Valentine Chgo Boys Club

Valentine Boys and Girls Club is an excellent business in Bridgeport. My son goes to this club after school during the week and also during summer break and has been attending for nearly 6 years. He super LOVES it. It’s an excellent program and an affordable option for after school care for children in the area. (I don’t remember the exact price we pay for after school care but it’s somewhere around $ 30 a YEAR. Summer camp is an additional fee.)
The best thing about the Boys and Girls club is that they offer a multitude of afterschool programs for the children. They have art and dance class, basketball and other sports, swimming lessons, homework assistance, etc. Being a parent of Chicago Public Schools you really have to appreciate these extra programs as they are so limited in his regular grade school.
The program that Theresa and Nick run for swimming is also excellent. Before I even knew that my son had learned how to swim properly he not only knew how to swim but also could swim all 4 competitive swim strokes and play water polo.
All of the staff at the BGC do a great job and I’m very happy to have my son there.

We only just started going here, but already feel like we missed out on some great after school programs.
Signed up for summer camp and it looks really exciting. As a parent you will be amazed and how affordable this place is for what they have to offer.
