Klean Kanteen

We ordered 4 Klean Kanteen stainless steel water bottles and 4 stainless steel loop lids from
. We received them in a timely fashion, but one of the loop lids was defective and kept rusting even after following Klean Kanteen’s cleaning instructions.
I filed a warranty claim on Klean Kanteen’s website on April 28^th. I received a response 9 days later, requesting pictures to show proof of the defective product. I sent pictures the same day, May 6^th. On May 27^th, 21 days later, when I had not received a response or replacement product, I called Klean Kanteen and was told to leave a message for the person who handled warranty claims and I would definitely hear a response back that same day. Two days later, May 29^th, after my voice message was not returned, I called again to find out what was going on. I was connected with the person, Katy, who I had been e-​mailing and calling for a month about this warranty issue. She seemed to kind of be laughing at me for expecting a timely response. She explained to me that she as «getting to e-​mails as soon as she could».
**I work for a company in which I handle all warranty/​general customer question e-​mails and I would be fired if I let e-​mails go unaddressed for weeks.
I am finally getting a replacement lid, but after a month of waiting and contacting them only to receive some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life, I do not know if we will order from this company again. This is quite unfortunate because, the non-​defective product we received, we were happy with.

How on earth can there only be one review for the actual Klean Kanteen website?
Anyway — LOVE THEM. You do research on the various «safe» drinking vessels out there (CamelBak, SIGG, LifeFactory, KK, etc.) and only KK and LifeFactory give you copious amounts of information about where they’re constructed, materials, etc. LifeFactory is nice, but it is made of glass, so not as many applications. How can you go wrong with surgical grade STEEL!
Ultimately their product, while not being the cheapest ones around, are durable, long lasting, and completely safe for my kids to drink out of.
I just called them up to ask how I could purchase more of the silicone valves that go into the green sippy lids (so they’re as spill/​drip proof as possible). Sadly some of them went missing or were gobbled up by the garbage disposal. Without any prompting, the rep (Edgar) offered to send me four, free of charge (shipping on their dime). THAT is customer service.
They’ve made a customer for life

We have owned Klean Kanteen cups for awhile. Recently we acquired 2 new kid sport Kanteens from the Easter bunny and they were both leaking pretty bad after several uses, apparently the valve is defective and would pop out after washing. After I contacted customer service they acknowledged the problem and sent me new replacements with the original sport style tops and we are not having issues with the valves any longer yay!
