I found Truli Julie at Elmhurst’s Art in the Park event. As much as I like art, tasty eats are my weakness — so naturally I flocked to the foodie stands. Julie herself was at the tent giving out samples of her different flavored biscottis and I was happy to indulge. These delectable bites are simply scrumptious folks. And the variety! She has sweet and savory little breads and the pairing suggestions to go along with it. I tried the cranberry pistachio and fig walnut which were both out of this world. I can easily picture myself pairing them with coffee or tea. I was on the hunt for a appetizer-like snack to bring over to my parents’ house, so I decided to purchase the asiago peppercorn bites, which I thought would go great with wine. These little treats were packed full of Wisconsin made asiago cheese and a mixture of black, green, pink and white peppercorns. Julie suggested spreading goat cheese on top, which ended up being a delicious combo. It was a big hit amongst my family!
