Mel’s Liquor & Check Cashing

I can’t get what I saw happen here out of my mind. I came In to grab something quickly after my nail appt next door. There was a VERY elderly man filling out a lottery ticket. As the owner was helping me the elderly man reached over the counter and set his ticket on the ticket machine. The owner takes the ticket and throws it on the floor at the elderly man’s feet then proceeds to tell him to go ahead and pick it up off the floor. flabbergasted, I look up the owner and I say «well that’s not nice.“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. The owner tells me „he shouldn’t be reaching over the counter so now he can pick up the ticket off the floor.“
Of course I bend over to pick the ticket up for the man and the elderly gentleman says to me „honey don’t pick it up.“ I said to the owner» he is an elderly man and you are a horrible person and I will never shop at your store again.” I Felt like I was on that show, What Would You Do!!! I left my items on the counter and walked out. As I was leaving I could hear him telling the elderly gentleman to leave his store and never come back. after talking to my nail stylist I realize that apparently he does this to a lot of people. he came into her nail shop and told her that she needs to learn English and go back to her country. I can’t believe how horrible some people are. Please do not give this man anymore business!!!
