Taqueria El Tapatio

Everything was absolutely delicious! We were greeted with a warm smile and homemade salsa. Order was prepared in no time and everything was fresh. The server was very attentive and made sure we had everything needed. The establishment was clean with nice decorations.

Love this place. Food is great, staff are friendly and the prices are great for the high quality.
Homemade chips and salsa are delicious and come free with every meal. Be sure to try the rib eye steak burrito. Pork tacos are delicious to.
Anyone who likes mexican food should try this spot. Deserves the ⁵⁄₅ star rating.

I trusted the reviews and gave this place a shot. Easy paid street parking on Fullerton. The cashier was very friendly and wasn’t hesitant on giving advice on what they’re known for. I walked out with three tacos and a torta. Al pastor, chile relleno, and ground beef tacos and a steak torta. My total was $ 11.38 and didn’t realize until I was home that I was left with a bag of fresh tortilla chips too! I will be making a trip back asap to try out one of their famous platillos mexicanos.

Always a pleasure coming here. Every time I’m craving a burrito and nachos, this is the first place that comes to mind. Never disappoints in the many years I’ve come here!

There really isn’t any good Mexican food in this area so when I found this so close to home I was excited. Really good Mexican food. The sopes are big and made like at home!

This place is spectacular! Me and my boyfriend come by every week for their amazing tacos and fajitas. This is our mexican spot. The waitress is so nice and is very accommodating when it comes to service. If you love Mexican food and can’t seem to find a place. Be sure to swing by, it will be worth it.

El Tapatio is my favorite maxican taqueria. The food is delicious, everything from their tacos to their caldos. The service is amazing. from the waitresses to the delivery guy. We used to live right up stairs from this place and would eat there 2x a week. We’ve moved further so we go once every month at least. When we do go, the waitresses are always happy to see us. They’ll always play with our son. I cannot say enough good things about this place. They are amazing. Not too pricey either.

This place has the best tacos I have ever eaten and I have been to Mexico. I may be a gringo but this place is my happy place! Try any tacos, tostadas, tortas, or whatever. The food is made with love and care.

I will give this place four stars for now because I can’t say it’s hands down the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, but it sure is damn close! I don’t even know where to begin with this review, but here goes nothing…
My friend lives not too far from here and since I had been dying for some real Mexican food, she suggested El Tapatio. We came inside and the place was surprisingly empty but we had our pick of seats, so that was nice. A few people came in and out, but the puny amount of guests meant we could enjoy our meal in peace. And that’s exactly what we did. The server was so nice to us. She was also attentive. We needed lots of time to decided what to eat/​drink but she didn’t care. She just kept coming back to check on us. They had lots of TVs playing Telenovelas and it wasn’t exactly what I’d call quiet, but it was fine. For a gringa like me, it’s pretty funny to sit there and listen to what they’re saying, trying to decipher the Spanish.
We finally placed our order after having stuffed ourselves on fresh tortilla chips and spicy homemade salsa. They keep bringing them out to you pretty much once you sit down. Fairly standard at most places like this, but I thought I should make that clear you get complimentary chips and salsa with your meal. I ordered a veggie burrito dinner plate. My friend also ordered a burrito dinner and had one of the banana shakes. I went with a boring Diet Coke, but the shake was amazing. I’ll definitely have that next time I come in!!! Don’t make the mistake of getting the soda like I did, especially if you want the full Mexican dining experience. You can get soda anywhere, those shakes are just too yummy to pass up!
The food came and the presentation was fantastic. The burrito dinners were GINORMOUS! A seriously massive burrito covered in sour cream (ours were fancy out of pastry frosting servers — see my pictures I added) served with rice, refried beans with cheese sprinkled on top and some fresh strips of lettuce, a few tomato and avocado slices. YUM! We chowed down and since my friend and I hadn’t seen each other in a while, we would up staying for over 2 hours! As I said, the place wasn’t busy and the waitress didn’t care how long we stayed. So we gabbed away and she would periodically check on us. It couldn’t have been nicer. It was like eating at home, except I could never make such yummy Mexican fare.
Definitely will come back!!! Hopefully I will be able to give this place 5 stars the more places I go to.

I alway order my nachos from here. They are delicious. The waiter even knows my name. I love when I call and she says” your order will be ready in 10 min Ruby :)’

Try the grilled chicken sandwich, and the clouds will open and angels will sing, «ahhhhhhhh».

Ive only ever gotten a torta till last night because they are so good I didnt want to try anything else. I finally tried the burrito, Ive neved devoured and enjoyed a burrito like that unless I was drunk. So glad I was sober to remember the tastiness.
There is eveything in the torta and burrito that I love so I dont have to pay extra for the good stuff like avocado. Its a great price for lots of food.
