Had 3:30 reservations for Thanksgiving buffet. Upon arrival we were notified there was no more turkey. Or squash. Or also potatoes. No green beans as well. Oh, no ham either. Can’t vouch for the quality, because we left. Really disappointing.

this was my first year eating out for thanksgiving and i had really low expectations going in. i am a vegetarian and the menu didn’t have much to offer for me, but majority won the vote. the outside was a little sketchy and didn’t look like a place for a holiday meal, but the food was really good. it was a buffet and i had garlic mashed potatoes, salad and several helpings of stuffing, pierogis(PHENOMENAL!!!), rolls w butter and pumpkin pie. workers were also very nice to us. p. s best shirley temple i have ever had

Excellent! A bit tough to find but worth the effort. Great polish dishes made in house… try the Chicopee Platter for a taste of several popular dishes…

Delicious! I had the Polish Hammer for lunch and Bourbon Cheese dip with warm pretzels. PHENOMINAL! Finished it off with a nice cold Sam Adams in a frosty glass. Yummy!

Ambiance — Homey, charming, old-world, cozy. Lots of wood and plants. Bonus-Fireplace in dining room. Food-Very good. Just had a sandwich, but it was solid. Nice crispy fries. Price-Reasonable. I don’t think anything on their lunch menu exceeds $ 9.00. Some of your usual suspects, but they had some nice specials too. Service-Good. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, though, we weren’t greeted by anyone and sat ourselves in the bar, not realizing there was a whole dining room in the back. So, our poor waitress needlessly had to go back and forth from the dining room to the bar. There was a slight miscommunication about my order. Management– So with that and the issue of not being greeted and/or asked where we’d like to sit, I spoke up to the manager. Normally I don’t. I just suck it up and give a restaurant a 2nd chance. But I recently had restaurant owner comment about my review for his restaurant and he told me that I «should speak up at the restaurant when you have concerns and not provide them after-the-fact». So I decided that he’s partially right, so this time I offered polite feedback to the manager, and she was«professional», but not overly friendly. She didn’t seem interested in my comments. In fact she put one of my issues«back on me». I don’t necessarily want my butt kissed, but I don’t want to be insulted/dissed. Geez, I’m paying customer. If you want my $ and continued business, a little effort would go a long way. I understand that dealing with negativity can be frustrating and exhausting. maybe she had a bad day, or that’s just her personality, but I like a place more, when they schmooze, smile and make friendly, warm, small talk with you. It makes you happy, comfortable and wanting to go back. –Will probably go back… But if there’s any issues again, I’ll keep them to myself and 3 strikes, they’re out.

Tried this place for the first time today. I ordered the lunch seafood lasagna for $ 9.99 at 12:50. It didn’t arrive until 1:24. If I had been on an employment lunch break I would have been late returning to work. As far as the meal goes, there was very little seafood in the lasagna… it was mostly bread crumbs and sauce. There was also very little ricotta cheese. It seemed like just a regular lasagna, but poorly made. It was served with two slices of bread. The server didn’t offer any butter for the bread or lemon for the seafood lasagna. She made the excuse that the kitchen«got slammed by a big dinner party» in the other room. I’m not impressed.

this is for the vegetarians in chicopee: for entrees, your only options are breakfast, a garden salad for lunch, and dessert. they had a vegan paella, but unfortunately decided to remove it recently(probably due to lack of demand). kind of sad, because i would have loved to try it. with regards to the place — it’s like your typical dive bar, but much, much bigger and much, much cleaner. you have to walk through the bar to get to the GINORMOUS dining area in the back, which always has plenty of seating. i came here for two business-related events, so i can’t talk about the atmosphere of the place, but i had a pleasant experience overall.

Myself and two friends recently went here for dinner, I remember the place being there for years, the place had a complete remodel, very clean and a nice big bar, the bartender was very nice and accommodating, all three of us had the meatloaf dinner, two large pieces of meatloaf, a large scoop of real mashed potatoes and homemade gravy, and your choice of vegetable, the food was hot and delicious, this was there Wednesday night special, just a real good home cooked meal delicious, can’t wait to go back and try the rest of menu, you need to give this place a try.

Went here a few days back for a business lunch with some colleagues. The restaurant was clean and the waitress was very friendly. However, it was eerily quiet… you could easily hear other tables conversations even when people were trying to whisper. Maybe some music can be played in the background? As for the food, there were no complaints from our table. I ordered the lunch plate which consisted of a slice of kielbasa(cut in half lengthwise), a guwumpki, two pierogies with bacon crumbles on top and a slice of rye bread. There was also a horseradish dipping sauce. The guwumpki was excellent and came with a delicious tomato cream type sauce. The pierogies were just ok – they tasted frozen although I can’t confirm this. The kielbasa was very good and the horseradish sauce nicely accompanied it. Overall, the food was good and got high marks from everyone at the table so I’d definitely consider returning when in the area.

8−9−14: I had never been to this place before but a Groupon brought me to it. It’s a restaurant that’s been around for a long time, here in Chicopee, but did indeed endure a period where it was closed for a few years. Since our Groupon entitled us to two entrées and one appetizer we started out with stuffed mushroom caps. Our waiter was a pleasant professional looking/acting young man who had a trainee with him on this visit. For our entrées, my partner started out with beef marsala and I ordered the beef tips. And both of us ordered garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus with our meals. At this point we began to look at the deck or which included a full fireplace and dark wood paneling with a decidedly 70s look to it. The tables were covered in cloth and the napkins provided were the same. And even though it has a bar in the front of the restaurant, it was still pretty quiet in the dining area we were in. Shortly after our order was placed our waiter returned with a small loaf of very tasty warm pumpkin bread and butter. When our generous order of stuffed mushroom caps arrived we noted that they were not overly greasy and the breading on top had a slight toastedness to it. And they were stuffed with cheese bacon and the breading. We gobbled these right away, but my partner noticed that he bit down on something that was a little bit firm, possibly gristle, in one of his mushrooms. No harm done. And without a lot of waiting our main courses arrived which had generous portions and tasty dark gravy. Gravy on my tips had a slightly sweet taste to it and the garlic potatoes were delicious but the asparagus was very thin and few in number. Perhaps it was out of season. Overall it was a very tasty meal, for not a lot of money. Make no mistake this restaurant is no Munich house but it’s definitely a step above Friendly’s or a Denny’s. Conclusion: it’s definitely worth a visit if you happen to be in the neighborhood. Enjoy!

Ate here today for the first time in 20 years and was thoroughly pleased with the atmosphere and service. The food was really good, and for the life of me I cannot imagine the lady we met being the manager from hell mentioned in one of the other reviews for this restaurant. Kerry was efficient, friendly and attentive and a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely drive the hour it took us to get here again.

Interesting place to say the least. Was at the work release party today and it was packed. The food was not great at all. There was a table of 7 of us and we all agreed that the periogis were freezer burned but the insides were ok. The mussels from what I was told were dry and cold. The meatballs were good. Very surprised that the periogis were not home made considering the type of place this is. Not sure that I would buy anything off the menu as I am concerned about the quality. This surely doesn’t answer any of my questions. I had thought that this would have been a great showcase to show what they can offer. The reason and the only reason they get 3 stars is that they have shed beer on tap. Very disappointing!!!

Great choice in Chicopee … Nicely remodeled. Good food, parking lot and reasonable prices for good comfort food. it’s nice to go to a place rather than a chain restaurant.
