The fajita salad with steak is really good, and their hot salsa/sauce on it is delicious. My son got a Carne Asada chimichanga and rates it 4 out of 5 stars. We’d return when we’re on this side of town again

Good food. Stopped here with my friend for lunch. Has genuine Mexican food vs Americanized. Plan on returning again. Quick, delicous, inexpensive, good portions.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while. I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and I’ve always been very satisfied. The food is amazing the salsa is my favorite in town! Well, the other evening I came by just to get salsa and chips to go. They wrapped it up nicely for me and the second I walked out the door I dropped the salsa and it went everywhere. They were so nice to me, they cleaned it up, and then gave me a whole new order of salsa and they didn’t charge me. This is a great example of quality service. I will be back for sure!!! Thanks again!

This place is incredibly tasty. I got the pollo asado nachos and my sister got the carne asada tacos and we were both BLOWNAWAY by how delicious our food was. We both grew up eating home made Mexican food and this stuff is the closest(and tastiest) to authentic Mexican that I’ve had in a long time. The service was awesome, and we will definitely be going back for more.

I just tried this place for the first time. It is wonderfully delusion, I had the fajita burrito. So many fabulous flavors and enough for lunch tomorrow. I can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu.

Visited here with family that lives in Chico and I was very pleasantly surprised how good the food was. I had the wet veggie burrito and loved every bite. Homemade tortillas and delicious salsa, and if you want it Hot, they have it. This is as authentic as it gets comparing to some other Mexican restaurants nearby. Affordable for a family of 3($ 22, 3 burritos with drinks) Definitely will be back when we come back to town.

Had the chile relleno plate. Different but super yummy. Their hot salsa is delicious. Everything seemed really fresh. The carnitas in my husbands burrito was really good too.

This place has had a change of hands several times in recent years and up until now has been disappointing. My husband encouraged me to go as in his opinion has had some of the best Mexican food he has ever had. I will agree that it is the best place in Chico for Mexican food. Unfortunately, it is not a restaurant and lacks the ambience of a good eatery. I encourage you to give it a try. They have reasonably priced lunch specials that include a drink.

This place has stayed terrific. Inexpensive, authentic and delicious. Wish more people would update their reviews, thisis so much improved over the first Los Arcos, but the owners still have to overcome a bad rap. If you haven’t been in in the last year or so, visit again and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I walked into Los Arcos looking for a quick bite on that side of town, as I didn’t want fast food or Country Waffles. So I thought I’d give Los Arcos a try. I liked tje restaurant before El Patron, but hadn’t been back since it had changed owners. I walked right up and had to wait for one customer before me to order. It went quick and it was then my turn to order. The guy behind the counter was friendly and prompt. He took my order of a California burrito and a horchata. I was just looking for a meat, rice, cheese, and beans burrito. Didn’t see that the California burrito has fries in it. My bad. So i had to pick them out. The burrito was ok, but the wait was horrendous. For only having one order ahead of me and one that walked in ten minutes behind me, i think a wait of 20 minutes for a burrito is a long time. The horchata was watery too. It was ok, but the wait caused me to almost miss an appointment. I will NOT be coming back here again. For the time it takes, I’ll drive across town and go to Aco Taco. Their burritos and horchata are both better. And cheaper!

my friend ordered the taco salad with steak. and I got chips and guacamole. Well lets say the taco salad was alright she ate half i couldnt stomach the texture of the meat, overcooked, mushy? I am not sure what the deal was. Now the guacamole and chips, ha I dont think I have ever had the grossest dip in my entire life. it was watery(avocados shouldn’t be watery), tasteless and tasted like vomit in my mouth. But the service was nice the gentleman helped us with our order, if we went there to be treated nicely five stars easily but the food was GROSS.

I cant speak for others, but I am a great Mexican food cook and most Mexican places in town are terrible and the food is bland and too americanized. This place has the best carnitas I’ve had so far. The wet burrito was great! It is a casual place, great for lunch!

This place has a good atmosphere the staff really nice and helpful. I had the chimichanga very tasty until I got home first time in years I got sick eating out. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you enjoy food poisoning.

This place is a huge disappointment. I work near by so I gave them a try — 3 times! Each time I ordered a different item off the menu and all 3 times my order was wrong. The chicken is horrible — thick flavorless chunks. The rice was undercooked each time and whatever I asked not to be on my dish was doubled: onions & sour cream galore. Just way too pricey for mediocre food.

Tried this place a few times and it has been unmemorable. Today I found a hair in the salsa… won’t be going back.

A lot if reviewers complain about this place not being authentic Mexican. I think these folks just don’t realize how big Mexico is. Los Arcos is a baja/cabo Mexican food joint. Now, I love going to cabo. It’s a blast. And the food is different than other states & regions in Mexico. That being said, Los Arcos is pretty darn good. I had the chicken fajitas spicy style and the husband had a vegetarian burrito. Both were good but I think he was jealous of my chicken. It was SPICY! Yum! Of course I could have had it more spicy, but I’m crazy. Beware their refried beans are probably made with lard and a bit runny. But GOOD none the less. The fajitas were unique to the baja region as in the chicken was wet. I likey. I’ll be back.

Every time I come to Chico I stop by this place! The food is great and the staff is very nice and polite. Antonio and Clara(the chef) always greet me with a smile and are a pleasure to speak to. Try their carnitas tacos or their carne asada taco and I promise you will not be disappointed! 5 stars for sure!

Love the Fish Tacos! Wonderful mixture of fish, onions, zucchini, cilantro, crema, and cheese, seasoned just right. There are salsa choices, but I choose to skip them. I will try the Chimichangas which I love, if I can chance missing the taco. Nice staff.

You really can’t beat the prices at Los Arcos but to even begin calling this place a legit Mexican food restaurant is absurd. My boyfriend and I have only tried a few things on the menu but everything seems to be very bland and unappetizing. In Chico we have a ton of Mexican food places to choose from, so with that being said, I believe Los Arcos needs to step their ingredients and flavors up! The staff is really nice and I wish I liked this place but I can’t say we will be returning. Oh and the most irritating part about our experience was that I ordered the ceviche tostada and they had the nerve to bring me some runny, sauce overloaded, WARM shrimp cocktail on a tostada. Los Arcos, I know what ceviche is… and that was not it.
