I was prepared to buy a pair of $ 170 Blundstone boots on Saturday. After I noticed a blemish in the stitching I asked the sales associate if he was willing to discount the boot. He advised it wasn’t his decision and the owner wasn’t there. I asked if he wanted to call the owner and was advised there was no way of contacting them. Too bad! The store lost a sale and I bought them ten minutes later from Zappos. I tried to support local but sometimes the locals don’t support their customers.

I have feet that are problematic and it is not easy for me to find shoes that offer excellent support that are fashionable. For a small store they have a great collection of shoes that fit these requirements. The staff is very well informed and I have always been treated courteously. I pop in quite often without making a purchase and they are always welcoming.

Just had the worst shopping experience of my life. I asked the clerks if I could bring my dog in with me while I shopped for my mom for mothers day– to which they replied, «yes.» While I was trying to ask my mom(on the phone) her shoe size and looked at the store’s options, I decided to give my very hot and exhausted dog water from a cup I had brought with me, which she ended up spilling. The whole time we were in the store, the clerks were complaining and making rude comments about how«disgusting» she was, and how«terrible» her behavior was, and other comments insinuating she has not been trained/had bad behavior. I tried to the best of my ability to clean up the ice that I could, and then had my friend ask the clerk if they had a towel to clean up the rest. Again, the clerks were rude throughout, exhibiting eye rolling and more complaints. Ultimately, we got kicked out of the store. The point is this: if they had told me «no» when I had asked if I could bring her in, I would have understood and complied, and then come back later. I respect store owner’s decisions in deciding to allow me and my dog access to their store; but because I was treated so poorly in this interaction, the price I’d invest in doing business with this store is no longer worth it. I hope in the future, birkenstock store, if another potential consumer comes in with a dog like I did, that you immediately tell them you don’t want animals in the store(unless that dog is a service animal).

I ran in here during lunch one day and I was the only one in the store. Celeste helped me pick some Birkenstocks, and let me try on 4 or 5 different varieties to make sure I got the perfect fit. She was very helpful and attentive. Overall, the shoes were kind of expensive, but I don’t mind given the level of service and the overall buying experience.
