Again food is good but service is terrible!!! This place needs to replace all the servers. I called them twice and was ignored both times until the third time someone looked at me. I just wanted a refill since no one check on my table the whole time. Would really have to think if I’m coming back here very disappointing

Dined in once here and has been ordering take out whenever I’m craving sushi. The food is satisfying. The service is reasonable considering the fact that they share the building with a separate entity. As long as the food is good… I have nothing to complain about.

Margaret is the sweetest and most caring waitress I’ve found in San Diego. This is our go-to Sushi spot in the South Bay. I especially love the California Bowls. Big portions and great value!

No greet. Manager right off the bat said sorry it’s a little disorganized. And huffed and puffed cause I needed a high chair for my daughter. Took 20mins to even get a water. Comes back with only 1. Uhm all my mom and I wanted was water to drink. Made a big fuss and said oh I only wrote down 1 water. Why is water so hard to order?! TF?! Everyone around us that was seated after us got their meals. Never again!

I frequent this establishment often; however after today I won’t be checking out the spot anymore. I am DISGUSTED!!! I found a baby roach on my napkins provided by the restaurant. That tells me the place may be infested and the is not maintaining good sanitization. I placed a call to notify then of the problem, but I couldn’t reach a manager. I left my contact info and got a call back 15 minutes later from the manager apologizing about the situation. He explained it could be a problem from their napkin vendor. Regards if this was a problem from their vendor, I called the Department of Environmental Health and will be following a complain so the restaurant can do something about their roach problem. I would be weary weary here so think twice about going…

I went to this place by myself, the staff was okay. Half of them were really nice and the other half kind of just ignored me. Service was fast. The food was good but nothing special. I ordered the fried pork udon soup. It was huge. The meat comes on the side. The pork was really good(even though I didn’t get any sauce). The soup tasted like it needed a little something more, like veggies or seaweed, it was just noodles and stock. It also comes with a little side salad which has the sesame seed dressing. I really like that dressing.

I don’t know why this place only has 3 stars. I’ve been to 3 star restaurants and this place is definitely better. I come here to get their bento box special where you can chose from 2 items that come with rice, salad and 2 California rolls. Their sweet and sour chicken is bomb they use all white meat unlike regular Asian places that don’t. their chicken teriyaki is also very good. the wait can sometimes be a little long due to always looking shot staffed but other than that I have no complaints. I always tell people to come here if they’re in the mood for some good chicken teriyaki and bomb sweet and sour chicken.

Only getting 3 stars because I love the food BUT talk about the hostess with the mostest because she had. FATASSATTITUDE when asking how many was in our party. Definitely not how I’d like to start my dining experience. *update* They gave us USEDDISPOSABLE chopsticks… What the hell?!

Terrible service. Heard it was a hit or miss type of thing so thought we’d give it a chance. Walked out after 15min of not even being acknowledged or asked for a name and how many there were in our party.

Sigh. I love the food here but the service is absolutely horrible! They’re not wearing name tags so I didn’t catch her name, but the Asian lady with the REALLY short hair was so rude I actually raised my voice at her! She never greeted us. She sat us down right away and said, «What you want to drink?» I’m sorry, but you ASK politely! She misunderstood my order of ONE green tea and brought two. I asked another staff member if they will be charging me for both or if they brought two out as a sort of refill? She said that they’d charge, so I asked her to take it away because I didn’t order two. I then had to ask her to check if our waitress got our order correct. Our waitress had said, «Same, same?» for my mom and me when she took our order. When I nodded yes, I didn’t think that maybe she thought I meant two of the same order, one for me and one for my mom. I only meant one order. So I asked the other waitress to double check my order. Our waitress overheard and came over to us, defending herself. I told our waitress that I wanted to make sure our order was correct because I didn’t want them to have to make TWO orders when we only ordered one. So, I did them a favor. But for her to come at me with beady eyes and anger in her voice was too much to handle. I told her she was rude. She never checked on us, she only gave us our check and that was it. I will never go to this Bento and Noodles again. This wasn’t the first time I’ve had her as my waitress. All the other times she was rude, but today I had had enough. I’d rather give my money to the Bento and Noodles in Eastlake.

Their food here is mediocre at best. Their California rolls here are always cold & definitely not fresh. My bf got the beef teriyaki which is pretty decent it’s about $ 7 and it tastes pretty good. I’ve tried their bento 2 or 3 item combos. Their sweet and sour pork is better than the chicken. The Katsu is decent too. Their service is a hit or miss too.

I’ve visited this restaurant for the last four years and have always received great service. The women here are hard workers and remember my daughter since she was a little baby. The service I have received have always been great! The same can be said about my food. I like to stick to specialty rolls and bentos. I have been in love with the spicy tuna tacos and the über refreshing lemon cilantro roll for awhile now. Made to order and if anything has taken awhile to prep they comp me a bowl of some yummy miso soup. The only thing I didn’t care for was the stuffed jalapeños and that’s because they are HOT and I’m a wimp.

For some reason, I tend to crave sushi on hot days. A friend and I decided to have a quick lunch at Bento&Noddles because it was in the shopping area. We walked in and were greeted, then seated right away. This spot isn’t big, but it also isn’t too small. I feel like there are a handful of sushi places that pack the restaurants with as many tables as they can fit. I like that this place had enough tables but they weren’t spaced so close together. There is always a regular menu, and then they also have a special menu for new items to offer. I tend to order from the sushi and bento boxes, but they also offer noodle and rice specials, along with vegetable and meat entrees. The basic rolls range from $ 5-$ 7. Special rolls range from about $ 8 – 12. The prices are decent with the portions. The sushi is simple and filling. Bento Boxes range from about $ 8-$ 13. They offer 2 or 3 item combos with many options to choose. Chicken teriyaki, chicken katsu, or even sashimi! THESASHIMIISALWAYSREFRESHING. I’d recommend the Chef Special Roll or the Caterpillar Shrimp Roll. This is a nice spot for a quick meal.

Very close to home and reasonably priced. Great service. We go for the Sushi, which you would not necessarily expect at a restaurant that shares the kitchen with China China. Try it. While our favorite Sushi is in Solana Beach, this one is so close and so reasonably priced, it is easy to get a quick Sushi anytime. Kids eat free on Mondays and Tuesdays.

I came here last week after a business meeting so I could eat and continue working. I was unimpressed with the greeting at the door, the lady was kinda rude but really wanted sushi and didn’t want to drive to my usual sushi restaurant. So I decided to stay. She started to put me at a table in the middle of the room but then had an argument, in front of me, with another employee of where to sit me. They decided to move me to a very small table right by the kitchen and pathway of the servers. Uhh. no. I asked to sit at a different table. They were a bit rude about it but sat me at the original table. It took almost 5 minutes for someone to take a drink order and another 5 or more for my water to come out to me. Then it took another 10 minutes for her to get my order. Thankfully the sashimi came out quickly. My miso soup was decent. A little on the cool side, I prefer it very hot. There was a lot of tofu so that was a plus. I ordered a cucumber hand roll and assorted sashimi(3 different fish, 5 pieces each). The food was ok. Did enjoy my meal choice, way better choice than fast food. I’ve had way fresher sashimi before so this was a little disappointing.(I’ve also had way worse) The service is lousy though. I would come back if I were lazy again and didn’t want to drive 25 mins to my usual place. But it wouldn’t be my first choice.

I really like their 3.99 fried string beans! Anyways, I’ve been here before a few years ago and thought it was just another sushi place but they have good specials and its fairly cheap! I got a caterpillar roll for 7.99 and it was very good. My brother also got a caterpillar roll with eel and it was tasty as well. My mom ordered a fried noodle dish that i thought wasn’t anything to out of the ordinary. Service was fast, they don’t make much conversation but that can be good sometimes. Its clean and has nice paintings on their walls, but the weird thing is i think the restaurant is split in half with the restaurant next door? I don’t know whats going on there but i thought that was kind of strange. Its not a bad place, id go there again for some sushi or a quick lunch.

Have been here a handful of times. They have pretty tasty sushi for a reasonable price. I recommend any of their crunchy rolls(not big on the raw stuff) The wait was a little more than expected but they were pretty busy. Waitresses were quick on the drink refill… Plus! Overall, have had pleasant experiences at this place. would definitely recommend
