The phone number is incorrect and the shop is currently closed due to maintenance issues with no return date. Just checked while on my lunch break ~ 8 May 2016

Ok I was really expecting a lot from this place! At $ 3 per plate… First the rice tasted old and was a little hard. The crab meat was… well…a roll. Not shredded, no mix, nothing. Avocado was brown. Oh and forget about refills… they charge by the can here. Not happy at all. See ya later, won’t catch me here again! I’m giving 2 stars cause the customer service was semi ok. Oh and the restroom light bulbs were taken off… I don’t know what that was about, thankfully I carry wet naps.

Oh the old sushi Q is still here, now renamed«Sashimi Joe». Remnants are still there, like the plate calculation chart and the pictures of the sushi they serve behind the sushi bar. Now the sushi isn’t what you’ll find in expensive places… so I’m not sure why people would compare it to that. Duh, the quality is completely different but you get what you pay for and I believe you get a good deal for what they charge. Tax is included AND they take card! WOOHOO! The owners(?) Are super friendly, kind and hospitable. Great service always makes me want to come back! Go and support them, they’re in a dying commercial strip(Denny’s is gone, so is Dairy Queen and Papa Johns isn’t open(???)) ANYWAYS! COMETOSASHIMIJOEFORGOOD/AFFORDABLE SUSHI!

I came here cause I was intrigued by the $ 3 price. Between my BF and I we had 9 plates. The albacore sushi was very mushy and had a bland flavor, and the salmon tasted sour. The masago & tamago sushi was good, I just wish the tamago was a bit sweeter. Overall, the price point is great if you don’t have much money but want sushi. I’ll probably be coming back to grab a couple orders of masago and tamago sushi when I’m craving it.

$ 3(tax included) for 8 pieces of sushi. They have other ones that are 4 pieces and 2 piece nigiri, but I’d just stick to getting your value’s worth(that’s why you’re here right?). Avoid the california roll, it’s super simple and they just stick the imitation crab with avocado and cucumber and that’s it. I liked the spicy salmon 8 piece, and there’s a couple other’s that i’d try as well. It’s a good spot to take a couple 8 pieces to go.

Tried Joes out tonight for the first time. What drew me in was the no hassle $ 3 per plate value. This allowed for a wide spread sampling of various flavors and types. I was impressed that I was also served a variety of dipping sauces like ponzu and a special spicy mayo-deeeelicious. It wasn’t very crowded and the service was great. Got served by the owners daughter who helps out the family business on weekends. She is a sweet girl and made my first visit memorable. I will definitely be back.

Today is Ash Wednesday so my work mates and I figured it was a perfect day to try out a new sushi spot. Rolled up to the restaurant and turned out to be at the same spot Sushi Q used to be. New owners, new name, but same menu as Sushi Q! Awesome. Everything is $ 3 a plate, whether it’s a 2pc, 3pc, 4pc, 6pc or 8pc roll, fresh or deep fried, it’s all 3 bucks. Tax included! It’s not the best sushi out there, but for the value, it’s great, and my fellow sushi mates and I were super satisfied. The service is was friendly and fast! We were in and out in 30 minutes. I found it a little odd that we had to ask for our wasabi/ginger though, but no bigs. I would definitely come back especially on those days where I’m pressed for time and just need a quick(sushi) bite for lunch. Easy-peasy fresh and quick sushi. Thanks Sashimi Joe!

This place blows the former sushi Q that was at the same location out of the water! Great service. We were in and out very quickly during the Saturday night dinner rush.

Different owners just opened In the old Sushi Q space at the Northeast corner at Grand and Peyton. Every item is $ 3.00. That includes the plainer 8 piece rolls, 4 piece and more flavorful 3 piece rolls, baked and fried types. I tried the Dynamite Roll, Spicy Tuna Shrimp Tempura and one other salmon roll. It’s really decent sushi food for the price point. They also will make some of the items into handrolls. Price point + full tummy + call ahead take out = solves, and saves money when the teenagers are screaming sushi, sushi. Owners are very nice and gave me samples of all their sauces to try. It’s so new, so they forgot to give me wasabi but I went home with lots of fun sauces to play with.

WOOHOO! Sashimi Joe made my dream come true. I am not a big eater, but do enjoy rolls more than sashimi so I can never make my money’s worth at AYCE sushi restaurants. And I wanted to have a little bit of this and that roll but all the regular sushi restaurants just give you one roll with 8 pieces so I’d be full after one order. So rotating sushi bar was pretty much the only choice left. How many times did I wonder if I could take just couple plates as to-go from the conveyor belt. And BAM. Sashimi Joe came along. I guess they renovated the old sushi place, and the place itself looks like just another plane sushi restaurant– but they do offer to go! It’s just perfect for any sashimi lovers, or roll loves like me! When I saw the $ 3 sign on their door, I thought there must be some event or deal going on. Imagine my surprise when I found out that it was their price. In pure excitement I ended up ordering so many. Rolls are freshly made by the chef and the service is very attentive. If you are in the area and craving for a quick yet yummy sushi togo at a superb price, do make a stop at SASHIMIJOE! You won’t be disappointed.
