I ordered a pan pizza from them yesterday, I almost forgot what a great pan pizza can taste like, but they reminded me… If they can keep making them as they do, they have a new loyal customer. Now I need to try their stuffed and the thin crust, but first I need to have another pan. I have now tried their thin crust and it was better than most, but not over the top… Today I had the stuffed and it was as good as I knew it would be.

Tanelli’s has been a family favorite in my family for years but since they moved location, it’s kind of hard to get to them now since they don’t deliver by me anymore. After not having it for a year, I decided to make the trip down there and see if their taste remained the same as I remembered. The good news is that the pizza was still delicious but the only thing I was a little upset about was their fries. Their French fries were covered and drowned in a lot of oil! They were soggy and covered in grease. Pizza and service a 2 thumbs up, their fries, thumbs down. :(

My Husband and I decided to stay in last night and he really wanted a deep dish. Ginos and Giodornao’s both cut off their delivery area a block from my building. Well I don’t need them anymore. We’ve found Tanellis ! After ordering, Someone called to tell me they were out of strawberry cheesecake. No big deal, it happens. Plain is also good. However, The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 was because the plain cheesecake we received instead, tasted a lot like the freezer. That’s my only negative. On to the good stuff! The driver was very nice, called to check my address and told me he was on his way, 25 minutes earlier than the time predicted. When he arrived, he had a 2 liter of soda for us as a first time customer. That was a nice touch. I got my food inside and noticed the management even wrote a cute little note on the pizza box thanking us for trying them! I’ve worked in the service industry for years, and I’ve written notes like that on boxes, but this was my first time receiving one! That is some A+ service! Our pizza was a stuffed pepperoni and sausage. It was one of the best I’ve had and by far the best I’ve had delivered. There was plenty of oregano in the sauce so it didn’t just taste like warmed up crushed tomatoes like so many places. It was so hot and cheesy and was just fantastic! The beef had plenty of herbs and spices as well, and was delicious even cold. We will without a doubt be using Tinelli’s from now on to satisfy that cheesy craving.

This place has been around for a very long time in Chicago. This location has definitely had its ups and downs, but this recent trip I made out confirmed to me that this place is headed in the right direction. It is under new management and they are keeping with their tradition that has made them successful for decades. Pizza was on point and service was great. Give them a try, even if you’ve had a not so great experience in the past.

Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but the mostaccioli I ordered was soggy. The pan-crust pizza was very salty, not sure if it was from the sauce or cheese. The crust was very good. My daughter liked the toasted ravioli — although the dipping sauce was cold. Like I said, maybe just an off day, based on other reviews. We will probably give them another chance in the future since they are in the neighborhood.

Love the pizza here. I usually have it delivered, hot, on time, and usually the nicest young lady delivering. I have come in several times as well. Nice set up with the couch and tv. Like being in your family room. I ask for it Chicago style, extra thin, cheese, sausage. Keep it thin and toasted and we are good.

Decided to order mozzarella sticks and a pizza from Tanellis right down the street. First they forgot the mozerella sticks. We start to eat, everything SEEMS ok! Picked a slice and what do we find??? A FLY! The delivery guy comes back and tells us to call the owner. I call the restaurant and I’m told I’m speaking with a manager. I tell her, hi I just ordered a pizza and found a fly between the pizza crust and the box. She right away snaps back YELLING that I can go and see how clean her kitchen is. That the fly didn’t come from there. Not once did she let me speak, not once did she apologize and say I don’t know how it could happen. The person I spoke to had the WORST customer service skills. I told her I couldn’t believe how she handled this! I just wanted them to know what happened. Im never ordering from there again! Never ever ever!!!

My favorite STUFFED pizza. For me nothing comes close. I like to be objective when it comes to food and try not to over hype anything. I’d also like to say that I gave it 5 bc I have been eating Tanelli’s for close to 20 years when they were on Diversey, but the truth is, in my opinion, it’s just a good pizza. What does it for me is the sauce. The sauce is has a hint of tang, perfect spice, acidity from the tomato, and the right amount of sodium. The cheese is good quality as well. Perfect combo. I’m not a huge crust enthusiast bc if the cheese and sauce are on point I can look past the crust. But in this case I can say I enjoy the crust as well. And what really did for me is the simple fact that I can’t any pizza cold for whatever reason, but I can eat Tanelli’s cold and still really enjoy it.

I like this place. Pizza has quality and price is reasonable. The atmosphere is nice, has sofa if you want to sit and chill with friends while waiting for pizza.

Meh… not bad. There was nobody there when I arrived except for an old man sleeping on the leather couch near the cash register. I paid $ 16 for a large thin crust sausage and pepperoni. This is a bit on the expensive side in some places, but pretty typical if you go into a place with true Chicago style pizza. Crust: not a lot of flavor, a bit on the thicker side for a thin crust(B-) Sauce: good flavor, not too sweet or too tart. Could have had more sauce(B) Toppings: good quality, again, could have a bit more and could have come closer to the edges(B-) Overall:(B-). I would order here again only with a coupon, or on a day when they have a special. Too many great pizza places around here to pay as much as I did for and average pizza.

Where the short-lived Armani Café used to be. Ordered a medium stuffed pizza, which is their specialty. I sat on their leather sofa and watched Cops and King of the Hill while waiting as stuffed pizzas take 2 – 3 times longer than a thin crust. The only employee there was really nice. Now, I usually think that most pizzerias fail at attempting the stuffed pizza style as I’ve always put, with little or no pleasure, Giordano’s as the best. But I can say with great confidence that Tanelli’s is right up there with the corporate chain. Wasn’t messy, balanced, as in not too much cheese, crust or sauce, and the sauce had a great garlic and oregano taste.
