The problem with our garage door was that the Remote opener was inconsistently working. It would stop workinging for a day at a time, so we called. We initially called on a Friday and were told we would be called back the following Monday to set up a time window for an appointment. Well Monday came, and something came up, on our end, so we called to cancel and said we would call at a later date to reschedule. Well, 4 hours later a man just showed up at our house. So clearly communication is one issue with them. So while I quickly got both cars out of the garage and dealt with street cleaning parking in the neighborhood. The guy who showed up was playing with the opener, and there was no problem, door went up and down with the corresponding pushes of the button. He wiped a paper towel accross the track, and said its may be just an old system and said the one part of the safety system was unplugged saying if one end is unplugged, the remote won’t work ATALL. Which made no sense, because if that kept the remote from working, how come it would work for a month or 2 at a time and just go out for 1 day at a time? I even brought that up to him and he just shrugged his shoulders. And $ 135 later I feel ripped off. If you’re going to call them, make sure it’s something major, and dont let them work when you’re not around. The supposedly unplugged safety system was discovered while I was moving the cars, so I question if that was even an issue. I personally will not call them any more, and would recomend others do the same.

Door had gotten off-track and was stuck because one cable had come off door. Repairman advised he had replaced one roller and lubricated door, but had not lubricated screw-type door opener, which was squeaky and sounded as though it was near death. Instead, repairman advised the garage door opener would need replacement within a couple of years and said the cost to replace it would be $ 500. I lubricated the opener myself with a tube of door opener lube and the unit works silently and well as a result. Wm. H. Wood repairman must have known he should have lubricated opener, but instead assumed I would replace it using his services and in so doing, replace a perfectly functional opener that merely needed grease. I do NOT appreciate this business model.
