Apple Store

I came into the Apple Store located in Eastlake due to a faulty phone (50% apple’s fault) and a cracked screen (50% my fault). My issue was resolved, but not w. o going through 3 different employees and a 2 hour wait! First and foremost let me start off w. The manager (ANDY) who was very courteous, patient, and helpful. He came to a very accommodating agreement for both parties. His service was EXCELLENT and I CAN see why he is a manager.
However, the other 2 employees… not so much. The first technician I spoke w. (forgot his name) just shut down everything I said. He responded before I was done explaining and he answered questions before he fully new what I was asking. I told him I would rather talk to (ANDY) and he says okay (robotically) and walks off to get Andy, but pulls him to the back first. They stay back there for 10 mins talking (who knows). Then Andy comes out and says the exact same thing the previous person says. Only this time I got to plead my case and Andy listens. Runs back and fourth assessing the issue. Apologizes for the wait/​inconvenience and then comes to a compromise that works for both apple and myself. Then he has the next technician take over for the signatures/​disclosures. The technicians name is JUAN.
Juan introduces himself and he already seems uninterested in helping me (i.e. Slanted annoyed smile+half a** handshake). Andy walks away and Juan steps in and starts looking for some info. I tell him Andy may have used other info. and he says okay and continues looking.
Then he goes to the back for about 5 mins and comes out and lays the iPad in front of me…*sign here and click agree it just states the decisions that were made w. your issue (in so many words). I look for the notes and click the next page and I still don’t see them so I asked him if I could see the notes or at the least the gist to ensure there is no confusion when I come back.
Juan automatically says no the notes are generated for us and does a circular motion w. his finger pointing at the Apple employees. And I said well I’ve had some mishaps before and not to be complicated but I would like to make sure everything that was agreed upon is in the notes. So could you… before I could finish my sentence he started to roll his eyes and sigh as he walked away… his back almost turned towards me w. an annoyed voice saying I’ll go ask Andy then since he helped you.
He comes back out and says Andy is typing something up I’m just getting my stuff. Snatches his stuff and walks back to the back
He comes back 10 mins later w. a paper (which was a print out of exactly what was emailed me to me) so nothing about the notes.
Juan: This is all we can give you. Like I said the information is for us.
Me: I’m sorry I wasn’t trying to make it a big deal or anything. «I just wanted to know the gist of the notes. You didn’t have to go ask Andy or anything. I just wanted to make sure that when I come back I won’t have any issues because…»
Juan: (Cuts me off) You won’t it’s already stated so sign here so you can get out. And enjoy your day or what ever. (Nice save)
Me: Uh? Did I do something wrong?
Juan: No. I just want to fix this issue. Because according to you it’s an emergency right? So here’s your paper work and let me process it and you will be good to go.
Me: Okay? Wow you are being really rude right now. And you’re not allowed to talk to me like that. I didn’t do anything wrong and you came at me from the beginning like you had a problem w. me?
Juan: Lol okay (snarky laugh).
Me: Well I am just saying.
Juan: Lol okay. &stares at me smiling (snooty laugh).
Me: Really what is your problem?
Juan: Lol No I’m not mad at all (blank stare).
Me: Okay Juan… are you having a bad day? Do you not want to be here? Either way don’t take it out on me.
Juan: (Mumbles as I am talking) haha I love my job. It’s just… nothing never mind. My day was going fine until…
Me: (I cut him off) until you helped me? I mean I was perfectly content. My problem was solved and ready to go. Then you came over w. major attitude for no reason. I haven’t talked to you so idk why you are treating me like this?
Juan: Okay.
Me: Okay well I’m going to write a Unilocal review! Andy was great, but you not so much. I will be saying exactly what you did/​said.
Juan: Okay. (Then he places the iPad for my signature. Snatched my devices. Snatches the sims card out and let’s it drop on the counter. Let’s out a sigh and says here… enjoy the rest of your day (sarcastic smile) and packs his stuff.
Me: Okay Juan. Well I don’t know what I did but…
Juan: I was fine until you said something about the Unilocal review.
Me: Okay well look at how you are talking to me and your body language. What do you expect me to do.
Juan: Well obviously I can’t look at myself. I can’t see myself.
Me: Okay Juan really? You may not be able to see yourself, but you know what you are doing. You’re antagonizing me.
He walks away& I left.

The customer service here is really atrocious. The associates all seem to have a «We’re not responsible for anything» attitude – basically we break it you pay. Way to stick it to the customer, Apple.

My favorite Apple Store to go to! It’s so much calmer than the other locations in San Diego and the staff is very nice. Whenever my laptop is acting up I can always rest assured that I won’t have to wait long to get an appointment at the Genius Bar. Most times I can schedule an appointment for the following afternoon, that’s how much less busy it is compared to Fashion Valley.
I’ve taken my laptop to the Genius Bar three times since it was purchased and all three times it’s been great. One time I had a very kind staff member resolve the issue on the spot within 30 minutes, and the other two my laptop was sent to the repair center.
The staff here are so helpful and if you speak Spanish there’s so many bilingual people working at this location. This is by far the best Apple Store to make your Genius Bar appointments at, even if it’s a drive– DO IT!

The Carlsbad Store is 3 – 4 stars. The Fashion Valley Store does not even rate 1 star (its n OBSCENE CLUSTER FUCK!). Apple is making it next to IMPOSSIBLE to even make an APPOINTMENT AT A «GENIUS BAR» AT ANY STORE (I think they want to get you IN their stores for some strange reason!). I have never been to the Chula Vista location (the original of this review was about the FASHION VALLEY STORE!)

The customer service at this Apple Store makes the DMV or your HMO look friendly by comparison. I went to get the new iphone, and even though I had an appointment I still had to wait 30 minutes for the pleasure of giving them my money. The employee who finally did decide to help me, didn’t seem very happy to have to deal with another customer on this busy day. A couple simple questions about new leasing options for the iphone, and how the data transfer from my old phone was going to work, he acted as if I was asking for his mom to accompany me to the local swinger’s club. When he didn’t know the answer, he disappeared for 10 minutes at a time just leaving me hanging. When he finally graced me again with his presence, his attitude was basically look are you going to buy the phone or not? Actually, if I didn’t desperately need the phone I would’ve given this dude a running kick to the groin and been on my way.

Make sure you make an appointment and you’ll be good to go! I suck at doing that even though it’s so easy to do online.
I came here once before for the Genius Bar and I couldn’t even be seen because they were booked. I made an appointment and came back the next day and there was still a bit of a wait, but I think it was just a super busy day for them.
I had an appointment to get my screen fixed today and only waited about 10 minutes to be seen and 3 hours to get my phone back.
When I came back to pick it up, I didn’t have to wait at all!
Staff here is always nice and courteous. I can tell they’re happy to be there and not just waiting until they get to clock out. They make my dreaded errand a lot more tolerable than I expected.

Upon arriving at my previously confirmed appointment at the Genius Bar, I had to wait almost 20 minutes to get service. Upon getting my MacBook consulted by a Genius Bar employee, the employee disappeared periodically, for 5 – 15 minutes each time, all throughout my appointment. What should have been a simple 30 minute consultation ended up being upwards of an hour. The store had employees all over doing absolutely nothing, but at the Genius Bar it was ridiculously understaffed. My employee was working with other customers DURING my appointment and making me wait to take care of who knows what. It’s apparent to me that this Apple Store doesn’t value their customers time whatsoever.
At the end of my frustrating appointment, the employee guaranteed that my computer would be repaired and ready for pickup in the store by today. Apparently, this was an outright lie. According to the mass of confused Apple employees who put me on hold in numerous times, it’s barely even being shipped to the store today. I made it clear to the employee that worked with me that I was starting school on Monday out of the area and absolutely needed my MacBook back before then. He assured me that the computer would be available by Saturday or sooner.
When I told all this information to an employee on the phone, she showed no sign of remorse or even empathy and just said «Come in on Monday.»
Thanks to this Apple Store, I’m severely inconvenienced. I won’t make the mistake of giving them my business ever again.

We bought iPhone 5s on
, but when I could not get mine to go online, my son suggested the Genius Bar at this store. We have bought many, many Apple products through the years, and so we have been to several Apple Stores before, including this one. But never before had I gone to ask for help for something I did not buy there.
I read the reviews on here and so I knew to make an appointment, arrive on time and look for the gal with the green iPad, and though the store was packed (it was the day before Christmas Eve) she sent me directly to the Genius Bar where Karen helped me right away.
She was absolutely awesome. No judgement for having bought my iPhone elsewhere, or that it was not the current flashy model. She was friendly, kind and brilliant and after much examination, she proclaimed my «new» iPhone to be absolutely fine, and that the problem was either the SIM card or with our server T Mobile.
I thanked her very much for her help, and my husband called T Mobile as soon as we got home. Karen was absolutely right on target, (it was a problem with T Mobile) and now my phone works great! And because of her, when I feel it is time to upgrade, I am coming to this Apple Store!

This is a pretty decent Apple store. It’s spacious and the employees here are very nice and very approachable. My boyfriend went in to purchase himself an Apple TV and to get his MacBook fixed. We had to go in on two different occasions, but both times were easy and stress free.
Our first time here, we were greeted right away and asked if we needed help with anything. The lady that helped my boyfriend was nice and very knowledgeable. He walked away with his new Apple TV and brought it home and set it up and got to enjoy his new purchase.
Our second visit was for his MacBook. It seemed that there was something that got messed up with an update that he attempted a little while back. The people that greeted us let us know who to talk to so that we can set up an appointment. We were told it would take about 30 minutes because of other customers before us. We ended up walking around a bit and about 15 minutes later we received a text letting us know that we can be seen. They took care of the other customers quickly and we were seated and helped right away.
The gentleman that helped us out was funny, nice and knowledgeable about what he was doing. He let us know what the problems were and advised us on what we can do with the new updates that were put on the MacBook.
I would recommend going to this location for your Apple needs. The people that work here are really friendly and knowledgeable about Apple.

EXCELLENT customer service! Fashion Valley’s Apple Store damaged the bottom of my laptop during the repair and the friendly folks at this store fixed it right away.

This place is AMAZING! I walked in with a broken iPhone and left with a brand new replacement due to the circumstances (it was cracked but stopped working when it ran out of battery). I got greeted at the door and sent to a man named Jason who was extremely friendly and knowledgable. After a few failed attempts at getting it to start back up, he decided to replace it for me. Associates like Jason & the rest of these employees made my experience a great one and I’m very likely to stay with Apple as well as recommend it to others. Outstanding!

I couldnt be any more happy with my experience at Apple today! First time coming here to replace my broken screen, I don’t know why I didn’t come here in the first place! The team was so kind !!! And the price is reasonable. Very professional, everything works perfectly. Thank you!!! So satisfied customer. Coming here soon!

Great experience w Daisy Hinostroza at the Apple Genius Bar. Knowledgeable, friendly, and best of all fixed my old iMac. I had tried endlessly to fix my outdated Mac and Daisy got it done in under 30 minutes. I hope she gets a raise and a promotion!

I should have given negative star but Unilocal does not allow me. So giving 1 star. I had a issue with my Mac book pro and scheduled the appointment at 7:30pm.I was in store by 7:40. I was told my appointment is canceled, not sure why. they said it will be rescheduled and next technician will be available in next 15 minutes. It’s been 1+ hour 8:48 pm still waiting for technician to show, still no one. I hope store employees understands the meaning of 15 minutes. I checked with other customers they also seems to have similar problem. I hope this store follows Apple standard which I doubt. I won’t recommend anyone for scheduling appointments.

This opinion may change after Saturday, but i went here because the touch screen on my iPhone isn’t working AT ALL, and they just told me to set up an appointment (which will be Saturday) but there was nothing they could do! I need my phone and now i have to wait 3 days for them to just take a look at it, I’m going back to Android if this problem isn’t fixed!

Justin Park Computer Technician has been very informative unfortunately I had to send it into the MAC Repair Shop for $ 280 it will take 3 –5 days to return with 90 day coverage

Taking a moment to Thank Ernie and Gustavo for being more than helpful as I decided on which mac laptop would best fit my needs. The store was pretty busy and other customers appeared to have lots of questions as well. Ernie was patient, knowledgeable and honest and i truly appreciate it. Gustavo patiently helped to ensure my new MacBook Pro was up and running before I left the store and Ernie ensured I purchased a laptop that best fit my college needs. Again Thank you both for exemplify what customer service should be and how it should be done. Job well done!

Switch hats and activate the aggressive, assertive adamant Mel M. I stretch and post up outside while I hit timer on my watch. Charge in like a Navy Seal on a mission. Apple stores are always packed. I bust through the door climb over kids, before the loud rude ghetto lady starts to whine I cover her face w/​my left hand and grab the Apple employee by the collar and like a Marine sergeant yell and shoot off my questions in sequential order like they’re in boot camp. It’s so loud and chaotic the staff barely caught my questions. So I jump on top of the table and ask again. With a megaphone they answer me back. I climb back down, squash the rude ghetto lady still running her mouth. I do a cartwheel, two back flips and a kung fu kick out the door. That’s how you gotta do when you have to go to an Apple store

I was hesitant to buy the Mac Pro, but I was persuaded by the salesman that it is indeed one of the best laptops on the market. I figured that if I had any questions, I could just come to the store and ask.
I went in today because I can’t get my photos to transfer from my phone to my Macbook Pro. The girl that helped me didn’t know ANYTHING!!! She kept saying that it must be the cord. She didn’t bother asking a manager or a colleague who may know how to do this, she just said sorry and let me walk out the door completely pissed off. We tried 3 different cords, and that is not the problem.
If you are going to work at the Apple Store, you need to know what you are doing. I paid $ 1600 for this stupid computer that I am beginning to hate. Thanks for NOTHING!!!
