Let this serve as a warning to any potential customer or employee! For potential customers, please be aware that O’hare is all about politics and green, meaning whomever bids the highest amount of money to lease business space and does enough brown nosing in the process is the winning bidder. O’hare doesn’t care about quality for the customers, only who makes the most money! This is how this disturbing individual was able to manipulate his way into O’hare airport. Also at the expense of another smaller business who had leased from the airport for 15 yrs before they kicked that competing business out and agreed to lease to this owner. With that being said, this place is all about $$$$ and never about quality from the so called OWNERS standpoint! If you have a license, you’re hired! There are two owners, one of them, Marko Iglendza only cares about bodies filling hiring slots to take care of customers as quickly as possible to generate the utmost revenue! He doesn’t care if you are any good at it, just as long as you are able to help him rip the customers off and continue to fatten his pockets so that he and his partner of 12 – 13 yrs. can continue to lap at the feet of luxury while paying his employees slave wages and ripping the customers off with outrageous prices!
Fortunately, most of the employees DO care about quality but are promptly reprimanded for being too empathetic and not getting the customers fast enough! This place is a revolving door for workers due to one of the owners (Marko Iglendza) constant disrespect, greed and belittlment of both employees and customers! Employees are not long term here and neither are the customers. This guy doesn’t care if you plan on returning for service or not because somebody will always be there to take your place, hence the high number of travelers in the airport! If you complain about a service, don’t bank on getting a refund because it’s not happening once you sign that receipt! If you call the regional manager, Kristy shalbert or the co owner, Marko Iglendza, they will both string you along with lies until you give up and forget about the refund. After all, there will always be customers in the airport to take your place… right?
For potential employees who come here to get a fill of the company in case they contacted you for hire, be aware that public belittlement, underpay, and constant surveillance by camera in every area except the private massage rooms will take place! You are not allowd
to sit down at any time no matter how many hours you work! If you are caught, you will be written up or terminated! Most employees work 7 – 10 hr. shifts and under no circumstances aren’t allowed to sit down in between back to back clients! If you have a serious issue and not able to work your shift, you are at risk for a demerit or termination! Employees have been fired, written up or just quit do to having deaths in the family and not being excused for them! Employees have had parents die and and told that they MUST find coverage for their shifts or risk termination or demerit. Employees have been injured or sickly and told they MUST come in or find coverage or risk termination or demerit as reprimandation!
If you decide to part ways with the company voluntarily, your final paycheck will be held for 1 – 6 months and your direct deposit will be canceled! There arent any break rooms so if you choose to step into the coat room for a quick drink of water in between back to back clients, there is a camera there (there are cameras everywhere) and Marko will quickly call and warn you that you CANNOT drink water in the spa and to step outside! If you do step outside, he will quickly call and tell you that you CANNOT drink outside of the spa either! You are only allowed to stand there at attention and not allowed to lean! (Utterly ridiculous after work 7 – 10 hour shifts without being allowed to sit down!)
The commission he pays for therapists is 70/​30%! You do all the work all only get %30 of the profit!
He starts nail techs at $ 11 hourly with experience $ 10.50 hourly if you are fresh out of school. Utterly ridiculous, especially with the prices he is charging for nail services! If you want to make minimum-​wages, you can go and get employment at McDonald’s and make the same amount! The allotted time for service is unrealistic and you are expected to service and unrealistic amount of clients within a short period of time! He advertises full services but has his front desk people tell you to cut steps from the service to be as quick as possible! He advertises a full pedicure with scrub, foot filing, cuticle work, shape, file buff, light massage and polish in 30 min.!! Totally unrealistic but then turns around and tells you to cut any steps necessary to complete the service in the allotted time! If you do so, the customers will complain (which they should) and you will be forced to complete thereby throwing off your appts. and backing you up with clients! Beware! You are warned!!!

Poor service and unprofessional !! Do not know how to clean dry skin, and clean the nails properly managing rude and disgusting way she spoke to me, made me pay despite not finished the service !!!

The services they offer don’t match the website, the posted signs or the menu. If a chair massage is what you are looking for this is the place for you. Otherwise plan on basic offerings.

3 massages and we’re all strong and perfect!

Wonderful pedicure and excellent deep tissue chair massage. Claire was very helpful and didn’t act snooty because I thought that my toes needed an extra coat of polish. If your flight is delayed at Ohare you might as well get over to Concourse B for a little treat to diminish the woes of travel these days.

I popped by while I was waiting for my next flight. Great vibe, nice comfy chairs, pleasant staff. I got a great pedicure while sipping my coffee and surfing my phone. I really enjoyed it!

Received a manicure from Sandy at the H1 location. She was excellent and super friendly! Great service.

Last time I went here I had a great manicure, it was almost closing time for them as it was a later flight.
I was looking forward to getting a manicure here this morning as I have a long layover. Unfortunately, I was told that they were booked up and that sometimes nail techs don’t come in until the afternoon… Doesn’t this place make money off of impulse purchases/​decisions on services? Didn’t make sense to me at all. Oh well, I guess it saved me from paying for an overpriced manicure

What a disappointing way to spend $ 35 (plus tip!)
I’m here at ORD wasting time and taking a tour of the airport before the real vacation begins. When I saw the airport spa, I knew I’d be game for a massage. You see, I’ve been chasing the high from my first airport massage after a mighty fine trip to Las Vegas many years ago. It was a great trip and ended with the best massage of my life.
The massage I got today… Well, let’s say that it was probably one of the worst. It was harsh and painful and the comparison I made to the person who asked me how it went was that it felt like S&M. Hard, grinding elbows and forearms into my back. Yanking my arms forward and back. Heavy-​handed pressure points.
I assume that he was talented because he had great finger work and it felt like he was playing the piano on my neck. That was nice. …the one nice part.
The most relief this massage gave me was that it was over.

I had a great experience. I had the private room full body 30 minute deep tissue massage.
There was less than a 10 minute wait for my service to begin at 5:30p on a Thursday. (Most of the chair massage stations were full).
I initially thought this place was only chair massages, because that’s all you see when you look at it. The digital menu to the left of the door though lists all the services including Swedish and deep tissue private room full body massages that take place down a hallway to the left rear of the shop.
This place surprised me as being very legit. They had a private room with a normal table. They used a bolster under my shins. They had lotion (not warmed) and warm towels to wipe it off you at the end. There was classical/​world instrumental music playing in the room, though despite it being a bit loud I could still hear muffled airport noise (e.g., doors, announcements), but it honestly didn’t hinder my relaxation.
The male staff I received my massage from was very professional and asked good questions to customise my full body but short massage. I loved some of his techniques one of which included a forearm rub down of my back followed by an elbow pushing my shoulder down towards my feet.
I’d definitely go back here. It’s true as other reviews say there is no official waiting area, but once you get in the back it’s a legit spa experience and you get a free 25 oz bottle of water too.

I had a very good experience here. My manicurist was named Katie. She took her time, listened to what I wanted, and the result was fantastic. My manicure lasted for a week and I received numerous compliments. I highly recommend. Request Katie if you can!

Is there less than one star? No waiting area. 1500 sq. ft. of service area and one working employee, who was busy. Asked me to step outside when I got a call… which I wouldn’t be on if they were providing a service. Total fail. Keep walking.

As I had enough time before my flight departure, I thought it would be great to get my manicure done before returning back home. The front desk person: clueless! Got an «appointment» in 30 mins. Keep in mind this is an airport. The girl doing my nails, Ronny?!? (If this is the way her name is spelled): FANTASTIC !! Very professional. Took her time and did a great job on my nails.
But she is the only one that knows what’s happening there. I had chosen a deep tissue massage after the manicure, at 17:10 I asked the front desk staff how much longer I have to wait for the massage since we were done with the manicure, his reply: your appointment is at 16:40!
Really??? It is 17:10 now.
I opted out. Been waiting over 20 mins for the massage, other customers walked in and got to sit down as I’m staring holes in the air.

OMG, what a great idea, a spa at the airport! Why didn’t someone think of this sooner?
I spied the spa during a change of planes in Terminal 3 at O’Hare airport. It had immediate appeal but time was short. I made a mental note to stop by when I returned home a week later with a 3 hour layover.
Services are divided into three areas, hands & feet, massage and skin care, which means manicures, pedicures, facials and waxing. You might be surprised to learn you can’t just walk up and get immediate service. People actually make appointments so it behooves you to plan ahead. I wanted a massage and since I didn’t have an appointment I had to take what I could get, a 20 minute chair massage a half hour later. I opted for a deep tissue massage. It started a little slow and I wondered how skillful the massage therapist was, but it didn’t take long for his massage skills to kick in. It was professional and really helped my tight muscles.
This was a great way to spend my layover and the massage was much needed. Prices were reasonable (there’s a large menu with prices outside the entrance). I totally recommend it and would do it again.

I get manicures once every 2 weeks. I travel a lot. I thought I had hit the jackpot when I found this place at O’Hare. I couldn’t have been more wrong!
To start, the staff are not friendly. Never did I see a smile, but I could excuse this for good service. Yeah, that didn’t happen. I desperately needed a manicure as I was traveling back home to Boston for a job interview. I got an appointment for 20 minutes after I walked in and was then intructed go leave and come back for it. There is no waiting room. And apparently they don’t want you «hanging out.» I came back at 20 minutes on the dot, picked out my gel color and sat down to what I thought would be a relaxing experience. Let’s just say, I will NEVER return to this place and will not recommend anyone else pay a visit. The woman was quiet and not invasive — huge plus. What she was not was, well, good. The gel immediately bubbled and she did not even completely cover my nails with polish. When I pointed this out to her, she tried to fix them all while telling me the bubbling was my fault. After the 2^nd attempt, which was no better than the first, I pointed out the bubbles and bare parts again, to which her response was, «I did the best I could.» Lady, if that’s your best CLEARLY you are in the wrong field.
Needless to say, I walked out of there paying $ 45 (plus $ 5 tip — b/​c I am not THAT person) for a crappy, unprofessional job that lifted only a few hours later. I reached out to the salon and sent them pictures. I got a response from «Marko» who apologized and told me «Kristy» has already reached out to me to set up another «try.» Well Marko, as I told you, I never heard from Kristy and will not give you another try. It’s not worth my time, aggrevation or money.
Do yourself (and your wallet and sanity) a favor a STAY AWAY!

Masseuse was incredibly rude when I walked in after seeing a friend getting a massage. Was considering getting one myself, but not after how I was treated.

After getting bumped to a later flight, we had the chance to spend the whole day at O’Hare, so I splurged on a chair massage. Apparently there are 2 locations for this fantastic idea — Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.
A few notes:
–their prices are a bit ridiculous, but you’re getting a massage in an airport. It’s like a little slice of heaven in the midst of chaos, so it may be worth the slightly higher price.
–their reception staff is kind of blah. The woman seemed like she hated her life, she should fake it a little better. I’m not sure if you can make an appointment in advance, but definitely make this your first stop when you get into the terminal — second only to Garretts.
All in all, if I ever get stuck in O’Hare for the day again, I’ll be making another visit.

This is a nail salon in the United terminal at ORD. Previously, there wasn’t much to do in this terminal if your flight was delayed, and there was no spa in this terminal. I fly pretty frequently, and typically (about ⁹⁄₁₀ flights) are on United, due to the company being both the preferred provider for my employer and United having hubs in Chicago and in SF, where my extended family lives. I think this is a fabulous addition to the terminal!
The prices are higher than you’d pay at your local nail salon, but that’s to be expected since it’s in the airport and you are a captive audience. (The same is true at the bookstore and at all the restaurants, so I don’t consider price to be a reason to give a lower rating).
I was flying out to Vegas for a friend’s birthday, and my flight kept getting delayed and more delayed. My nails were in a terrible state, so I decided to make the best of a bad situation and used the time to get a manicure. They were open until 8:30 on a weekday, which was impressive– I was not expecting them to be able to take me! I had to wait about 15 minutes because there was only one manicurist, but I had the time and there is a charging station right across from the salon where you can wait and charge your phone.
The manicurist was friendly and did a good job, but the manicure was pretty bare-​bones. (No water soak at all! And they don’t have dryers). I’m giving 3 stars instead of 4 due to the lack of dryers– I don’t have an unlimited time to wait, and as soon as I leave, I need to gather up my coat, purse, carry-​on, etc., and it would much easier to do that if I wasn’t scared to chip my expensive and still tacky manicure.

The owner is rude Yes very much so, but the actual employees are great and the services are wonderful I received a manicure and pedicure from a very nice young lady who always works the early morning shift. If I go back it will be just because she was a great addition to my morning.

I did not use their service, because they were so bad on the sales end.
I was staring at the list of services, and starting to walk to the counter to order a pedicure or a massage, and two men scrambled to be in front of me. I let them go first, and they started to just amble and waste time.
After a bit of time (maybe 3 – 5 minutes), one started to futz with things on a shelf and the other wandered into the back. I finally asked, «are you going to buy something?» and the guy turned, and said he was the owner.
I could not choose between being embarrassed or irritated, which is hardly the introduction you want to a spa/​massage service.
I don’t know why they were putting themselves between a [prospective] customer and a service, but that’s what they did. If that is their business model, I will be interested in which shop replaces them within a season.
