Pretty good bar and grill. Good atmosphere. Individual TVs at booths. Food is pretty good, not great. Found it strange how the bacon fries are apparently vegetarian. This is so because the«bacon» is really a seasoning that kind of tastes like a funky BBQ chip seasoning. I would stick with the regular in the future. Price is pretty reasonable and standard for bar and grill.

My buddies love to come here to watch Hawks games all the time. It’s a bit out of the way and not really special enough for me to make the trek there. The bar has tons of flat screen tvs, and even some tvs at the booths. The wings I had were solid, and the staff was friendly offering a good beer list. West End is part of the wave of higher end sports bars which isn’t really my thing, but think that it’s a good spot to catch a game if that’s your thing.

The obese Hawaiian in charge??? of security ruined a perfectly good place for me. Relax guy, sitting in the dj booth pointing your little flashlight on tables randomly does not transform your situation into the presidential security detail. Finish up your degree at Devry and get back to the kitchen where you do not have to interact with customers.

Are those pickles on my pizza? Yes. The Italian Beef pizza is literally an Italian Beef on a pizza. And it’s awesome. «Jumbo» wings weren’t so jumbo. They were pretty normal wings, and for $ 9, definitely not worth it. They had a drink special going during the NFL playoff games that was 22oz of Coors Light, Miller Light or Labatt for $ 6 which was a decent deal. Other beer choices on draft were ok. Overall, the food’s kind of expensive, the bartenders aren’t that friendly(or attractive), but at least the beer is cold.

We went to West End for the first time on New Year’s Eve and were pleasantly surprised. We have lived in the West Loop for a few years now, but rarely venture down that way, but at the last minute we needed to make New Year’s plans and they were one of the only places with tickets still available. I’m a new fan! Why haven’t we been going here all along? We have been to some of the other Four Corners bars like Sidebar and Kirkwood’s and have always enjoyed them so it made sense. The bar has a great setup, isn’t crazy crowded, and the crowd seemed to be mostly young professionals and locals from the neighborhood, which was ideal for NYE when most of the downtown bars are packed with tourists. We had a great time and are looking forward to checking out West End on a regular evening!

If it wasn’t for the mozzarella pizza pretzel, this place would get a 1 star. So let me start with that… it was freakin’ delicious. We were splitting the appetizer and I pulled one of those moves where I keep eating the same one while trying to make it look like I was tasting the others. The other two on the combo platter were nothing special, but that pizza one… damn, I could have another right now. Now the bad. We went there for an after-work beer and dinner. The place was pretty packed so we sat at the bar and got our drinks and menus right away. Food came quickly, but they brought the appetizer with the dinner… why? Then it got a little weird. One of the orders was a southwest salad with dressing on the side. When they brought the salad we didn’t notice it was drenched in dressing, so we didn’t say anything right away. When we finally brought it up, the bartender/amateur waitress said, «You did get your dressing on the side.» I was a little thrown off by this and responded that the order was to have all the dressing on the side, not blanketing the salad. So here is the best part, her response to that was, «Oh, that isn’t dressing. That is the stuff the chicken is cooked in.» No really, that is exactly what she said when you could clearly see that it was dressing. So the salad sat there and they never said anything about it or asked if they could do anything about it. Just took it away after a while and that was it. So ridiculous.

I went to this place after the Blackhawks game on New Year’s Eve. I thought the place was great. The staff was nice even though there were plenty of slurred words among many in the crowd and there were enough servers on hand so there wasn’t a lot of waiting for refills. There was definitely a good vibe in the place. What I thought was super cool was that they didn’t charge any sort of cover for our wayward band of fans without reservations on New Years Eve. They easily could have charged us and we would have paid. This is definitely a good spot before or after a Hawks game.

Good venue for watching games with friends that also have interesting things to say. Widescreens on every wall, and while it does get rowdy, it doesn’t get too loud. I’ve been a couple times and the crowd has always been young and friendly. Staff are upbeat and courteous. The best part is the food, the pizza particularly. Way better than your average bar food.

This place usually has a pretty good crowd but isn’t obnoxiously packed. The food is good – anything from wraps to wings– and the drink selection is pretty decent too. It’s a great place to check out the football games on Sundays. There are plenty of TVs showing all the games so that you don’t miss any of the action. You even have a chance to win«shots-n-tots»(tater-tots and the manager’s choice of shots if you win) and other crazy prizes for your table at half-time and throughout the games. All the staff is great – nice, friendly, fun to be around

Had a blast here with some friends this past weekend. It was following a Hawks game and the place was full. The DJ was so fabulous– and he will play whatever you ask him to! We danced in the aisles near our table and loved it! One of the managers came over to chat us up, and he was super cool. The female bartenders were friendly to us girls, which us rare. They were not your typical«I’m so hot cuz I’m an attractive female bartender in a tight shirt» girls. They were more down to earth. Also– the drinks were nice and strong. Of course they were expensive– that’s how cocktails go when you’re in the city. Great vibe to this place. Easy to get a cab afterwards out front. Great music. Lots of sports on the televisions. Mixed-age crowd. It was perfect!
