Dr. Robert Gordan is just outstanding in every positive way. He has been my doctor in excess of seven years. He actually shows that he cares for your well being. He has always been responsive even for after hours care. He spends the time required during your appointment in order to ensure he can provide the best care possible. I can’t say enough positive things about him.

Dr. Robert Gordon has been my doctor for about 12 years. I’m writing this review in rebuttal to one very bad review I read on Unilocal about him. It was a bad review because the woman was sick and not feeling good. Just like me — she had depression and saw things through a dark glass. So I totally understand her frame of mind. Dr. Gordon is a white male, about 65 years old, tall and thin. He speaks perfect English. He is in a group with about 24 other mental health practitioners at Foothill Psychology Services. They have two offices; Chino and Upland. He prescribes medications but doesn’t practice counseling. I’ve always been impressed with this cheerful staff because they have a very hard job — being nice to depressed people and other mentally ill patients. They are very patient and know their patients need extra understanding. I like his approach to helping me reach my utmost mental health potential. HEACTUALLYLISTENSTOWHAT I THINKABOUTMYMEDICATIONS and takes that into consideration every time we make a change. He has a sense of humor which I think is important in dealing with depressed patients. The visit takes about 15 mins. He doesn’t get upset or angry no matter what I have to share with him. I trust his PRO-ACTIVE judgment about medications. Nothing must remain status quo. If I’m not feeling good, we talk about what WE can do to change that. He is up-to-date on the latest drugs. They take most insurances. I only need to see him every 3 months. THISISVERYIMPORTANT: He ALWAYS returns my calls in the same day, some times at night, if I am having an issue with my meds. ALWAYS! So I don’t need to worry or be anxious whether I will get help that day. The only negative thing I’ve noticed is that he can NOT multi-task. He can’t write a prescription AND talk to me at the same time. Oh, well. :) I’ve recommended him to several depressed friends. I plan to stay with him until he retires.
