Can’t complain.

Unfortunately, this place will survive because of the captive audience they have in the Loop… However, this is the absolute worst Subway in Chicago. The skimpiest sandwiches … I ordered a tuna sub and they barely used ½ a scoop of tuna… They rush you out assembly line style and still can’t seem to get your order right., I have been here a few times and it only gets worst… stay away!

How many subway employees does it take to make 1 footlong tuna sub? Apparently 5. Given my last experience, I should have known better, but the way my thought process worked at the time was 1. I wanted subway, 2. I already walked a bit and wanted it to be close, 3. Im getting takeout, how bad could it really be? So yeah it took 5 people behind the counter to make my sub. And they cheap-ed out on the toppings, when i asked for a little bit of olives — she put 2 olives. This is 2 slices of olives which doesnt even add up to 2 whole olives! Really? You guys really need to clean up this location!

Clearly, the owner of this franchise location has directed his staff to save money by cutting overhead, because they make the world’s skimpiest subway subs. First, they won’t ask you if you want cheese on your sandwich(you know, the standard subway script), but instead walk right over to the veggies. I got a dirty look when the employee had to drop her handful of lettuce after I requested cheese. Speaking of the veggies, the amount they add to the sandwiches is pathetic. For instance, a request for onions resulted in 4 tiny pieces on my sandwich. When I asked for more, they added one more tiny piece! A request for olives only garnered 2. I actually added a whole bunch of veggies that I wasn’t that interested in, just to beef up the sandwich. The staff gives you a nice greeting when you arrive, but makes pathetic sandwiches. Franchise owner: you can’t make up for bad quality food with a «hello» as you walk in. I am going across the street to Jimmy Johns or Potbelly from now on.

This is by far the worst Subway I have ever been to, but somehow I still go. Laziness be damned! But that’s not my major issue… no, sir. I just can’t seem to comprehend why I can’t leave this place with a sandwich made to my specifications. It always ends up wrong. Sigh…

So one night I went out drinking with some co-workers. We may have been a bit tipsy, but the bar closed at 7:30pm, so we couldn’t have done too much damage. We decided we were hungry, and Subway sounded great. We walked in, made it maybe almost to the cash register, when the cashier started yelling at us to get out. There were other customers in line, so they were clearly open. I tried to reason with the man. I told him, «But we’re getting food. We want to eat!» He shook his head, «No! I want you out now!» Then he waved towards the door. Rather than make a scene(which my co-workers were in the process of doing), I decided it wasn’t worth it. If he didn’t want my money, I wasn’t going to eat there. So I left. Interestingly enough, I walked by that place a couple months later, and there was a homeless man sleeping at one of the tables. I have nothing against the homeless, especially when it’s cold, but if the homeless can sleep there, tipsy people should be allowed to eat.
