Wonderful, personal attention. The readily available selections are truly unique one-of-a-kind items; have purchased many in the past. In addition, to those pieces, I was thrilled with the ring I had redesigned from my old jewelry I no longer wore. It is truly a work of art.

I have a couple customized jewelry pieces from this jeweler. They hold a special place in my heart and I wear them with pride. I adore Sherry. She spends time with you and listens to your needs. She has extraordinary talent.

Loved every experience I have had at The Goldsmith. Each time you’re there they treat you like family, and the owner Sherrie cares to sit down with you and take the time to talk to you about any piece you are looking to create or make changes to. My mother had a pendant that was in a floral shape made up of diamonds that she didn’t wear anymore. Knowing this is something I wouldn’t wear either, we took it to Sherrie. She worked with us to create a ring that I now wear every day. She melted down the gold, removed the diamonds, and created a really unique ring that I wear every day and always receive comments on. I would highly recommend going here with old items that you want to re-create, or even going here with a vision of what kind of piece you want her to create for you. All around, great experience.

When I’m looking for a special gift for my special someone, something that is unique that you won’t see on anyone else, I know who to call… The Goldsmith LTD. Designing is a very important element, along with quality work, excellent customer service, and the ability to purchase something that will be enjoyed for many years to come with a «pop of WOW factor». The Goldsmith’s designs have it all and worth taking the time to take a look.

For the short version: I had a horrible experience, this place basically botched up a family heirloom and I now have to find somewhere else to fix it because I’m never going here again. For the long version: My engagement ring was a family piece from my husband’s great-grandmother. It’s precious to us for sentimental reasons. Shortly after getting engaged, we went to have the ring appraised and were told that we should have the band thickened because of age and wear. Besides the band the ring was in perfect condition and all the settings were very secure. The appraiser mentioned that he occasionally worked with Sherry and recommended her for the band thickening. We went to The Goldsmith and when I got the engagement ring back I noticed that the engraving on the side was somewhat sloppily done but figured that at least the ring was fine. Thought it was perhaps a 3 star experience. I wore the ring for about a week when I noticed jiggling. The top setting became completely loose three days before my wedding! I rushed back to The Goldsmith and they said they could have it fixed the next day. They fixed it but then also charged me for it, which seemed a tad ridiculous since the setting was fine before they did any work on the band. I was annoyed but just wanted to be done with it. I wore the ring for my wedding and then stored it away for special occasions. A few months later, I took the ring out for a family dinner and half way through the day I noticed that one of the side diamonds had completely fallen out! This ring was literally worn for a lifetime with no problems and after being«fixed» at The Goldsmith it had a diamond just completely fall out of a setting. Ugh.

«A woman without jewelry is like a night without stars”– a saying so aptly displayed at The Goldsmith. While I want to insert an extravagant«Pretty Woman» moment, I unfortunately was not there for any jewelry purchases. I always feel like the hunchback whenever I’m scurrying around in the 900 building. So many beautiful, fashionable folks at every corner! But when my Swiss Army watch died, I decided to forego butter knife craftiness and walked over. Forked over the $ 20 for a battery replacement. It took them twenty minutes. In the meantime, I gawked at their assortments of bling and window shopped elsewhere. Easy, efficient, with well-handled care!

Bellissimo! Amazing! Superb! For over 25 years, I’ve gone to the Goldsmith and Sherry for everything from simple repairs on costume jewelry to designing a one-of-a kind engagement ring and everything in between. I literally get stopped in elevators, restaurants – even on the street by women saying, «OMG, that’s so beautiful – where did you get it?» Of course, the«it» is a piece of jewelry Sherry designed – she IS The Goldsmith in every sense of the phrase – creative in her original designs, warm and inviting in her conversations, passionate about her work and fair in her pricing. If I could give The Goldsmith 10 stars, I would!

Wow. So I go to have my watch battery replaced during lunch. They give it back to me 20 minutes later and tell me the stem is broken, which is weird, because it was working that morning. They say they can fix it. I ask them to please let me know if there’s going to be a charge before they go ahead with any repairs. They say they will. You know where this is going. When I go to pick it up the next day, they tell me it’s $ 15 for the repair. I asked the girl if she remembered me asking to approve all charges and she said she thought that was only for«big charges.» First, it’s not. Second, it was $ 20 to change the battery, so I’d say adding another 75% to the total cost is a big charge. She did not reverse the charge. End of conversation. Besides being cheap, the move was stupid, because i might have gone back. You might have gone. Now neither of us will. Hope that $ 15 was worth it.

I can’t say enough nice things about Sherry and her team at the Goldsmith. When my grandmother passed away in 2003, I received her engagement ring. When I got married in 2010, I brought it to Sherry to have it restored. She re-engraved one part that had deteriorated and also reinforced the band. However, about 18 months later, the original face of the ring bent back and broke. I brought it back to Sherry, who recreated it to look exactly the same, only stronger. This ring is more about intricate engraving than bling — in fact, the stone is barely noticeable — but the care that Sherry put it into it brought it back to its 1940s glory! Thank you thank you thank you.

i spoke with them beforehand via email and the communication level was fantastic! my fiancé took my white gold engagement ring to be cleaned and the rhodium redone. he dropped it off at lunch and picked it up after work. the ring looks fantastic and the price was very competitive. i couldn’t have been happier.
