In town for business and came here for dinner. Great place, decent food and prices. Hubby liked the scenery too.

Went here to watch Game 3 of the Cubs Cards series, they had a cool(dangerous) deal of a free shot of malort for every time the cubs scored a run, and in that game God help us all: p it wasnt too packed but i still had a fun time, the waitresses were nice, we sat right at the bar but still got food service, the pastrami sandwich was good, as were the spinach artichoke dip and chips, a solid beer list as well, id gladly go back for another game, though there is a bathroom attendant so just be aware

This place made me frown. Came here for happy hour with a few coworkers. Sigh. It’s got the typical chain restaurant feel. Music that’s too loud and waitresses that stand around doing nothing. The one hostess had an issue with putting tables together as there were 12 of us. First she wanted to seat us in an area that no one was seated in, then she tried to split us up before finally putting tables together After we were seated, I ordered a vodka and lemonade which was watered down. I’m not a beer drinker otherwise I probably would have enjoyed my liquor. Since I was mad at my drink I decided to order nachos. I got the half order with ground beef and the works. They weren’t even hot when they came out! And that small spattering of ground beef that was on there made me even more mad. I don’t understand how the cheese melted when it was lukewarm at best. Did they make the nachos and leave them sitting there? I ordered another drink. Also watered down. Frowning more. The only thing that made me smile was the shot I did of tequila and the chicken wing I took off a coworkers plate. Eh. I hadn’t been out for happy hour in awhile. I was just over it. Only reason I gave it 2 stars because our waitress was very attentive to our group.

We were looking for a cool spot to grub, watch the game and just kick it! This is the spot! Thank you Amanda Blecka! BoOm! You and our server, Pam, rock!!! The food was delicious and there was plenty. We had wings, black angus sliders, homemade style nachos and tons of mozzarella sticks!

Came in after a show at the Chicago theater and was sorely disappointed by the lack of girls and bad nachos. How do you mess up nachos?!

This place is such a mess, it’s almost not worth the ink. I walked in off the street not knowing anything about it. Apparently, it’s the Scottish equivalent of Hooters — so that’s disgusting for starters. The place was largely empty on a Saturday night(red flag!) Despite so many empty tables, the hostess managed to seat me at the crappiest table in the place. And then I waited… and waited… and waited for a server to show up. Eventually, I got tired of waiting and walked out. The hostess said nothing as I exited. Bam!

Geologists be warned this is a target rich environment. The layman and everyday Joe would think all rocks or in this case boulders look alike. Let me assure you they aren’t and don’t. My geological discovery took place over a few glasses of wine. The layout of the place was terrific, with wooden floors and plenty of space to move around and observe the ambience. I did not eat. Rather enjoyed the conversation and hoped to take home a specimen from the many beautiful, smart and pleasant team members dressed in traditional Irish fair. It’s the perfect location to jump out of the office or take a break from downtown hustle and bustle. Good attitudes and good fun all around. :-)

We make it a point to go to these places in every city we are in. The beer is good and the food is usually really tasty. And usually a fun conversation starts up and we spend a couple hours drinking and eating(and consequently spending). Tonight unfortunately was a slow night, and I think most of the staff was bored out of their skulls. We asked 3 times to different people(even the door greeter) if we could order some food, we were told someone would be over, and nobody ever came. The staff saundered about in congregations of 3 – 4 people, and still, nobody. So we finished our single beers and left, where we hopped around for the next 6 hours at other pubs . We probably would have stayed and watched the games, if we could have but we ended up spending a lot of money everywhere else. Unfortunate.

Disappointing visit to Tilted Kilt This time. Burger was horrible. Meat came out well done, after I made it clear that it needed to be Medium. Bread was rock hard. The wings were the only saving grace. They were actually pretty good. Service was dissapointing as well. I should have had at least 2 – 3 more beers for the amount time I was there. The Bar Back was my waiter. Seriously! He kept checking in on me which I appreciated greatly. I should have tipped him. Kudos to him. And they were not that crazy busy. Sadly there is no way I could leave the pretty little bartender 20% on a $ 40 dollar tab. I love the joint and will be back.

My trip to the Tilted Kilt on a Saturday night for dinner and drinks was a nightmare. Absolutely terrible. We were seated right away and the first thing our server says is that it may take a while to get drinks as they are really busy. Um, ok… I have never been told that at any restaurant before in my entire life. We wanted drinks though so my table put in our orders. She then asks to hold my ID as collateral for our table. Um, ok… also have never experienced this in my entire life. We then did not see our server again for 20 minutes which was frustrating as we were quite hungry and wanted to order food. After placing our food orders and being assured we would receive our drinks soon, we proceed to wait another 30 minutes at which point we received the food along with our drinks. Yes, that means we waited 50MINUTES to receive drinks. On top of this, the cocktails tasted like pure sugar with zero alcohol and the shots of Southern Comfort were maybe half-shots at best. As we are eating our food(which actually was decent by the way — the club sandwiches and wings were all good) we realize that we have no napkins, and we are still waiting for water. It takes another 15 minutes to receive these items. After we finished eating, we were so frustrated that we just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. We received the bill and were shocked to see that the shots of Southern Comfort we took were $ 8.50 each — OUTRAGEOUS. But wait, there’s more. Our server tells us she cannot split the check 5 ways because it would take too long. So I pay for everything and my friends and I get out of there as fast as possible. We are half way back to my apartment when I realize… yep, you guessed it — I never got back my ID. I tell my friends to go ahead back to my place without me while I jog the half mile back to the restaurant I vowed never to set foot in again.

Their burger portions are pretty big, but the Gaelic Chicken I had was way too salty.

I was pretty disappointed in my trip to Tilted Kilt. Our service was unreasonably slow. We ended up ordering double beers just so we could make sure that we wouldn’t go thirsty as we were watching the fight. Our server was near-incompetent coming back regularly with explanations for why there was a screw up. The wings I ordered at the beginning of the five-fight card didn’t come out until after the main event, well over two hours after the order was placed, due to a slow server and a kitchen screw up. I was really disheartened, especially since this is the only place I’ve found in Chicago so far that serves wings that are baked rather than fried(my preference) and has a solid selection of sauces. With the atmosphere, the beautiful women, and solid wings, I was hoping to become a semi-regular here, but if this is the kind of service one can expect, I doubt if I will show my face at this establishment again.

I came here with my best friend for her birthday by her choice. She’s been here before and this was my first. Pros: Dark and fireplace area we sat at. The sports bar look. Cons: I asked, who I assumed, the manager if they did anything for guests’ birthdays(i.e. Hooters) He said that the waitresses come around(with something free — I forgot, because we didn’t receive it) and sing Happy Birthday. The food isn’t great. I ordered the baked chicken with steamed veggies and the vegetables looked like they were microwaved. I returned that and asked for the hot wings like my friend had, which were just okay. It was not busy so I don’t understand why the food was so subpar. My daughter’s flatbread pizza was the only thing that tasted decent. I was mostly disappointed not only in the food but this«birthday gift and song» for my friend did not happen and I was waiting because I asked the«manager» without my friend’s knowledge. I won’t be back. I’ll stick to Hooters.

This is a difficult one to rate. Tilted Kilt itself is fine. I’ve never eaten there but I watched a few March Madness games there with my guys. The staff was friendly and the beer was cold. We never had to wait too long for a beer even though it was packed. The bartenders were good at their jobs. In other words, it ran like a good bar is supposed to run. The reason I go for three and not four stars is the crowd. Don’t get me wrong, some of the guys there are perfectly fine. And then some are not. Too many guys there are either staring just a little too much, or are trying just a little too hard to impress the servers and bartenders(who get hit on all day long and aren’t interested). It can lead to an uncomfortable sort of vibe at times. At least it can for me. I don’t imagine myself ever avoiding this place for any reason, but I also don’t really see myself going out of my way to return. It’s really a shame because this has nothing to do with the establishment itself. Our bartender was a total sweetheart.

The food is good, the beer is flowing and they have well placed televisions; but let’s keep it real. You go here to oogle the talent so depending upon the level of talent your experience will either be eh, good, or great. Try the grilled wings(they come with garlic fries here) which are exceptional.

I don’t want to sound like a complete jerk or a judgemental pervert, but for a location in the Loop and in the heart of Chicago, I am expecting a wide range of hotness here. Don’t be fool by the stock pictures on Unilocal. It’s also rude to take pictures of staff with out their consent so don’t be a weirdo and snap pictures of the ladies on staff. We stopped at the location here to kill some time before going to dinner because I love to people watch. Saturday, 5PM staff. Ladies, I love you. Thank you for doing a job in practically your bra and undies so that I can see how my own boobs are sagging and my belly is fat from years of living the Chicago foodie life. The hiring manager probably has a «type» judging by the fact that all the ladies look pretty much the same. I would have like to see some Asians, Blacks, or Latinas representing the floor. Why does all the staff wear sexy librarian glasses? Is that part of the attire? So past my rant of visual observation. If you’re a fan of Golden Tee. You can plan rounds of it here. You can even sign up and play league style. There are pool tables in the corner by the bar and TVs in almost every corner of this establishment. Alright. So there were several reviews here mentioning the deliciousness of garlic fries. My garlic fries were undercooked, soaked in oil, and covered in garlic. I mean, seasoning wise, it was good. But I mean, if you’re into soggy limp and semi raw fries, then good for you. Me? I like crispy cooked fries. The boneless buffalo nuggets and a side of house salad were decent. Nothing to write home about. The salad was cold and crisp. Nothing out of the ordinary. Our server, Alyssa was awesome. She was attentive, informative of the menu, and did a great job overall.

You have to judge this place for what it is. Therefore, my rating is not affected by the ambiance of creepy men and boobalicious women. Came for lunch with a few co-workers. We were seated right away. It took a bit for our server to come by with our waters. One of my coworkers inquired about their stew containing lactose and our server responded with, «I doubt it,» which isn’t exactly reassuring to someone who has a food ailment. Luckily, she offered to double check on that. Anywho, food came at an appropriate time. I got the boneless wings in the kilt burner sauce with a side of regular fries. The fries were fine and standard. The number of wings was satisfying. I actually enjoyed these very much. Haven’t had a sauce quite like this one, although it could have been spicier, but that’s just me. It did have a nice smoky heat to it. Our server did come by here and there to check on us, but disappeared towards the end when we needed our check. Luckily, one of the other females got a hold of her. Server came back and flawless end to our service. While she could have been better, she was definitely friendly, even though most of us at the table were girls. Also to keep in mind regarding slow service is that they probably are tending to their regulars and other lads, which is just part of the game, so probably not the best place if looking for a quick bite. Overall, good wings, average service.

Similar business model to Hooters except for the following: –the waitresses are very good looking, compared to the staff at Hooters on Ohio –the menu selection and variety destroys the Hooters limited menu(Chicken wraps are outstanding) –the alcohol selection is more expansive than the Hooters –better specials than the Hooters PBR specials –the atmosphere is better I swear there were a couple of all-stars here that could have been on the annual calendar! Ashley from FL was our waitress and was very friendly! We never had to wait too long for anything as the service was perfect! This was during a busy Friday lunch crowd! If you are downtown by Jewelers Row and looking for a place to eat, give this place a try. You will love the scenery!

This is basically a Scottish version of Hooters. If you like that kind of place where the«visuals» is what you’re there for vs. food, then you may give this place a higher rating. If you’re going for drinks — it’s nothing special. But the food is pretty horrid. This is not a place I would pick on my own — but a co-worker was celebrating an employment anniversary so I went to celebrate for him. Outside of that, I would neither go back nor recommend this place to anyone.

My cousin and I were looking for a place to munch on some appetizers during happy hour and stumbled into the TKPE. We were probably the only two girls in that place and definitely the only Asians by the time we left. This place reminded me a lot of Hooters, where a lot of guys come to stare at the girls who they probably dream of but never getting with. Anywho, we ordered a few drinks and were really disappointed at the varieties and the quality of the drinks. And we ordered quite a bit of drinks. The drinks honestly seemed to be watered down and to be frank, after 7 drinks, we left barely feeling buzzed. We decided to order nachos, so we had something to munch on while we ordered our drinks. We were both highly disappointed with the ratio of toppings to chips and not to mention, the toppings were very limited. I definitely will not be coming back.
