Air conditioner started blowing hot air on a Saturday afternoon. WEDO was the only service to call me back, was there within the hour, and had everything fixed and running quickly. Recommend to anyone who needs quick and courteous service!

I have used WEDO for two different AC/Central heating repair calls, and both times I was very impressed by the promptness, honesty, and prices! The first time, we were in the process of buying a house that was in foreclosure, so any repairs that would be needed to close escrow wouldn’t be paid for by the seller, but by us. The seller had disclosed that the central heating unit needed a new igniter, so we called WEDO(found their ad in the local Chino paper) and Dan, the technician, went to the vacant house thinking he would be replacing an igniter. However, when he got there he found that the only problem was a blown-out pilot light! He re-lit the pilot light, checked the system to make sure everything worked, and charged us NOTHING — not even a service call! The house was vacant at the time, no one was there see what he was doing, so he certainly could have replaced the igniter and charged for that and no one would have questioned anything. Fast-forward two years, and our AC stopped working on a very hot Sunday, with a heat wave forecast for the upcoming week. I remembered WEDO and called them at 5:00PM on Sunday, expecting to just leave a voicemail and hear back from them on Monday. Dan(same tech) called me back within a half-hour of my leaving the voicemail on Sunday! When I explained what the AC was and was not doing, he said it sounded like either a capacitor or a fan motor, and said he could be out by 10:00AM the next morning. He did ask, «Are you going to die tonight?» since it was a very hot day — I really think he would have come out on Sunday night if we had said we needed the AC working right away! We said no, Monday morning would be fine. He called me at 9:00AM the next morning and said he could be here in 10 minutes — when is the last time you were waiting on a repair guy and he was EARLY? Sure enough, it was a bad capacitor. He also found a bad fuse and some missing AC freon line caps, and he replaced those right away. He did not have the exact type of dual capacitor we needed on his truck, but he did a temporary work-around by wiring in a smaller capacitor so we could have AC. He said he would order the part, it would be in within a week, and he would call and replace it then. Until then, he wouldn’t charge us anything. He checked the rest of the system and said everything else looked good. He gave an estimate of $ 200 for the entire job, to be paid only when the ordered part is installed. Both times I’ve dealt with this company I’ve been floored by how quickly they respond to calls, how professional and trustworthy the tech is, and how fairly they deal with their customers. There are a lot of scammer guys out there who will try to sell unneeded repairs, but WEDO isn’t one of those! They are ethical, professional, and extremely fair in their pricing! I can say without a doubt that when it does come time to do a full replacement/upgrade of our central AC and heat, we will be using WEDO.
