I went here on a Sunday evening (around 8pm) and it was really quiet and empty. They have benches and bbqs for picnics in the area close to the parking lot. My husband remembered the swings being fun when he was a kid but these days the swings are gone (although the supports are still there). The gravel walking trail along canal can get a little dusty, so you might want to wear closed toed shoes. It was really humid and the bugs were out in full force when I went for my walk, but the walk was easy, pleasant, and serene.
