I only give it a 2-star because it enjoyed the food, for being Wendy’s. The service is rather atrocious. I have never felt such hostility from the workers in my life. Enough said.

Just plain bad service. Rude cashiers, incorrect orders, which I attribute to the cashier not listening or prep is not paying attention. Why do I continue to go there — unfortunately it is right next door to my condo. It is mass confusion behind the counter and clearly there is no clear, firm, confident leadership at this location. It is sad, they are in a great location but the team is not working as a team and that is why they only get one star. I’d give them a negative two star if I could.

Has anyone said anything good about this place recently? I won’t usually write a review for a fast food joint, but this place amazes me. I walk in, and there’s nobody in line. The cashier and manager look at me but continue to wipe their trays. That’s fine– I wasn’t ready, yet. When I was, I looked at the cashier, and she asks me, «For here or to go?» Oh, I’m doing well, thanks! Gave me the wrong change, but it landed in my favor. Then, my food was ready, even though it was supposed to be for here, the other cashier bagged my food with one hand and didn’t look at me at all. Nothing but rude people here! Not quite sure what I did, or why they even work here, if they’re SO unhappy. This place definitely needs new management to encourage their staff.

There isn’t much that can be said about the food. Wendy’s is the same everywhere. Normally I wouldn’t be compelled to write a review about a fast food joint. However, this one is particularly horrible. I’ve only been here twice I think, both times I have not had good experiences. I don’t believe I am some statistical outlier that just has an awful time, especially when I see the reviews below me. The first time I came here, the staff was extremely unprofessional. Didn’t take my order because they were too busy talking to each other about gossip and plans after work. Then when they did come to the counter to take the order, they acted as though I was bothering them. I’m sorry for giving you a tiny bit of job security by ordering food and paying with money, you know the thing that ensures you get paid. Second time, I went through the drive through with my kids after a long day and they were«staaaarving».(lol) we get through the window and my husband orders 3 number 1’s and over the speaker a worker goes«damn! 3 number 1’s». Oh I’m sorry we have 5 people in the car and 3 of them want a number 1 at the place you work. What? We didn’t say anything, but thought it was rude. I ordered a bacon and cheese potato and moved to the next window. They told us to pull up and made us sit for 30 mins. The woman who took my order comes out and says they don’t have potatoes and asked if we wanted anything else. I guess it took 30 mins to decide they don’t have potatoes. We said no because it’s my policy not to change my order after having issues because I don’t trust what could have happened to it by the time they fix the issue. So we told her the money back would be fine. She goes inside for another 10 minutes, and a manager comes out. She asked why we wanted a refund. We told her because we didn’t receive the item. She proceeds to try to convince us we want something else. We told her no, we are okay, a refund is fine. After 40 mins total we get the rest of our food, which is cold, and the $ 2 for the potato and«free chili» we didn’t ask for. I won’t be back. Not that I’m upset at all. I don’t really like fast food anyway. 40 minutes and cold food isn’t really fast or worth it either.

A customer came to return a frosty and I watched them put the returned frosty on my tray. In addition to that being potentially unsanitary, It was a kid’s size and I ordered a small. They gave me the wrong sauce for my nuggets and normal nuggets instead of spicy. Food was ok

I’ve lived near here for 9 years and was hopeful that the recent closing and remodel would bring better service. Wrong. I’ve never once had an order come out correct from this place. We call it «the Worst Wendy’s in the World.» That said, the food tastes like Wendy’s. If you like that, it will be fine, as long as you like whatever item they give you instead of what you ordered.

Brand new Wendy’s, and ridiculously horrible. I want to point out, that I understand this is Wendy’s, not Alinea, but there’s a reason the Taco Bell in Lincoln Park is one of the highest rated restaurants in the city. 1. The only one in line, I was ignored for a few minutes and stood there while, who seems like the manager, was joking around with the staff. 2. Unprofessional staff. I sat down to eat my food and it seemed like the only thing I could hear was yelling from behind the counter to each other… About everything but the food. 3. Disgusting food. The food was COLD. The chicken sandwich, rubbery, and the cheese on the burger wasn’t even melted. Disgusting. 4. This Wendy’s is in one of the best areas to live in Chicago, and not attracting anyone from the hood. I will NOT be back for anything but a Frosty… How would you screw that up? I’m sure they’d find a way. This location got an overhaul, but need to hire a staff that actually cares… About customers, and the product. Sorry Wendy’s.

Had a very sub par experience at this«new» Wendy’s. The Jr bacon cheeseburger only had 1 small piece of bacon. bunk city. Didn’t give us one of our fries. 2 stars because the frosty was awesome

AVOIDDRIVETHRU! I love Wendy’s! But this location seriously sucks! My BF and I ordered $ 20 worth of food and I honestly don’t know why it was that much, plus we didn’t even get a receipt! We were very hungry so when they asked us to pull to the side and someone would bring the order out, we didn’t mind. But when we were waiting for 10 minutes and all the cars behind us were driving off! I knew something was wrong! Well long story short our order was completely wrong the guy had to go back 2 times because they forgot our drinks and nuggets and I got plain instead of spicy! Which is what I ordered. Ugh Honestly worst fast food experience yet!

New location design. Same bad drive thru service with employees that don’t care and constantly give you the wrong order. Like Joe Pesci says in Lethal Weapon 2…“they f@ck you at the drive thru and this Wendy’s is no different. wish it was an Arby’s instead.

Wow, it seems I wasn’t the only poor schmuck who was caught in the throes of the poor customer service here. Normally, I don’t eat fast food, but decided to pop in there for a quick bite after just missing the Division bus. It would be another 20 minutes before the next one came. At most fast food joints at 9pm, 20 minutes would allow plenty of time to get my food or even eat it inside. I was horribly mistaken. Obviously, the staff had priorities other than their one job. So sorry to intrude! It was a struggle to get them to take my order. Whether it was flirting with the customers or talking amongst themselves, my crispy chicken sandwich and side order of fries was the last thing on their list. The cashiers need to speak up! They were barely audible. Fortunately, there isn’t much discussion involved with ordering food. Anyway, after 20 minutes, I grab my bag and sprint to the bus. Overall, the quality of the food wasn’t bad. It was what I would expect from Wendy’s. Sadly, that was the only perk. I asked for a 4 piece nugget meal and fries. I was told to wait to the side because they needed to make my fries. When I received my meal all I received was 1 nugget and cold fries. In addition, when I was waiting for my meal a few men said Derogatory statements towards me. I feel as if this was all related. There is no need for this type of service. Luckily there are several alternatives in the city. This is a very low class establishment that I wouldn’t recommend to anybody.

After a long day of errands with my children we decided to get a fast bite. We all decided Wendy’s was the place to go. The best thing about the place was the ample parking. I should’ve known better, if the lot is empty then something is not right. We walk in and there obviously is no line. I order 2 kids cheeseburger meals with chocolate milk and apple slices, and a pretzel burger with a baked potato. They have no baked potato. Bummer. No biggie, I quickly bounce back and order a side salad. This is when things start to fall apart for us. I see the cashier putting out food together and she grabs juices for my kids, I remind her that I ordered chocolate milk and she throws the juices in the fridge and plops the milks on the tray with attitude. Then she goes on to put fried in their bags, I kindly remind her(and yes I was kind) that we wanted apples. This is when she lost it. She scoffed and went to the back to get the apples. She took more time getting the apples than the order getting filled did. So finally I get my apples and my receipt where it clearly stated, apples and chocolate milk. Lol I’m still not too upset because I’m hungry and my kiddos are happy. They pick the table and I realize the table is filthy. I look around and it dawns on me that all the other tables are 10 times worse. The whole time I’m thinking I should’ve just cooked. I seriously did not want to feed my kids the food in fear that we would get sick, luckily we didn’t. I have never in my life cleaned my kid’s hands after a meal in fear of them getting sick from the environment. I still love Wendy’s but I have no love for this atrocious location.

This Wendy’s was packed and very slow when I visited. The accessory area wasn’t stocked and looked rather messy. It took over 10 minutes for me to get my food, and it was fine, but seriously. If I’m at a Wendy’s midday, it’s because I want fast food. I’ve had take out at restaurants that were much quicker.

omg. I cannot believe i’m writing a review for a ‘Wendy’s’, but this place is THEWORST for customer service. RUDERUDERUDE. If you patron this location, you feel as if it is the customers fault that those who work there, have to work there. These girls– bc its always the girls– are horrible,. Rude when taking your order, rude giving you your food, and even ruder when you have to take it back bc– lo and behold– they get your order wrong! Even when I called to complain someone who is clearly not the manager, claimed and maintained that she was the manager, even after refusing to give me her full name. I hope this place closes down and something worth while moves in. The ‘employees’ clearly aren’t trained right, or they just don’t give a shi*. I wish there was a zero star option.

Was hungry and so where the kids and there is no McDonald around here so I decided to come inside to dine in. Big mistake. Two stars only because the food was still up to Wendy standards. But if not I would give them one for the service. The staff just didn’t seem to care about taking care of any customers and too worried about the drama going on between themselves. After 30 minutes of waiting to order my food I finally sat down only to realize the forgot to give me barbecue sauce and my daughters toy!!! Never again will I come back to this location.

As a kid, I loved Wendy’s. Maybe times have changed since the 80’s. Maybe this is just one of the worst Wendy’s in the country. I’ve been here a few times, usually in conjunction with a return home on the blue line. I ate here today which was probably two years since my last visit. Now I remember, the LAST time I was here, I said«never again» … guess I forgot, and now I regret it. The food, even by fast food standards, was gross. Two COLD Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers. Two registers, I wait at one for a couple minutes, my presence is seen by many, yet only the other register(hidden by the coke machine) is open. Finally someone else gets in line and goes straight to the open one… anyway, most of this review is pointless. Ghetto, dirty, slow, and unfriendly.

I had not had a Wendy’s sandwich for an extremely long time so what the heck? You never can go wrong ordering off of the $ 1 menu. Crispy Chicken Sandwich — good. Fries — good. Speed of ordering and food pick up — good. Cleanliness of dining room — good. Cleanliness of restroom — bad. I’m sure I will stop in again if I’m in Wicker Park area.
