I love Pita Pit! The food is inexpensive, but always tasty. The service is generally friendly and their stamp cards are a great way to save money is you plan to frequent the restaurant! Their hours are great, too!

Food is great, but the hours listed are not accurate! They claim to close at 2am, but they were doors locked, shut down at 10:59 on a Saturday.

I was disappointed with this place. I was expecting a Greek style Gyro, instead I basically got an over stuffed burrito. The«Gyro» comes with beef and lamb, and the rest of the ingredients you select yourself. There was only a handful of meat, which was buried underneath a pile of lettuce. The girl overstuffed it with lettuce, and it ended up bursting and falling out. I had to take several bites to actually get to the meat and tzatziki sauce. The entire thing was cold, and I couldn’t taste anything but lettuce, half of which ended up falling out. The place smells really bad, and I wasn’t happy that they put the pita on a bare, dirty, counter top, when they were making it. I’ve been to Greece, so believe me, these are NOT real Gyros, and they should not call them that. A «real» Gyro is supposed to look like a gordita, NOT an overstuffed burrito, and be packed with meat instead of lettuce. It cost just under $ 8.00, which I thought wasn’t a bad deal, considering the size, but for that price, I expected better quality, and more authenticity. In Greece, you can get a «real» gyro pita for less than $ 3. At least the staff knows the correct pronunciation, so I’ll give them credit for that. I probably won’t be returning here any time in the future. If you want a more traditional Greek Gyro, head to Sultan’s Bistro, just up the street.

Pita pit is the businessss. Always fresh ingredients, a mixture of the freshly cooked meat & the cold veggies – extremely customizable, white or wheat pitas, unlimited toppings, and yummy sauces to top them off. And they’re open late :)

Love this place for a quick lunch. They also deliver, which is nice. It can get busy so I’d recommend ordering on their app or online. Especially if it’s during the lunchtime rush.

I’ve been here twice and was disappointed both times. The first time I wasn’t really sure what to order so I basically ordered what I would order on a sandwich and it was not good. I figured it was my mistake. So I tried it again last week and went with a breakfast pita. I’m a vegetarian and was drawn to pita pit in the first place because they advertise that they have a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options. So I was pretty shocked and disgusted when I saw them cook my eggs and veggies in the same spot on the grill that they had just cooked meat… without cleaning it. The employee was also using the same spatula to cook my food and all the other food on the grill(mostly meat) at the same time — again without cleaning it. SOLAZYANDUNPROFESSIONAL! I had to watch him very carefully to make sure a piece of meat didn’t end up in my pita… I should NOT have to do that! In addition to the vegetarian nightmare I experienced, the customer service was very disappointing. After ordering and paying for my pita, I stood in line for about 20 minutes and there were only 4 people in front of me. When they finally got around to my order, the guy had to come up to me and ask me what I got, ingredient for ingredient. He seemed annoyed and was very unfriendly, and none of the workers apologized for the wait. Seven dollars and twenty five minutes later… I got my pita, and it didn’t even taste that great. The«avocado» was actually guacamole(I hate when restaurants do that), and the hash browns were chopped up so small and mixed into the eggs so well that I couldn’t even taste them. They were also skimpy on the cheese even though I asked for extra, and the whole thing mostly tasted like spinach and egg. It was definitely not worth the price and the wait, especially because I could have made it at home much better and quicker. Even if it tasted amazing though, I would not return! It’s overpriced, the service is slow and unfriendly, and for a vegetarian the food preparation is unacceptable.

Very stingy on the ingredients! The worker was high that made my pita. Forgot sauce in my Pita. Horrible customer service. He didn’t know what he was doing. Very poor service.

Pita pit is a great restaurant. Their employees are all super nice, and the food is amazing. I would definitely recommend stopping by. However their delivery service is terrible. They have gotten my last 3 orders wrong, and it seems that the employees are incapable of reading the order off of a piece of paper. The employees also take about an hour and a half to the delivery place.

I love pita pit staff is always friendly. I do think it’s a bit pricy but the daily special is nice. I think food needs to be paid more attention to while on the grill though to ensure thoroughness.

Delicious! This place is such a great alternative to Subway. They have the same ordering process, generally the same or slightly cheaper prices, and way more variety. This place is becoming one of my favorite between-class stops for a quick meal.

YUUUMMM!!! I think I’m also a little biased because going to the Pita Pit in Chico reminded me of the one on Davis. That being said, my pita was still damn tasty. I got the Philly with no onions and no cheese. It was still amazing with the sauce and mushrooms through! Their sweet onion sauce tastes a lot like the one from Subway. HAH. But it’s still good! The pitas can get a little drippy and messy so be careful when eating it. I forgot how the restaurant works so I may or may not have lined up in the wrong place. I got a few dirty glares from the locals but I’m not even sorry.

This is one of my favorite spots for lunch. It can get a bit over crowded, but the crew is usually pretty fast. There is rarely a spot to sit, so I truck it back to work to eat my lunch. You have a huge variety of combos to try. The add on’s are healthy and plentiful. They even do breakfast pitas! How cool is that?!

Pita Pit is a mix between food and a trip to the zoo depending on what time you go. There’s day-time Pita Pit which would be 4 stars because the food isn’t bad, the service is good and it’s pretty basic and easy to figure out. Then there’s the night-time Pita Pit which is 2 stars because it’s full of animals who, when not spilling their food/drink all over the floor, are screaming and trying ever so desperately to get laid. I’m sober so it’s always interesting to say the least when watching a group of girls pulling down their skirts that are 8 sizes too small for their freshman 15 while a group of drunk guys half stumble in and throw out a «Daaaaamn, you hot!!!» minutes later. I’d go elsewhere but if you’re downtown and DD on the weekend, there aren’t a whole lot of options other than pizza or hot dogs. At least the food is decently healthy here and the staff is good about getting things moving if you’re in a hurry.

Super unimpressed with this place. Its like Subway except instead of bread you get a pita. Nothing special, nothing super tasty, just ultra generic food items and a boring selection of «add on’s». The prices aren’t that great either– You get an almost tasteless pita bread lumped with random stuff(you choose) and then can have it warmed in the oven or, eat it cold. I’ve tried this place twice, the first time I got a warm pita and threw ½ of it out then, the second time, tried a cold pita and wished I had eaten a piece of cardboard with sprouts instead– it would have had more flavor. Yeah, not a fan, at all. Oh, and they carry Pepsi products, not Coke. Bland, below average pitas and no Coke equals a DOUBLEFAIL. I wouldn’t waste 7 cents here let alone $ 7 for a boring tasteless pita. Take your money else where… You’ll be glad you did.

The first time I ever had pita pit was when I moved to Chico. This location is in the middle of downtown and due to it being open late it is a huge drunk hangout after hours. During the day the employees seem like they want to be there but I went in late night once and felt like they were annoyed with every customer. Granted, there were a lot of drunk people there, but that’s no excuse. If you’re going to stay open later than everyone else your employees have to at least pretend that they want your business. Especially because late night drunk customers is where they probably make the most money. Also, while pita pit IS delicious– They need to set up a better ordering system. If they implemented ordering sheets that specifies what you want to order and what toppings you want on your pita(like Pluto’s) I feel like the process would be much less stressful.

I love this place. Chico is a cool little town in the North State, and makes for a better hub to position oneself for day trips during a short vacation than do meth lab-type towns like Red Bluff or Redding, although the latter is closer to Lakes Shasta and Whiskeytown. Before settling in at Starbucks a few doors down, fill up the stomach here. The fact that one can stuff their pita with ingredients to their liking is great. I usually go with ones typical of a Greek/Mediterranean pita, even though I will admit that some of the options on the food line veer away from being authentic. I am always very pleased with my meal here. It’s similar to Sultan’s Bistro, also within a block or two, yet different enough. This is more Americanized in its management, concept and décor. The people who work here have a good attitude.
