Ribete Steak es súper sabroso muy jugoso y suave es el mejor q e comido. Bien dicen que restaurante a la orilla de la carretera y donde entran conductores de camiones tiene q ser bueno ;)

The hostess was great! Too bad she wasn’t our actual waitress! .
She (the waitress) seemed like she was constantly saying I will be right back… but, never actually coming right back. The whole meal was like this.
We sat down and got our drinks and watched while others came in after us and their order was taken before ours. Finally she takes our order and then continues to forget our food. It was cold. The gravy was hot and so that’s why the two stars. The food would have been really good served hot.

So the Bobby pin in my tapioca pudding kinda ruined it for me. Was a weekly regular and must admit enjoyed my meals. But on my last visit as I was enjoying my desert, scooped up a Bobby pin, after already eating several bites DISGUSTING! Waitress whisked it away with no apology and just said «how gross.» Possibly requiring hairnets would prevent this. Needless to say, I just can’t go back. Also must admit that service from some of the waitresses was below average. Had one of the newer ones argue with me about my order. Matt and Annette please bring back the quality and customer service you once had.

One of the best restaurants in Chowchilla. Big portions, honest food. Lovely wait staff. They get folks here from everywhere, truckers, international tourist groups, locals, they are kind and patient with everyone. A really comfortable and satisfying place to eat!

I’ve never had a bad time here. The food has a home cooked feel and the staff is very friendly. I’m partial to eating in the bar but the dining room is nice, too. The décor and details are above what you expect from the area, so that makes it even better. The patrons are friendly and welcoming. Overall, it’s a great place for all occasions, I was pleasantly surprised. A drink after work, a sit down meal, or dinner with some friends, you can’t go wrong.

Great stop for dinner half way point between SF and LA. Ribeye with prawns was excellent. Great customer service with excellent food. Highly recommend if your in the area.

We stop by Farnesi’s on our drive to S. California whenever we get the chance. It’s clean and friendly. The food is real and served hot. They are very kind doing things like splitting a milk shake for our kids and adding in more ice cream to make sure both kids have enough or bring out large styrofoam cups of ice tea take on the road.
The steaks taste like real meat and are always served hot as are the mashed potatoes and veggies. Nothing tastes pre-​cooked and then reheated.
It’s a great bargain if you have time to sit down and enjoy your meal.

Gave up on getting our food. Plenty of help, few customers, after 20 minutes told they didn’t have the corn beef, reordered, but 30 minutes later gave up.

Walked in at about 9:00 for dinner. Waitress was behind the counter getting drinks for a table. I asked when they close. She says you have plenty of time we are open until 10:00. She says to sit wherever you would like. She serves the drinks to the table next to me, goes into the back and I decide what I would like to order. The problem is she never comes back. There is some yelling in the back room, no one out front. I hear some banging and clanging. More yelling. Something is either dropped or thrown. Some more load conversations. 25 minutes go by. She still never came back. I had to get up to leave and headed to Carl’s Jr. Don’t know what the rest of the patrons did. Crazy.

I would give 0 stars if possible. There was a group of four of us, the waitress took our order 15 minutes after seating us. After 50 minutes of waiting for our food, we got up and left. The waitress apologized and didn’t charge us for our drinks. This was an example of terrible management. One waitress to take orders, serve and take our money! Never coming here again!

Two stars because, although the food was delicious, it could never make up for the poor service! Only two servers and with three tables, it still took 10 minutes to get drinks and another 15 minutes to get the order in. Not only that, but there was no eye contact or any pleasantries from this young lady who seemed more intent on sharing her friend’s secrets with the other girl. Awful!

I would give this place 0 stars if possible. Horrible service — the bartender didn’t check on our table frequently and I ran out of beer more than once. Aside from that, our food took around 40 minutes to be delivered to our table and was lacking flavor. I will not return. I hope the restaurant improves the quality of service and food in hopes for a better business.

Food was good really nothing to get excited about… but the service was HORRIBLE. Our waitress walked out with her purse and my girl had to go up n ask for a box and our ticket. When she asked for the tix another waitress had the nerve to ask her who was serving us what did she look like what hair color and what was her name… Like WTF!!! Food might make me go back n try again but the service definitely needs an upgrade

I’ve always ordered the same chicken avocado sandwich but there’s just something about the chicken that I don’t enjoy. However I love their sweet potato fries. Last time I went I ordered the pork chops they were amazing! It’s clean and quiet and service is great.

Below average food and décor stuck in the 70s. Even for traditional diner food, this place is hard to recommend. Several spelling errors on the menu brought some chuckles. Had a sandwich that was so full of mayo (despite having asked for NO MAYO) that I had to send it back. The side salad was likely from a bag and had wilted lettuce. There aren’t many choices in Chowchilla and this place has been around for years so it must do okay for what it is. But, it is not difficult to find something better…

Wow — in reading the other reviews I feel as if I visited in an alternate universe when I dined here. There are not a lot of options for a sit-​down meal in Chowchilla. We usually drive out of town before we will opt to eat here. The cleaning fluid smell always kills my appetite and the food is just meh. Service is friendly.

I went to Farnesi’s not expecting much. The building is older and tucked back behind other businesses. The inside looks like a time warp to 1975. But despite all that, the place is clean, the service was very good, and the food was way better than I had hoped. I had the pork chop breakfast. The chop was tender and very good. My wife got the Fried Chicken. It was made fresh and not frozen.
Overall, for diner food I would recommend Farnesi’s. I was pleasantly suprised.
