Best carne asada burrito in town. I wish I could review the other items they have in their selection but I love this burrito too much to try something new. Extremely friendly staff and very quick service. If you’re looking for good food, cheap prices, quick and friendly service, this is the place to be.

Best Mexican food I’ve ever had, hands down! They’re open late and the food is made right there in front of you. The tortas are amazing and you can’t beat tacos covered with cilantro and lime juice! Just remember to bring cash because the ATM machine is weird.

I really like the burritos here. The grande burrito is big enough for two meals; eat half now and save the other half for another meal later! Aca Taco makes you order first, then wait fir your order. I prefer the experience at Chipotle where they make your order as you wait in line and the ask you your preferences along the way and pay at the end. At Aca, you have to know all the options up-front when you order, and the staff is not very forthcoming about the choices.

One of the better places in Chico for street tacos. Didn’t get the fifth star from me because they messed up my order once and they weren’t that great about fixing it.

Aca Taco is my one of my favorites. Burritos are delicious. My bf gets the chicken bowl with black beans instead of refried and tacos. They usually are pretty generous with there portions, more so than the one downtown. There late night hours save a lot of lives. Chicken nachos are good, really good drunk munchies and easy to split with friends. I have been a regular since 2004. There’s good taco trucks in Chico but I love me some Aca Taco. I do agree with everyone else though on the fact that this is 2015. They need to step up there ATM situation… Between there ATM charge and the bank charge it’s kind of insane. Only makes sense late night when drunk kids may use a card knowing there’s no money on it because there drunk hungry and irresponsible.

I love this place! I grew up in the area and have been coming here since I was a kid. I have traveled up and down the state, but these burritos just can’t be beat. ¡Nada como el sazón costeño!

The food is ALRIGHT, is pricey for what you’re getting, and the service blows. I am CLEARLY a Latina and they were talking about me when I was at their little weird ATM(take cash by the way). I only went because it was late, I didn’t appreciate the service so I doubt I’ll be going back.

Horrible nachos! Didn’t even come with salsa or cheese. Last review, last time I ever go there.

One star due to being cash only. In this day and age the only places that are cash only make you wonder — even food trucks now take cards via phone/tablet card readers. Also their ATM fee is ridiculous. If it’s cash only make the ATM fee free or $.50. Cannot be more disappointed with such a simple thing as not taking credit card for whatever reason as this place is good — if you have cash. You lose more business not accepting credit cards than you ever gain trying to avoid their fees.

The food is so good here. Very fresh. Nachos Aca taco is my favorite thing. To get. Their food is so good you don’t even need sauces or anything.

Very delicious. Good prices. Nice customer service. I will continue to come here. I always the the carne asada, fajitas, and al pastor. Sometimes I get the pollo asada. Everything is really delicious here.

My boyfriend showed me this place and I agree it’s great food !!! love the burritos and the taco And for the price it’s great!! the only bad side is I use credit cards and hardly carry cash and hate the inconvenience of the little atm they have there. Other than that great place

I don’t eat Mexican food. Only burritos. I’ve tried a lot of burritos before, but I can tell you that they have the best. You’ll enjoy for sure! A little expensive though, but it’s worth it.

I’ve always loved Ava tacos burritos. Their meat has good flavor and the veggies are always fresh. Recently, we found out they make breakfast burritos until 11 am. They have many options… steak, chorizo, bacon, etc. we’ve tried the steak and the bacon. They have meat, eggs, beans, cheese, salsa and the steak also had grilled onions. They are huge and DELICIOUS! They use real fresh cracked eggs and cook it right there to order. I had the bacon and she took a handful of fresh bacon, put it on the grill to cook and then mixed in the eggs. The flavor permeated through the burrito. I also added sour cream and Guac(which was essentially fresh avocado) and it was so good! All for about $ 5.50 each. The only way these could be better is if there was some sort of potato inside! Mmmmm…

Literally just came from there and took my food home, and the order wasn’t correct, I asked for sour cream instead of guacamole, But they gave it to me anyway, IMALLERGICTOGUACAMOLE! so I called them to let them know and whoever it was that answered the phone was beyond rude, he was like«well what do you want then!??» In a sarcastic condescending tone. I then said«nothing I guess!» And hung up. Terrible customer service, AND start taking debit cards, it’s 2015! You know how much more business you you’ll get? F$&@ the 45 cent fee and jus deal with it! My friend got subway and I should have listened…

I came here on a Sunday morning for a recovery meal. I ordered an Al pastor burrito to go. The pork was fantastic and made its presence known with a saucy and full flavor. It had a good proportion of ingredients and well balanced. Yet its been hit or miss ever since. The place is clean and well maintained. You get the feeling and assurance that they know what they are doing. Staff is friendly and helpful. The food is always ready pretty quickly. Be sure to add an 8 oz salsa because it rocks. Avoid the $ 1.50 visa charge and 5% size increase between chico and grande portion. And lets be real, its a $ 1.50 visa charge, not an ATM because it redirects you straight back to the register you came from. When a standard visa charge is 30 cents tops, this kind of a business behavior is a joke, and I shame the owners for operating this way. OveralI I want to love Aca Taco, I really do, but the lack of consistency and value just keeps me on the prowl for better tacos joints with more to offer.

There are 2 locations in Chico. One in downtown and this fine gem on Nord Ave. I don’t eat on this side of town as much because let’s face it, nord Ave is shady. BUT for a late night Mexican food craving this place hit the spot! First off they are open until 3 am on Saturday! Thank god more than just bars are open. We ate the Nacho Special I think it was called and it was $ 6.50, came with guacamole, cheese, choice of meat, cilantro and sour cream.. . Bomb! And we ordered 2 mini tacos for $ 1.25 each. They only accept cash, go figure! But they do have an ATM machine inside. Customer service was EXCELLENT and the food was delicious and fresh. I will start coming here more often. Can’t beat the price and quality of Mexican food this good close to mi casa! :)
