TOMFOOLERY

One of the best stores in Chico! A great place to find gifts for just about anybody. They have a great handbag/​wallet/​briefcase selection. I love Hobo, which they carry. They also have hats, accessories, jewelry, games, and gag gifts. They have some great luggage as well as just about anything else you will need to travel. I love this store! ;)

I thought this store was mostly novelties and gifts, but it’s much more. They have unique, quality clothing, upscale gifts, and just a lot of things I didn’t expect. And they gave me a free wallet insert! I found a really cushy shirt with unique fabric that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Whoever the buyer is has a good eye!

This store has a lot of neat quirky items but I was very turned off by the unfriendly staff. When I was making my purchase I brought it to her attention that she undercharged me. She corrected the price and never even said thank you. Very unfriendly.

Cute store. Tons of different gift options. Staff is well just average but the store is super cute.

I had never been in the store but after yesterday’s interaction with the clerk I’ll never go back. She was very condescending and treated me like I was an idiot when I unzipped a purse and started to zip it back up. Totally lame. Also, everything is overpriced! I searched the interwebs for the same items I was looking at and found them for a much lower price. I’m all about shopping local but not when I’m treated like a twat.

Went in today to exchange a wallet that my wife had bought (sorry, honey). The exchange was easy and the wallet I received was high quality. The lady that helped me was very kind to me and my baby girl that was with me and very helpful. I’d gladly return there.

If you’re in Chico, make a point to stop by this wonderful store. There’s always something you’ll like and amazing customer service by the staff who are positive and happy that you’re there. Great gift store for that hard to shop for person too.

Tom Foolery has excellent service. The ladies are so nice. They have a wide array of goods from exquisite leather purses, men’s attire, travel merchandise and gag gifts. I went in during the holidays and the lady who helped me was the sweetest, she was so personable. I walked in there for a scarf and walked out with much more. Thank you Tom Foolery.

I found a cute hat on sale and the staff was very friendly.
Only negative is some of the items seemed over priced, but you can get some really good deals of you are selective.

I had an amazing time last night at TOMFOOLERY and the 3^rd Street Harvest Celebration. The helpful staff at TOMFOOLERY, namely Jen, showed me some beautiful Hobo items that I was looking for. I was also surprised at the amount of fun, trendy and funky jewelry that they have there. I would suggest this store to anyone looking for a high quality gift for any adult in their life!

After patronizing Tom Foolery many times alone and with friends, I’m very disappointed to say I won’t be returning. Until last week I had been treated well by employees and had the pleasure of meeting the seamstress upstairs who was also very friendly. Naturally when I needed a polo altered, I went to see Milena.
Unfortunately on this day Milena wasn’t in, but a very rude blond woman was working downstairs. She was unhelpful, condescending, and positively made it clear my companion and I weren’t welcome. We left confused as to what offended this woman, and decided to return later to hopefully catch the seamstress.
Upon returning 20 – 30 minutes later, we were treated in the same fashion, although this time the woman didn’t bother to look up from her lunch to bark «I told you forty minutes. Has it been forty minutes? no. It’s been twenty». I guess it hadn’t. And I guessed that was our dismissal because she managed to convey annoyance and disgust while not bothering to acknowledge us as people, much less customers. Very skilled woman, this one. Her message was clear as a bell, and while treating people like this may be accepted when lamenting about «crazy looking» young people on the golf course, it’s absolutely not acceptable in customer service.

After the last service I got their I am bumping it to 5 STARS.

This is a great place to find that quirky gift or something a little more fancy for a special occasion. They have a nice selection of quality handbags, hats, watches, wallets, pens, etc. Lots of stuff to potentially buy. There’s also a joke/​gag store section toward the back which is always fun.
