First time coming here and their customer service was pretty bad. The lady was sassy and rude. Even tho they later apologized after I had complained I will not recommended this place to my friends.

I come here often and the phở ga and sandwiches are super consistent. I actually came the day the USA soccer team played against Jamaica. It was during lunch and they all eat together like a big ass family. I literally sat next to them and watched the game as I ate with them. They were speaking in their language and when they laughed I laughed. when they cried I cried, you get the point. Needless to say they accepted and now I live in the kitchen.

This is my favorite Phó place in chino. Good quality excellent portions for the price. Usually I get the #10. It’s not as fancy but the quality is the best compared to other Phó restaurants around. It’s also good when your really hungry because they bring out the soup fast.

The place is so close to where my family and I live and when we’re in the mood for some phở we like to come here. I usually get phở bo vien(meatball) and fried rice for my brother. Their goi cuon(fresh spring rolls) with peanut sauce and cha giò(fried spring rolls) with nuoc cham(dipping sauce) are great as well. The staff is nice to us. They take card.

The food is absolutely delicious! The phở helps me each time with my hangovers. This is the best phở restaurant in town. The staff are friendly and the service is great! Food comes out in a good timely manner. Love eating here!

My wife told me about this place, and I was looking forward to giving it a try. This place is a true diamond in a bad setting. It’s tucked away in a dumpy little strip mall, and not the easiest to find, but it’s worth the hunt! The place wasn’t very stylish, but very clean. My wife and I got seated right away, they were pretty quick in getting our order. I had the pork sandwich, my wife had the small beef phở bowl. I really should mark it as «small» because in reality it was HUGE! We also had the shrimp spring rolls, and I had a Thai ice tea. The thing that stood out the most was the freshness of everything … the pork was cooked and spiced perfectly, and the Thai tea was some of the best I’ve had. Everything was on point flavor and temperature-wise, and it came out super fast. The best part was the whole meal was under $ 20 before tip! Plus, my wife had enough left overs for at least 2 lunches. Bottom line is there is some good eating at this place! I’ll be back for sure.

We absolutely love it here! We go once a week with our 8 month old and they are just so nice to him that they bring out his own little small bowl with phở noodles, and his small spoon and scissors so we can cut the noodles really good so it’s easier for our baby to eat the noodles and they do it all without us asking!!! Ya’ll need to try it because trust me, you’ll LOVE it

Phở Island is definitely a hidden gem. More like a desert isle a castaway would happily stumble upon while lost at sea. You’d never know it was there in the shopping center its in, unless you know it was in that shopping center. The wife was craving phở the other day, so since we were in the area, we busted out the Unilocal app and found this place. I’ve read complaints in reviews here about dirty dishes stacked on dirty tables like its a bad thing. Whether you’ve just come after the rush or the staff was a little lax with getting the time to bus the table, dirty dishes and dirty tables is a good thing. Dirty tables and dirty dishes equal busy, customer filled restaurant, which means regular, returning customers. Some other Unilocalers expressed rude staff and horrible service. On this, my first visit, I experienced neither. Yes, there is a slight language barrier, but nothing some simple pointing and hand gestures can’t take care of. Ever try ordering tacos at 2 am in TJ while trying to keep yourself upright? Same thing here. Grin, point, order! LOL. As far as the food goes, we were a little all over the place with our likes and dislikes. We ordered three things off the menu. The chicken phở was a big bowl and it was tasty, but I didn’t care for the broth and found it to be bland(I had to add soy sauce), but my wife and daughter liked it, while my son didn’t care for it too much either. We started with egg roll appetizers, and they were good, but they didn’t serve it with sweet and sour like other places have even though that’s probably more of a Chinese than Vietnamese thing. They were big and crispy and looked more like taquitos, but were good. My daughter has taken a strong liking to vermicelli dishes, the ones served with raw veggies and fish sauce on the side. Portion for this dish here were bigger than other places and was very delicious. She was a little disappointed because she usually gets a charbroiled chicken breast and they don’t have that on the menu here, but she was more than happy with the beef she tried. The last thing we ordered was basic chicken fried rice. Portion was smaller than other places we’ve been to and taste wise was right in the middle. Overall, I think we will be back here next time we’re in the area and feening for some phở.

We came to this restaurant based on other reviews that they gave great service, but we were instantly disappointed by the horrible service. I do not know if they are the owners or not, but they are insanely rude to non-oriental descent customers. Whenever we asked them for anything they would get angry and would cut us off mid sentence. We wanted to add items to our order and they did not give us the extra minute. The service was such a horrid experience it ruined our meal. Not to mention that they got our order wrong, and when we told them they became very passive aggressive. The experience and service was unwelcoming and will not be dining here again.

The service was awful but the food was not bad. The staff was very unfriendly but that could be because of the language barrier. The all but 5 tables were dirty and filled with plates but it didn’t seem like a concern for the crew to clean them up. It was a steady flow of traffic so maybe that was why. Also, the music playing was awkward. They were blasting what seemed like a Christmas carol cd. The day after Halloween… Just awkward dining music. And on the tv’s they were all set on animal planet. It was a strange experience to say the least. We had the large phở bowl and I shared it with my son. The large was a huge portion. We also had egg roll appetizers that were delicious. But how hard it it to mess up a fried appetizer?

Food is good, portions are good size and they offer an affordable price. They miss one star for not so friendly service. If you can get over the grumpy staff it’s a good phở place. I like the Bbq chicken vermicelli and fresh spring rolls.

Service: excellent! The servers were prompt in taking our order, the food arrived quickly, and the servers stopped by several times to ask if we needed anything. Ambiance: there were several large TV screens on the walls, and each was playing a different channel(one was covering the Fifa women’s cup, another was covering the pga, etc). I loved that I could keep track of the progress of several competitions without having to choose. Food: we ordered the beef phở. It came with steak, tripe, shank, and tendon. We asked that the meat be well done and they followed our request very well. The soup was deliciously savory and the meats were flavorful. We also ordered the iced Vietnamese coffee, which was deliciously rich and well brewed. Overall: lovely phở place! Will definitely drop by next time I’m in town!

This is my first time here and will be the last time. Food was okay, stuff was horrible and rude. When I ask for some bow for 4 of us to share, he only gave two so I ask for two more. He then gave me dirty gross bows! Of course I would want another clean one, and he did, he wiped the dirt out in front of my friends then gave it to me. How GROSS!

Very Good… I’ve only had Phở from two different places but from a «newbies» opinion this place was really good! I got the number 10 in a small portion which to me was still a lot of food. From the time I ordered to the time I go my food was only about 5−8min so quick service & the waiter was friendly as well. I can definitely see myself coming back.

This place is Ookay. With so many phở spots popping up everywhere you really should be on your A game if you want to do well within this business. Sadly this place is not anymore. Phở Island use to be my go to spot for phở. I loved coming here but the more I came the worst it got. The last bowl I had from this place was the phở island special. Its a combination bowl of sliced steaks, fatty brisket, tendon & tripe. I used to love it. But this last time is why I will not be going back. All the ingredients were there but it somehow feel apart. Nothing came together and like any phở regular you start with sipping the broth. This should have been my first clue. The broth was warm, not the usual searing hot, and bland. I then added my usual thai basil(i love thai basil), sprouts, lime juice, and sriracha. Still wasnt pulling through but I was hopeful. I continued to work through it ending dissatisfied and slightly uncomfortably full.

I ordered Phở no. 8 and it was delicious. Mango smoothie is a great choice as well. Price is good and food quality is fresh. The waiter had a little problem speaking, but nothing too bad. COMPLETELYRECOMMENDED!!!

Another Phở joint in Chino discovered Thanks to Unilocal. The sign stated special small phở for $ 4.99 daily! When I received by bowl I thought the employee took my order incorrectly. The bowl was large and filled with rare beef and other ingredients with a generous amount of perfectly cooks noodles. The piping hot broth went great with the addition of fresh bean sprouts, mints, jalapenos and limes. I’ll be returning for here for sure since I’m in the area frequently visiting clients!
