Ginno’s Appliance installed new built in oven in my kitchen. During the installation they damaged the brand new tile. The install was OK and thte oven works properly. I called them two days after they were finished and the owner refused to believe it happened. I am having the Flooring company replace the tile. Ginno’s is refusing to pay the bill. The owner of the store is blaming it on me. Which is clearly not the case.

Just want to pass on the rip off policy I just got subjected to by Ginno’s in Chico — I was attempting to buy countertops for my kitchen and bath — and gave them a substantial deposit for the work — about a month out from delivery I had to cancel my bath countertops. They informed me I would be paying them $ 350 not to get the bathroom counters — it was supposedly a restocking fee and a freight charge — I contested it — truly do not believe they incurred any expense — negotiated the fee down to $ 289 — which I paid today under protest. Talk about lousy P.R. — I’m a single widow on Social Security and resent the way I was treated. Pass the word on… consumer beware

Ginno’s seems to have difficulty in getting parts in a reasonably fast way even though they charge top dollar for services. We called on a Friday for a not very complicated appliance repair and scheduled an appointment for the following Monday. Estimated time to get parts 3 – 4 days. Actual time about 12 days. As other reviews noted Ginno’s charges $ 70 to diagnose the problem. Their labor charge seems to be at least $ 90/hour. Our total cost close to $ 250.00. Since their repair time estimates are so inaccurate it is unlikely that we will use them again. I’m guessing their repair business is a main revenue stream since we found when looking around for new appliances that they have no evening hours, closing every day at 5:30pm and 4pm on Saturday.

We had a terrible experience. Our dishwasher went out in the brand new home we are living in. Ginnos had done the appliances for the home. 1. When the rep from Ginnos came out he ended up taking the unit because he said, «This thing is fried.» The rep fed the dishwasher hose up from our cabinet and back into the sink so it could drain into the sink and left it that way. He told us that the angle stop was faulty and that he couldn’t get the water to stop running. This left us without hot water in the kitchen. Ginnos also left the garbage disposal disconnected and water drained out into our cabinets. We had a plummer out to address the problem. The angle stop was fine but because the Ginnos rep left the dishwasher supply line connected water was back logging through the faucet and leaking out the supply hose for the dishwasher. All Ginnos had to do was disconnect the dishwasher supply line and reconnect the faucet supply line. The plummer also plugged the garbage disposal so water did not pour out under the sink. 2. We were headed out of town for the weekend when the rep took the dishwasher so we figured not having hot water was no big deal. They would have a new dishwasher for us by Monday right? Wrong. Ginnos had our dishwasher for over a month and left us without hot water. Instead of just replacing the unit Ginnos decided to rebuild the one that was faulty to begin with. To quote the rep, «I had to replace everything in the dishwasher. I even built a new wiring harness becuase we couldn’t get one from GE.» So the $ 800.00 dish washer now has a non OEM wiring harness? Yup. 3. Today the same rep came back to re-install the dishwasher. I was working so I let him do his job. I went out to check and he had left. The dishwasher was installed but it is definitely installed at an angle(so its in crooked) and does not look like it did before. So I am going to have to have it corrected. But beyond him not having the time to do it right(after a month) he apparently didn’t have time to put our things back under the sink because he left them out on the counter. I have gotten better service from the big box stores… Ginnos this is not looking good for you.

We are really happy with the service and products from Ginno’s Appliances. When my mom moved to town this past fall we took her here as soon as they were close to closing escrow on her new place. She ended up getting a washer, dryer and fridge from the good folks at Ginno’s. We also purchases an oven from Ginno’s for our home. My fiancé loves his Electrolux Oven. It really does make«the Perfect Turkey»!!! I can’t say enough about the staff here — Ginno’s is worth going to just to see the difference in customer service. But its not just about that –the quality of the products are top notch and the pricing is affordable! Ginno’s is local and we like that. Please make your first(and last) stop here for appliances, you will not be disappointed!

Do NOT use this service department! It might depend on who they send out, but there is a longer than usual delay in responding and then they try and pad the charges. They are not ‘repair’ men or women at all, they will charge you to come look at the problem, not fix it mind you, then you will have to wait for them to look in a catalog and to order an expensive part that probably isn’t needed. They are in the business of ordering expensive parts and installing the parts, NOT repairing, NOT troubleshooting, NOT supporting customers, just supporting the profit margin. Asking what the problem is, asking the make and model of the appliance BEFORE arriving would likely allow the ‘service’ rep to have the parts needed on hand when they arrive, but then they can’t jack up prices as easily maybe? Anyway– don’t bother.

Tried to go in for a simple Frigidare Dryer part. This part was nothing special and is a very common part. The part even interchanges with many other manufactures. The parts counter clerk would not even to attemp to look up the item because I did not have the model number of the unit but did bring in the damaged part. The unit was only a few years old. Unfortunately the label on the dryer unit does have ware on making it unidentifiable. Once again I need to say this was a simple a part… It was either this or that for my option. Tried shop local but the experience went wrong so went ahead and purchased my part on the Internet. Was sorry to see this lack of enthusiasm for help on a purchase… :(

When you make a service appointment with them to repair any of your appliances make sure you understand they charge $ 69.95 for diagnostic … This does not include the labor charge and the part charge and the taxes. I was not made aware of the diagnostic charge of $ 69.95 when I called for a service appointment on refrigerator/freezer. I have had nothing but problems with this refrigerator/freezer from the day it was installed. It is not Ginno’s problem but the mean vicious manufacturer who could give a care less how they«railroad» their consumers. This is a Kitchen Aide. Most of us are finding appliance manufacturers don’t give a care about their product or customers.

Purchased from Ginno’s a new GE cooktop(Model JGP32WEK2ww) for our kitchen stove in March 2010. Stovetop $ 430, installation $ 225. Installed in about two weeks. In January 2013 one of four burners would not light. Called Ginno’s on 1−21−14. Told part was needed and repair person came on 1 – 31 and we were told another part was needed. Charge on 1−31−14 $ 70. Ginno’s called on 2⁄3 and said part was on order. Cost of second repair visit on 2÷14÷14 Part $ 20, Installation $ 100. Time from initial call to final repair: about Three weeks. Total repair cost $ 190. Suggestion: compare estimates from Sears/Home Depot/Lowes etc. While we generally like to buy from local companies… they may not have faster or comparably priced service. As far as we can tell the work was done competently since the stove burner is now working.

Having bought 5 appliances from Ginno’s in the last 2.5 years, I can say we have not had a bad experience with them. The latest purchase was a stainless side by side refrigerator and there was 1 glitch in the delivery schedule, but the guys were on top of fixing the problem and accommodating our schedule. From the sales team to the receptionists, and the delivery guys too, we’ve had nothing but good experience with them all. We also love the fact that they price match, would rather spend our money at a local store than with the corporate stores!

They are the best in my book. I have bought most, if not all of our appliances here. I just bought a new Microwave. The last one I bought at Ginno’s in 2001 died(10 years of use is good!). When I called Craig to check prices and availability he had a file on the last one I purchased and knew exactly what I needed. Went to the store, looked at a comparable unit. Looked at new models. Bought what I needed at a good price. Paid a small fee to have their installer put it in and take away my old one. They even gave me a «loner» until they could deliver the new appliance. I don’t know if they always do that but at least this time they could. Matt did an excellent job of installation. He removed and replaced the item quickly and cleaned up everything. I’m not a big spender but I always feel treated like one. They do big kitchen remodels and upgrades with top of the line products — they have quite a show room! They will even sell me a small microwave and treat me as if I was doing a full remodel. Amazing. Along with providing an excellent product and service Ginno’s treats their staff well and serve the community. My «go to» place for appliances!
