Came here randomly after driving around aimlessly in the Chino area. Entered the restaurant with self seating. The waiter allowed me to sit anywhere I wanted which was a hard decision for me to make since I typically prefer window seats. However, it appeared as though there were window seats all around. Plenty of natural lighting, which might I mention I am a HUGE fan of. After finishing a weeks worth of final exams, I decided to order an iced coffee to be able to stay awake behind the wheel after an anticipated bout of food coma following a large bowl of the special combination beef phở. In short, the coffee was excellent and reminded me a lot of Lee’s Coffee. The phở was excellent as well. Probably one of the tastier bowls of beef phở I’ve had in the area. The quality of meat was good too. I typically expect low quality cuts when eating beef phở. However, with the bowl of beef phở I had here, I thoroughly enjoyed eating my phở without having to worry about my jaw muscles getting sore from excessive chewing. The service was excellent with the waiter being super attentive. He came to take my order the moment I looked up to get his attention. All of this may have been coincidental but I had an excellent experience here nonetheless. The coffee, phở, and service were all on point. Would definitely come back in the future.

By far the best Vietnamese restaurant in the area. Food is always served with great presentation, perfectly balanced flavors, presentation is very appealing and the price is extremely good for what you are eating. Service makes me feel at home but all in all Phở Lotus deserves far more than just a great review. The owner and the staff are more than friendly and are down to earth.

Been coming to this spot for a few months now and the food here is good and consistent. However, service could be improved so that customers are noticed right when they walk in rather than the customers making themselves known to the employees. One weird thing is that they automatically fill in card payments as $ 0.00 tip. Their loss if no one has cash

Their shrimp fried rice is super dry and it still had shrimp shells in it. Their peas and carrot to rice ratio is way off, and to top it off the waiter was more interested in the tv than the customers.

I’m so sad that Kevin is no longer here. Had lunch with my mom here today and I could not be more disappointed… but not on the food, it’s still delicious. It’s the service that I and a couple other people there experienced too. A customer should never not be greeted, nor have to get up to ask to oder, ask for a container to go and of course get the bill. To the young man running this place now I’d like to suggest that you value those of us that do enjoy the food by taking a course or two on hospitality and customer service. Unfortunately I’ll have to find another local phở place to take my much appreciated business.

This little spot in Chino is impressive. Their food is delicious but their presentation is amazing. I wish I had a picture of their to-go bowls, but that’s what gets me all the time. Love it. Their staff is friendly and attentive. I always order a chicken noodle soup to go. I call ahead and it’s ready in less than 10 mins, with everything I need.

Ever since the store ownership changed hand, the quality dropped to the bottom. Not only the real dish doesn’t match the picture in the menu(Spring rolls served in 2 pcs instead of 3 pictured), but the meat and ingredients are significantly downgraded. I tried a grilled chicken on steam rice one time, the chicken was tasteless and it looked like if they outsourced it from somewhere else because when it was served, it was all dried and rough. Yuck! The store employee and owner can barely speak English, not only they can’t understand the question, but none of their words were understandable. If you are talking about a bargain price, you may just want to get it by. But their prices are nowhere cheaper than any other fast food stores. I would rather eat Carls Jr. burger(even though it also sucks) but it’s still way better than their dishes. Not going back any more.

OK, hands down… this place is definitely one of the best Phở’s I’ve ever had!!! Their spring rolls are amazing! They have an extra crunch in their rolls that I have never had at any other Phở places. The place is kind of hidden in the Chino Town Center area but it’s a definite go to spot to get your Phở fix! They have a pretty good variety of food and at a reasonable price! 3 spring rolls are $ 3.95 and they are pretty filling for 2 people. Go. NOW! It’s sooo good! I’ll most likely be back and order a big fat platter of spring rolls for my next party: D

The restaurant in terms of cleanliness had much to be desired. The a/c was barely working and the whole place get stuffing and uncomfortable in a hot summer day. The server was nice and the service was ok. The food was very average. I ordered stir fired lemon chicken and the meat portion was very little. The vegetables were very average. It tasted more like Chinese green pepper chicken than real authentic Vietnamese lemon chicken. Overall the restaurant was very average and nothing too authentic. However, the tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce was good.

Came here last year to check it out since it had a grand opening sign and there aren’t many phở places in Chino. It’s a-okay! Minus stars because it was the middle of summer when I dined here and they refused to turn on the air conditioning. It made our dining experience very uncomfortable since we were sweating from eating the soup. On to the food! The egg rolls — delish! Spring rolls — good but nothing special, average. The bon bo hue — not very spicy but still good. This dish is my favorite and I always order it whenever I have phở. Let’s just say, it was good… it just didn’t wow me. It was worth the try, I don’t think I will be coming back. There’s a phở place in Chino Hills on Grand next to Albertson’s that serves the best phở in the area.

Terrible terrible service. It shouldn’t take 20 minutes to take our orders when there’s only two parties in the whole place. Tiny portions. A large here is smaller than a small in most other phở places. Broth pretty bland, hardly any noodles. Beef the toughest thing I’ve ever seen. Sad thing is, this used to be our favorite local phở place, like 2 name changes ago. Got so tired of waiting we figured the cost and just left.

We will consider going back… but it is unlikely. The AIRCONDITIONING was working fine. No problem there. I ordered #13 noodles with some beef. The mint leaves were fresh as well as the bean sprouts. The onions were nicely cut and in good proportion to soup and noodle. The meat… there was plenty. I dare say more than I’m accustomed to being served. Sadly, the meat was tougher than dried jerky that just came out of the freezer. It wasn’t cold. It was tough. My wife’s meat was also tough. I include a picture as evidence. No one eats a bowl of phở and walks away with that much beef left. I made sure to make an effort to bite into all the slices of beef. None gave to the force from my gnawing. We left two regular sized bowls nearly empty besides the leather straps they served. Helpful tip to the business from folks that have cooked phở. The meat used to season the broth should be discarded and not served. It gave its life to season the broth, it has nothing more to give. This phở place gets 3-stars instead of 2 because of the service. I will make this note: we were the only ones there so exceptional service is expected. The AC issue has been resolved. The base ingredients for the phở are solid and taste fine. The place is clean and the staff is helpful. Get the meat problem squared away or the business will eventually fail. The location is such that repeat visits are of dire need.

So hot in there… The ACMUST be broken because the thermostat said 94 degrees… Yet somehow, I still give them 5 stats. Hands down the best phở I’ve ever had! It’s so far from where I live but the broth is so worth it! I wasn’t too crazy for the spring rolls, but I’ll definitely be back for the phở!!!

Husband and I have not been here for almost a year. The service still great, price still same, egg rolls were as good as before(my little one likes it) and phở still good, but the broth is a little too salty(may be bc we went in at late night 8:50 pm). And since we were in at night which is cool, unlike last time in the afternoon, so I don’t know if they improve their ac yet. So overall, they still deserves 4 stars.

Earning a 4.5 star review on Unilocal is not an easy task. So on a Friday afternoon, I decided to give this place a try. Located in a strip mall in the middle of Chino Ca, this is not exactly the place where you will find excellent Vietnamese cuisine. Says this place is on the way back from work, I decided to stop by and give it a try. This place is obviously run by younger folks. The atmosphere is decidedly non-descriptive. I was greeted by two young Asian men speaking like frat bros. first bad sign. I ordered the house special phở and the egg rolls. After about five minutes the food was presented to me. Thankfully the food was excellent. Even though the phở was obviously cooked before and reheated, the excellent soup base makes me forgive all ill doings. I would definitely recommend this place. The bill came out to a economical $ 15 including tip.

So i love their phở! Its really delish but the tables are almost never stocked w soy sauce and the other sauces, I always find myself steeling it from another table. Its a regular vietnamese place, dont expect great costumer service or anything. Just like the soup. PS if you are in the plaza and find the phở having a different name, this is the one! For some reason they have not changed the name of the restaurant outside. So dont get confused. Once a friend of mine went through the plaza for a good 5 minutes looking for Phở Lotus that does not exist.

I came here with my brothers when the place was newly opened. We got their egg rolls(Ch giò) $ 5.25 for 5 pieces. I got the fresh spring rolls(Gi cun — $ 3.75). The gio cuon was ok but I liked the cha gio better. I also got the thai tea for free since I used their coupon from the mail. I was hungry for phở bo vien(#14 $ 6.25) and it was ok, I liked other places that I’ve eaten. Nice service, place is clean, and they take card.

New owners took over here several months ago. It was lunch time and parking was no issue. 4 ½ stars. I was greeted and advised to sit wherever so I found a larger comfy table. Ordered the chicken phở regular size. When it arrived it seemed small so I asked if I could sizenup and the waiter said yes. The broth here was non greaasy and the chicken lean. I must say I was impressed with the quality and the service was spot on! I wouldn’t think twice about returning here again!

Clear broth, bright natural lighting, friendly servers. It is difficult to convince by boyfriend to go anywhere new and he actually found this place. Perhaps he was trying to impress me, but we actually went somewhere besides his usual phở spot. Of course, that means his expectations were up. No complaining, only slurping. He got the well-done steak and golden brisket phở and the meat was tender, though he noted the broth was sweeter. I had the beef ball phở with huge chewy beef balls cut into quarters. Maybe it was my imagination but my broth was better. It was very clear and light but still flavorful. It’s not as full-bodied as the ones I am used to in SGV but it was good. The real test for the broth is afterwards– is it MSG-laden? High in sodium? I did slurp up ½ to ¾ of the bowl of soup and felt thirsty afterwards, but not excessively so. Egg rolls were piping hot, fat and crispy, and it came with a sweet chili sauce. I loved the filling as it was a bit plainer and not salty or overbearing. Our server was super friendly and polite, as well as the other waitress that came to our table. I can’t say anything bad about this place. The phở is good, though not as drool-worthy as other phở places, but I appreciated it for what it was and would come back!
