As a photographic artist listed in their wonderful Gallery I appreciate the warm and loving atmosphere along with the great art displayed in their Gallery. I can’t speak higher of this business.

Art Etc. is my go-​to frame shop for all my projects. I have never been disappointed. I used to frame my own, then I discovered that I could get my pieces framed less expensively and with the care and quality that I expect.
Anna and Dave have created a unique space, blending select local art pieces, framing services, and art classes. They are so warm and friendly, one never feels uncomfortable getting advice from these two talented individuals. They truly care about the Chico art community — and it shows…

I wrote a very nice review and it was filtered — so here is one that just can’t say as much as I’d like to. Is this Ok, Unilocal?
Completely agree with other reviews to date. I am not an inherent «art lover» and don’t often visit galleries or shops for fun. That being said:
Dave and Anna are simply amazing and have created a great nest of really tangible art. It feels like they have done a great job of making art tangible. Our framing has come almost exclusively through Art, Etc, so it is easy for them to match new frames to our old ones. If I couldn’t get it from Art, Etc I likely wouldn’t have much on my walls.
Bottom Line: Go here! If you need a nice (little?) piece of art as a gift or for house décor, or need great looking custom framing for a fair price, or like local Chico shops that have shop dogs, or don’t know much about Art & don’t want to feel judged.

I love this place! Anna and Dave Simcox have always been super nice, and very accommodating as far as material costs go. I have a few pieces hanging in my home framed at Art Etc, and they’re complemented far more than I would expect a frame to be complimented :)… Overall, a very «Chico» family-​run place which deserves your patronage.
Plus there’s a sweet old collie dog to say hello to when browsing art!

I have done occasional design work in San Francisco for local bars, and I brought 6 limited edition prints and 1 original to be framed here, most of which are now hanging happily in a swanky little bar and lounge in San Francisco called ChurchKey.
Why would I bring my artwork 180 miles away to get framed? Well, for one thing, it’s A LOT cheaper. For two, I had happened to see a few art pieces by Dave Simcox (one of the Art Etc owners) and wanted to inquire about possibly using his art in a few locations in the Bay.
Dave and John couldn’t have made things easier for me. I generally don’t have the desire to look through matte board or frame options, so I pretty much told them «Don’t make them expensive, but don’t make them look cheap, either.» I know, great direction, right?
But they got it. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome, and the owner of the bar feels the same. They were able to use repurposed wood for the frames to save me a few bucks without skimping on the quality, and I get to boast that we made a slightly nore eco-​conscious choice. I am definitely coming to them in the future for framing.
Also, just a side note… I’ve heard those commercials on NPR claiming that Chico Paper Company is the oldest framer in town. Actually Art Etc. has been around longer. It’s not a big deal, it’s just the facts.

Art Etc is a great place to get your custom framing needs done. They work with every budget to come up with the best possible frame for your art and photos. It is also home to some very fine artists such as Dave Simcox.
Art Etc also has an art classroom in the back, Art-​E-​Studio. Kids and adults learn the fine art of oil and acrylic painting.
