The burgers are awesome onion rings to die for the service is good they even serve beer now for only $ 3 a bottle phenomenal! But for some unknown reason the owner decided that he doesn’t give bags out to customers to carry their food out so I had a large to-go order pound burger cut in half, a second container with all the condiments in it and a third bag full of onion rings and the bun wrapprd separately(the friend I was going 2 share the huge pound burger with cant eat gluten). so I’ve got four items I need 2 carry out, I asked him for a bag he says they don’t have bags anymore! so I’m trying to carry the stuff to the parking lot, they can see I’ve got my hands full but they don’t come over and to open the door for me & I don’t have time to make multiple trips, on the second trip as I’m stepping down the curb I get bumped into by some kid coming into the restaurant and boom my food goes all over the parking lot! WTF, you want A5 star review for me spend the $ 0.02 per customer and provide them with bags! Who is the idiot running this restaurant? I spent $ 20 on food that’s smeared all over their parking lot, I go back in and tell the people behind the counter my food’s all over the parking lot they look at me with these blank stares no offer to help no offer to make me new food just look at me like they’re literally devoid of any kind of intelligence I just walked out kick my food all over the parking lot. got in my car and left! I will never eat there again! all because obviously it’s not worth my business to provide me a $ 0.02 bag to carry my food out

One of the best(affordable) burgers in town. Large fry to go is plenty to share between others. Condiments are fresh and love the deep fried jalapeños to top the burgers. The bun completes the package as it is certainly the best in town(i belive backed locally). If tour looking for something similar to Burger Hut, make the trek over to Big Chico Burger and you will not be disappointed.

Synopsis: An ok burger. Condiment bar allows you to build it yourself. Fries were plentiful and there was ample picnic bench seating inside and out. Full review: The Big Chico Burger is a popular place located right across the street from the high school. We were fortunate that school was on vacation, otherwise I could see how this place could easily be overrun with teenagers. Parking was scarce however. A very small lot considering the lunchtime crowd we witnessed. Food was good if a bit overcooked. I would have preferred a larger more diverse condiment bar. This is a built your own hamburger bar after all so there should be more than the standard offerings to make it a stand out burger joint. My issue with the place had to do with the owner’s policy regarding service animals. When we entered, the cashier asked us for our clearly identified service dog’s «certification». This is a clear violation of the ADA laws regarding medical service dogs. According to FEDERAL laws a medical service animal must be granted all access and you cannot ask anything other than the two allowed questions of the handler. I suspect the owner is mistaking the rules for therapy dogs which is totally different. Therapy dogs are not granted full access to eating establishments so the owner may well be within their rights to require certification if they allow them at all. The owner’s requirement to produce a ‘certificate’ to enter is going to fetch him a fat lawsuit from the ADA. The dining area is full accessible but as previously mentioned the seating is entirely picnic tables so that makes for a bit of difficulty with wheelchairs.

Pretty good food. Not the best burgers but definitely good, and on a good day the fris can taste amazing. On the bad days the fries aren’t as fresh, kind of limpy. What I love the most is the fried jalapenos that they have, I add them to everything or even just order them alone! The condiment bar is fresh and clean and well maintained. Tip: during school days avoid going there when you know the schools lunch time is, tons of the students eat here since its so close by.

I feel that Big Chico Burger, overall, does a great job for what they offer. I have had bad experiences with hamburgers before – so bad I didn’t eat any ground beef for two years – and I have always had great burgers here. They use quality products and all of the ingredients have been fresh. Great place to stop on your way to or from Upper Park if you want a quick bite to eat! Oh, and their garden burgers are good too!

Got the 1 pounder for the first time and it was great. I fixed it the way i like it and they wrapped it up togo. Thay gave me some take home containers for the fry sauce. I am going to get the 1 pounder next time i go.

Ummm… didn’t leave pissed or dissatisfied… think maybe I had to approach the counter once… no biggie though. Burger and fries didn’t seem any bigger or better than anywhere else for sure!

Great burger! Not the cheapest but my favorite burger joint in town! Has a great student special and soft serve along with some great fries and milk shakes. Their french fry plate is amazing and perfect for a group of friends.

Their truck at the farmer’s market has a great burger and fries combo! My favorite thing was the bun it made the burger stand out. Oddly, the toppings were under the burger instead of on top. It was pretty good.

Big Chico burger is always on point! The veggies you add on are always fresh. The fries are always fresh and delicious as well. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is nice and friendly. The only thing I was bummed out about was that the bacon I added to my burger was burnt. Everything else was great tho!

I am new the to the area and have lived close by this place and finally after a few months, my wife and I decided to give this place a try. While we were placing our order, one of the two grill girls were staring off into space and i couldnt help to notice her deep ear digging with her finger. Gross! Fortunately it was not her cooking our burgers, very unfortunate for the person she was cooking for. Burgers were very average, a little too done for my taste. In my opinion way over priced for what it is. PRICEY!!!

You know the feeling you get out of you come out of the class room with the first exam of the year and its a big fat red F? Thats kind of what I felt like coming out of Big Chico Burger this afternoon. The juicy burger is similar to the kind your dad used to make over the grill when you were young… if your dad was Bobby Flay. Also, the portions they serve are HUGE. Only the hulk could take a significant bite out of that huge burger. However, the prices beyond outrageous. $ 16 for a burger combo with a milk shake? Your better off spending less at In N Out or Burger Hut. The milk shake was large, but you know what they say, quality over quantity. It was very watery and tasted like only ice cream. You think with all that money your spending that you would have the food taken to your table, but they make you get it yourself. The cashier was chatting with his coworker the whole time, so it was hard to get his attention. All in all, juicy, but very overpriced burgers with customer service and parking selection that will drive you away after one visit.

I discovered this place through pocketpoints a few weeks ago and I am already a loyal fan. It’s all about the chipotle sauce… SOOODANK!

First time coming here and unfortunately it will be the last. Ordered 2 combos and spent about 25 bucks or so… the guacamole was pretty good but the bacon burger I received had burnt bacon on(the madness right?). We had asked for the burgers to be well-done, but one was unevenly cooked and mine turned out to be almost raw inside and burnt on the outside. The fries are a good portion but fries are fries, it’s kind of hard to screw that up in my eyes. The salad bar and décor was good for being a burger joint but the workers weren’t very friendly and seemed to be just… blah. I just think for almost 25 bucks I should at least get my burger cooked right. I’m so bummed because the flavor wasn’t half bad… and I’m starving still so yes I’m upset lol.

Just returned home from here, and even though we only live a few minutes up the road I already feel sick. My husband and I wanted to try a new burger place, and since it’s been YEARS since coming here, it was pretty much new to me because I had only been here one time previously. I remember my friend raving about this place, so we went here instead of Burger Hut. I greatly regret that decision(though I haven’t been there in years either, so, it might have been as much of a let down as Big Chico, too). We both got the same thing — garden burger with grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, and Swiss cheese on a wheat bun. First thing I noticed is that the bun wasn’t toasted. I thought that was pretty much a given at restaurants to toast the buns? Not only was it not toasted, it was dense and moist and grossed me out, so I took the bun off and just wrapped the rest of the burger in lettuce leaves. The grilled onions were so unappealing, soggy, floppy, and bland I scraped them all off. Gross. The Swiss cheese tasted nothing like Swiss cheese. It was freakishly white and had a weird consistency that made me nauseated. Then we ordered the seasoned fries, not knowing they’re CRISSCUT fries(why don’t they just call them that?!), and they were terrible as well. Had no seasoned flavor even after I added copious amounts of seasoned salt, some were green(ew!), and were just a bad end to my meal. My friends say they have never had a bad experience here, but maybe we just ordered all of the wrong items? I love my friends and trust their opinions, but I won’t give this place another chance again. Pricey, too, considering everything.

Burgers were good: but this place for a family of 5 for Burgers, Fries and a Drink was close to $ 40. They«get ya» by adding on additional toppings such as grilled onions, mushrooms, cheeses, bacon for an «extra price». The topping bar was nice as you can add your own lettuce, tomato, onion and their«secret sauce» as well as BBQ sauce. I can say«we’ve experienced it» being new to the area but, I’m thinking I would rather just do «In and Out».Or try out Nobby(their huge burger) for the $$ Won’t be back! To Expensive

I have to defer to Steve C. and his review 100% on this one. Oh, and I didn’t even know they served ice cream. If i want ice cream i’ll go to Baskin Robbins. When I want a great tasting giant burger this is where it’s at. Nothing more to say.
