Loved my experience here!!! First of all, we arrived at 11am and we were informed that last call for breakfast was already had. But without us even asking, the waiter said he would ask if we could order breakfast if we wanted, and thus, we were able to order off the breakfast menu! How kind :) I ordered the croissant sandwich, which was nice and flaky and delish! The bacon was particularly perfect. I also got the jasmine green tea, which was so goooood. And they give you a LOT. I couldn’t even finish the whole pot. The atmosphere of the place makes you feel cozy and important. Is that weird to say? But it just does. There is tons of open lighting, which I am a sucker for. I loved dining here for breakfast. And lastly, the staff was so wonderful. Well, I kind of already mentioned this. But towards the end of our meal, the waiters gave us ideas on what to do and where to go during our visit in chitown. They gave great and genuine suggestions. Everything was wonderful about this place!!!

Excelente lugar!

I really wanted to give this place five stars, but I was not exactly pleased with the staff. My friend and I got there at 10:45am and were informed that they’re doing last calls for their breakfast menu, so we ordered right away. My friend had originally asked for their eggs in a pot, but after about 4 minutes the lady came back and told us that they’re out, and now she can only take order from their lunch menu. I’m not sure what their time frame is, but that was 10:52. The food was good. I had the avocado toast, and it was arguably the second best I’ve ever had. The avocado was fresh and ripe and very very very creamy. The poached egg on the top was OK, the yolk was cooked a little much for my taste. Regardless, the big chunks of avocado with basil was very impressive, the basil really added to the flavor and gave it a fresh taste. Excellent interior design as well, which I am a total sucker for. Perfect for a breakfast or lunch with your friend(if you can wake up early enough to make it before they start their lunch menu, that is). The lunch menu seemed good too, definitely want to try their wagyu tartare and tuna crudo, and the atmosphere seemed to be good for an afternoon tea too. I am definitely going back, I just wish the staff was a little friendlier, i got the impression that they just didn’t want to be bothered and were not pleased whenever we asked for something(we weren’t asking for anything impossible, I just wanted a napkin so I could spit out my gum, and separate checks for me and my friend. Plus, we only had one menu to begin with). Also, I could see how it could get a little hectic as people from the hotel kept on passing by with luggages. I really want to like this place, hopefully it will work out next time.

This is a perfect place for the afternoon high tea. Nice and cozy atmosphere! I have been to high tea at The Drake. This is much for casual in comparison. They were accommodating to my dietary restrictions. Being pregnant, I was avoiding caffeine and they had a few decaf options. They were also able to provide vegetarian options for some things that were non-vegetarian. You can make reservations for high ahead of time. Perfect place to hang out with your girlfriends!

I came here for afternoon tea with 4 other girls and had to wait about 30 mins before my friends and I were seated. We were very excited for the pastries and sweets and tea but were disappointed by the freshness of the food. The bread on the sandwiches were dry and the macarons were hard. The only dessert that I enjoyed was the scone and the chocolate great(which was great). Other than that, the tea was just all right. Not super aromatic, but decent. The ambiance of this place, though, is beautiful. The chandeliers, couches, tables, and décor are all spot on. I love how the colors of the furniture complemented the décor and the walls of this place. The plates are also gorgeous. I love the simple, yet classic design of the plates and tea pot. Come here for the aesthetics, but definitely not for the afternoon tea. I might come back and try their brunch, since I’ve heard great things about that.

This place is so cute! I love the marble countertop on the bar and the fact they can keep it clean without defect(ever had white marble? NEVER again). With fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs you can’t go wrong with any drink. They care about presentation. The bartender is cool as hell and the vibe is chill. The cocktail list is limited and the liquor choice isn’t the average super cheap stuff. I appreciate it. Almost makes me want to move to Chicago and make this a regular place. I ordered the Eastern Standard with Gin. In one word to describe it: Yes. That is all. Dropping the Mic.

Wondering if you should try this place out? Well you better! There is no place like this in Chicago… it’s beautiful with a line of gorgeous chandeliers across the whole restaurant! There’s an open bar to the right when you enter and to your left are the couches/tables that you sit on On the right and left side of The Allis are two other restaurants, one’s a chicken shop place and the other is a pizza place! Anyways, this place is beautiful and so well put together and elegant and just plain cute! My cousin, two sisters, a friend, and I went on Valentine’s Day, and reserved for the Afternoon tea which was great with savory and sweet finger foods! So the tea platter special was so cute and actually kept me full without giving me that bloaty feeling! There were three finger sandwiches — egg/cucumber/salmon, there were also a bunch of two-bite desserts that were all fantastic and scrumptious! I swear this place makes you feel like your British and that you are a part of the royal family just having a casual lunch The service was great and was very glad to share more information about our platter and explain anything we needed to know! Everything came out in timely fashion. It was a bit pricey, for all of us, we paid $ 230 in total. With 5 tea platters and a couple more items! Hope you try it… God Bless :)

Overall this was a good experience. Their tea was delish and they let each person order their own preference of tea, which is a major plus! However, their tea sandwiches were disappointing flavorless. Some of their pastries were good, but not all. For the price, we found the eats accompanying the tea to be disappointing. The ambience of quite nice and it was a fun outing.

I went to the Allis for lunch and was delighted by how charming the space was and how delicious the food was. The Allis is located in the Soho House right off the lobby. They have different menus throughout the day from breakfast til dinner. I had the soup and salad combo with the bean soup of the day and the chopped salad. The presentation was cute and the food was light but filling. They have a fancy afternoon tea that they suggest making a reservation for that I would love to go back and try. The reason I gave the Allis 4 stars instead of 5 was the service. The waiter took forever to come back and take the order after giving us the menus, never came to check how the food was and took an unnecessary amount of time to get us the check. It wasn’t busy when I went so I don’t see any reason for the slow service.

This place… wow wow wow. Gorgeous. I wish I lived there. This place has cute seating in unique chairs for two or large dining tables for larger groups. Had lunch on a Friday with Chelsea as our waitress. She was fantastic. Suggested fresh squeezed grapefruit mimosas. They were amazing and the glasses are very great gatsby. I had the Allis platter with cheese and meats. And a cup of crème of broccoli with Gouda. It was delish. I can’t wait to try their brunch.

I’ve been here twice for brunch. The first time here, I ordered eggs in a pot with a side of fruit bowl and hot tea. I wasn’t expecting the eggs to be really good. I thought it was going to be decent, but nope, they were savory, with right amount of salt, and delicious runny yolk. Second time, I had lox, blueberry muffin, and hot tea. The smoked salmon for the lox was very fresh. I even enjoyed the muffin because they tasted like they were home baked. The interior design of this place is eye opening, with elegant and vintage vibes — also comfty chairs & sofas. This place never fails to impress me, and it is my go-to brunch spot. There’s not a lot in their menus, but I hope that they can expand them.

The Allis is a beautiful place — lots of natural lighting, chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings, wood tables contrasted with brick walls, couch chairs, and an overall vintage feel. LOVE it. such a cozy atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place for afternoon tea with your girlfriends — it’s about $ 29 per person and includes an assortment of finger sandwiches and desserts as well as a pot of tea. Keep in mind that afternoon tea is VERY popular here so you will need to make reservations ahead of time. I made mine for 5 people about 2 weeks in advance and even then, they only had 2 times available for the Saturday that I wanted.

Every time i walk inside The Allis, I fall in love all over again. It’s a designers dream– eclectic, and dressed with all kinds of beautiful elements like chandeliers, velvet tufted couches, and a modern library setting. I’m most often found here enjoying a glass of champagne while waiting for a member to arrive. They also have a small but lux menu filled with light munchies– lox toast, brisket grilled cheese, Marcona almonds and olives, etc. Everything I’ve had is delightful. They also have a great full brunch menu, and they serve tea on the weekend! I’m a sucker for a good tea service, so I’m looking forward to trying that out with a group of girlfriends.

Came here with my wife and daughter for afternoon tea. Was definitely impressed by the warm eclectic interior and causal seating arrangements. High tea consists of your standard finger sandwiches, scones, pastries, and desserts. Tea was good and service was excellent. Would definitely come back when we are in the area.

I was here for a Girl’s Day/celebrating a birthday around 4pm in the evening, and got the high-tea for the four of us. This was my first experience with high tea and I really liked it(although my bank account probably did not!) First: the teas. We shared African amber, Jade green and Verbena mint. I loved the African Amber with notes of mango, hibiscus and vanilla. Jade green needed more steeping time for full flavor and verbena mint was pretty good as well. The food: We had the 29 $ package that came with cream puffs, chocolate cake, fruit tart, macaroons red velvet cupcakes, salmon and ham finger sandwiches, and my favorite = scone with clotted cream. I was introduced to the goodness of clotted cream at this place and it seems like I can eat a tub-full of it by itself! It was this rich, delicious cream that went perfectly with the scone. The service was good. The food was a bit overpriced, and quite forgettable(besides the clotted cream and scone!). I would go for another tea with my girls, but not sure if I’ll get the package again. The ambiance is very laid back. On a side note, I was introduced to the Pizza East and Chicken Shop right upstairs. And filled out the form where if you install the app after they send you invites, you get 50% off the bill on Mondays(for chicken) and Tues.(for pizza!) Looking forward to those visits!

I went to the Allis the first time this past Saturday and was impressed right off the bat. I was looking for a place to study in west loop and decided to drop by. When you first walk in, you notice almost immediately that it’s not your run of the mill study space(and to be quite honest, I don’t think the Allis is REALLY meant to be a study area, definitely more like a bar/restaurant/place to catch up with friends and family). There are beautiful chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings, comfy sofas and chairs everywhere, and lots of tables to sit and read the newspaper. Being a hotel lobby(Soho house), there are people coming and going, which means good people watching! If anything, just come by to enjoy the beautiful space. Upon sitting down at a long wooden table, a waiter came up and took my friend and my coffee orders(I got the mocha and my friend, an americano). We waited about 10 minutes before being brought our drinks. The mocha was really good– I’ve never had blue bottle coffee before and thought it was delicious. I came here at around 11 am and there was plenty of seating. Once it hit around 1 pm, the place definitely filled up and larger groups started coming in. I’d say, come here early and enjoy the nice ambiance and great décor and leave before the afternoon rush. The servers were exceptionally nice and patient. Overall, a great experience. I’m looking forward to coming back for afternoon tea or brunch sometime soon.

Perfect for the person that(if you’re considering breakfast): –Wants a quiet morning with a friend –Wants a light and healthy breakfast that includes in house fresh croissants, smoked salmon, bread, and flavorful teas –Wants to get work done alone on their laptop –Enjoys large chandeliers, appreciates china, and the SOHO environment –Wants to spend fairly They have high tea available everyday from 3 – 5 and they recommend you make reservations– can’t wait to come back for that. The service is slow– they just a laid back and casual service. The Allis is beautiful– a great place to come by in the West Loop.

Located in the Soho House hotel, The Allis is one cool spot. The space is simply amazing; the high ceilings, large crystal chandeliers, floor to ceiling windows add an air of sophistication. The modern art on the exposed brick walls helps to balance things out to create an environment like no other. The ambiance is perfect for sipping tea, a cup of coffee, pressed juices or even a craft cocktail or two. You decide, as it’s all available here. In addition to an array of beverages there are light meals and pastries on the menu. On my visit I went with the craft cocktails(of course I did) and was not disappointed. The Soho Mule was quite tasty; made with 42 Below Vodka, house made ginger syrup, soda and ginger candy. The ginger candy adds a nice twist to the drink. I also tried the Eastern Standard(Grey Goose, lime, sugar, cucumber, mint) which was refreshing. Service is just what one would expect of place like this; friendly and attentive. I look forward to my next visit to The Allis.

I love this place. Ambience is cozy yet sophisticated. Intimate and classy. Came on a Friday night and it was full but not packed. Was able to get a table easily. Drinks are amazing too! Affordable and delicious. Cocktails are all around $ 11. Definitely a nice change from the $ 15-$ 20 cocktails in LA. I highly recommend the allis soho mule. It’s a very spicy(in a ginger spicy way) drink. It wasn’t syrupy ginger at all. I also recommend the eastern standard. For those that have been to Spago in Beverly Hills, there’s this $ 30 drink called peppino’s revenge that I absolutely loved but couldn’t afford to drink again. Eastern standard is very close to pepino’s revenge but half the price!!! Ding ding ding!!! Loved the server and everything about this place!

The tea sets and plates are absolutely stunning. I made a reservation for 5 on a Sunday afternoon and we got the huge round table in the middle of the floor. The mint tea had a really subtle flavor. When I got a hot water refill, it almost lost its flavor. The tower of food was gorgeous! I thought everything was delicious except for the lemon tart. It tasted like metal. They also have a vegetarian set!

Favorite meal=Afternoon Tea! While I try to find any excuse to inject caffeine into my body, I think I may like the actual sandwiches and sweets at tea better than tea itself. The Peninsula is usually my go to for afternoon tea, but I recently decided to switch it up for tea at The Allis. The Allis is located within the Soho House and the only dining area that non members can enjoy. Their Afternoon Tea may be the best deal in town at $ 24/person($ 32 if you include a glass of prosecco). In comparison High Tea at the Peninsula is $ 55/person($ 68 with prosecco). The sandwiches, sweets, tea and prosecco were all very tasty. My only complaint was the stomach ache I had later that evening for eating way too much. The atmosphere is a bit more casual than some other High Tea hotel experiences, but still great. Unfortunately, they aren’t able to do a table for more than 15 people with the way they were set up, but did their best to accommodate my party of 18. Looking forward to trying other meals(and of course more tea time) at The Allis. Based on tea here and food in the members only restaurant at the Soho House I’m sure it won’t disappoint.
